After placing my first solo thread for judgement, I realized I never did an introduction. So I will alleviate the 'his/her' mystery.

I'm a her. Wife and mother, radio dj and musician, random odd jobs and the like. I like to keep busy.

Free time? I get a bit each weekday during my show to post here. In my other (limited) free time, you might find me writing, reading, doing some web and graphic design (still learning), playing my guitar and writing songs, watching Food Network or anything Gordon Ramsay, and gaming with my hubby.

I am a dog person and I can aptly use a gun. I enjoy baking and make my son's birthday cakes from scratch every year. (And yes, I use fondant.) For a while I volunteered at a zoo and shoveled elephant poop into giant trash cans. I'm a master of stating the obvious as an epiphany. One time at a Renaissance festival I qualified for the Queen's Archery Tournament.

So! There you go. That's all the random stuff I can think of at the moment. Oh, and I know how to drive a tractor. Nice to meet you! I've got an hour or so every weekday to dedicate here, and look forward to learning all about role-playing.

I'm actually a little intimidated by how cool you seem. :P What kind of music do you DJ?

That's quite a bio you've got there. Glad to have you on board!

Eh, don't be. Deep down I'm a hardcore nerd. People don't assume it because of how I look and what I do, but I am. And I embrace it.

I've been in the biz since before I graduated high school (about 10 years now) so I've dj'ed everything but golden oldies. That includes doing morning shows where we torment interns. Yes, smashing eggs on someone's head is both satisfying and fun. As is rolling them down a flight of stairs in a construction barrel... and waxing every square inch of body hair from the chest and underarms. Poor guy... he cried. (Honestly, I'm not a mean person. I'm not sure why I took pleasure in those things.)

Tell you one thing though: radio is a cutthroat and backstabbing (corporate) business and I swore it off for a while. A few years ago a small locally owned station was hiring. Seeing as how I needed a job, I took it. I don't particularly care for a majority of country music, but the people I work with are pretty incredible. I mean, come on! I get to play guitar at work and no one cares! In fact, the GM enjoys it! Since my work gets done it's not a problem. As for what I actually do: an afternoon show and the station imaging. On the side I do voiceover work. (I also wrote my character's solo thread at work!)

Anyway, thanks for saying hi!

@Elrundir: Thanks! Glad to be here.

Gordon Ramsay is fucking hilarious. Welcome to the site. We can always use more cool chicks. Also, more redheads. Just saying, if you know any.

Welcome to the site Sage,

Your first piece of writing was very enjoyable, if it's a sign of things to come, you are not only welcome, but very welcome!

Stay awhile :)

You must really mean it to post it twice!

Kidding! I've gotten a few posting errors today as well. Thanks for the kind words. I am out of practice with my writing and I really look forward to the feedback and constructive criticism.

In addition, I am realizing just how bad my spelling has become...

@Letho: Ramsay says, "Hang your heads in shame." One of the best lines yet.

Not bad... Not bad at all.

...I don't suppose you're refering to Queen's University in Kingston, are you?

No, sorry. Quite a bit further south is where I'm located.

@SandStorm: If you're referring to my spelling not being bad, it's because I make sure to let Spell Check mock me so no one else will. (Hence the italics issues with copy/paste.)

That sounds great! Should I ink the application in my own blood or someone else's?

But a head's up: I'll be having surgery Aug 17th (two weeks from now) with a one to two week recovery. So unless you want obscure and incoherent pain killer-induced ramblings, I'll be away for a short time.

Won't be any different from your typical Slayer of the Rot posts.

Or any posts made by Jack Frost :D

I see Jack has recently been rewritten. Erissa is the type that will appreciate him when she understands him I hope.

With Slayer..........

Oh dear.... her sensibilities will be offended by him and his hidden f-bomb skill. Deeply. But when the bell begins its toll, it comes down to who has stuck by her. Blood relation has proven futile in her world.

As for you, you level my ass up so... um... yeah. Given. I will get as creative as I need to.
