Bear in mind, the only Pokemon I've played all the way through was Red/Blue/Yellow. I played about a quarter through gold and silver before their save chips died, and I never had any other nintendo handheld past a GBA, not to mention my Emerald and Ruby were stolen.

Haha. I did a production of Mousetrap alongside a buddy from highschool, and he spent every single spare moment of time playing pokemon. Outside between acts? Playing pokemon. Changing his vest between scenes? Playing pokemon. Offstage for two minutes? Get a battle in there.

The funny thing is, he was never into it when we were kids.

I know some people take it to the extreme just like anything. Think about it, there are some people who collect bugs for a living yet it is still classified as a hobby. Some people play pokemon as a living by going to every tournament possible. I myself play pokemon when there is nothing else to do so it is a hobby.
