Why hello thar,

On previous forums I often went by the moniker Taiz, so I suppose I'll do so here as well. Well, I was encouraged by my friend Grandjester, whom I know from earlier mentioned previous forums, and decided to browse this forum's setting and lore. My conclusion should be obvious by now, since here I am. My faith in my writing skills isn't all that great, but I enjoy post-by post roleplay and welcome any constructive criticism to my style of writing wholeheartedly. Which, by the way, is what drew me to this site; the system of judging members' rp-performance in a thread and offering advice and opportunities to improve one's writing seems to me as a great idea.
I've been working on a character profile for a while, and it's almost finished. The only concerns I have with it is that I'm not really accustomed to the forum and its setting yet, but I'm sure that can be solved. I expect to have my profile up either in a few minutes, or somewhere tomorrow, depending on various factors I don't quite understand myself.

Err, what more to tell? Ah, I'm Dutch. And.....eh, well, I suppose that's all for now. No need to write a whole profile on myself now, is there? So to wrap things up, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintances (soon, I guess) and look forward to actively participating on this forum.

Right, that'll be all now.

tl;dr: Hi I'm new, nice to meet you all.

Oh you crazy Dutch.

Welcome, enjoy your stay, and if you need someone to RP with.

You're not American.

This is acceptable.

We have to stick together my friend, because this is Althanas.

Europeans aren't exactly treated like gold dust and considered gods here ;).

Hey now, I'm a hybrid. Born in Europe, raised in America. I'll love you.

Oh, right. Welcome! I liked your tl;dr at the end.

Hello and welcome to Althanas! ^ ^

Will be interested in seeing what sorta character you make, and I'm sure you'll get your bearings soon. Watch out for Artemis, he's a creeper :D

Kidding....

...but no, seriously, he's a creeper sometimes.

@All: Thanks for the welcoming, appreciate it.

@DuffyBracken: Yeah, we should totally stick together. It's dangerous on the internet for us Europeans, especially on them roleplayan' forums. Incidentally, whilst browsing your profile I was under the impression you are fond of Final Fantasy IX. If this is so, then you are now the proud recipient of a symbolic brofist and hugbump.

@SirArtemis: I look forward to any future creeping that will be done and accept your unconditional love. Please don't disappoint. =)

@orphans: I'll be sure to keep an eye on him. Mostly because creeping is fun, and I wouldn't want to miss it.

@All #2: Just posted my profile. Probably somewhat redundant to note it here as well, but whatever.

This @*person* thingy is kinda douchey. I should stop doing it. I hate twitter.

Ha, yeah, the Tantalum troupe are inspired by the same group from FF9. Duffy is a knife fighting acrobat like Zidane, though the names and appearance have moved on from that now into something altogether more formed.

I'm glad it's still working though, *hug bump* (which is what exactly? :p)

I have no idea. Seriously, I don't even know why I use the word. It's probably something between a hug and a bump, or some combination of the two, whatever a bump might be. But whatever it might be, you received one, and you should treasure it always.
But yeah, had that suspicion when I first saw the Tantalum PG. It was either that, or it had something to do with the torment of Tantalus from Greek mythology. After reading the description, I figured it was probably the former.

Ah, well, Tantalus is the god the troupe worship (and Duffy is the avatar of Tantalus) so it's a bit of both.

It's...complicated.

Anyway, less talk, more role-playing already!

Haha, yeah. I'll have to wait till' my profile is straightened out and approved though. But yes, once we're there, the RP shall commence.
