According to Manda, that earthquake was the most amaze-balls thing to happen today. And even though we were so close, all we felt was the apartment oscillating by approximately 6 inches. Nothing fell over. Nothing fell off of anything. Nothing was damaged. Just a whole lot of shaking. Apparently people who weren't on the third floor had it worse, though.

It was the most amazeballs thing to happen today because on my birthday, Zook made me wash dishes, scrub the floor (the carpet from the ketchup that HE got everywhere), cook lunch, and then denied me of my one birthday wish - to go swimming with him. But the entire day was redeemed when the mom of the toddler I watched told me she is teaching him to sing, "Happy happy birthday, from all the dirt to you! Happy happy birthday, the earthquake says to you!" <3
