Greetings everyone.

Myself and Enigmatic Immortal have been wanting to do a futuristic thread for a while now, and we've finally gotten it under way here.

A (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?23541-Mirror-Mirror-(Closed))s it's set 300 years into the future from the current timeline, people are naturally going to have passed on, so if you'd like either an event mentioned in passing, or a cameo or street name or statue named after a character's deeds in life, drop us a line here and we'll see what we can do!

I've already had Orphans complaining about her immortality, so get it whilst it's hot!

>:! was not complaining! I was sad faced! which.... is more like whining - whatever >:!

Thing is, dunno if Azza would stay alive or die yet. Both are possible, but.... 300 years into the future provides many many.... opportunities, yes? XD

You could make a reference to some of my longer living characters. Or maybe Artemis will have a son...

MetalDrago
09-28-11, 06:04 PM
I'd like to see myself with a cameo, but it's likely Drago will still be alive at that point. Rehtul, on the other hand, will probably have passed on, but I don't know of anything he would have done yet. Feel free to make something up about the Ice mage, if you'd like, though

Rayse Valentino

This one is easy. Refer to Salvar as the Valentino-Salvic Empire.

The Relt Peltfelters' Association for the Benefit of Displaced Relt Peltfelters. An organization run entirely by alternate versions of Relt Peltfelter that keep falling through time and space, to help acclimate and assist other Relt Peltfelters that find themselves displaced to Althanas, which is clearly some kind of ridiculous cosmic drainhole. Which I guess makes Relt like the hair that builds up. Hm.

Unless Rehtul fell in battle, there is a good chance he'll still be around, as Mystics have almost elf-like longevity.

I'm up for it. Dan will still be alive 300 years later.

Kyla will be dead, so yeah...there is one. I don't want to give too much away about my plans for her death, but lets just say she isn't going out a good guy. Akiv should still be kicking though, he and Ella should have done some amazingly good things by then.

Elrundir
09-28-11, 10:57 PM
Well, if you find yourselves out by Raiaera, Elrundir will certainly still be around. Wouldn't mind just putting my head round the corner if you do.

I think it would be cool if Z made a cameo. Considering the facts that I believe the average lifespan for Jasmine's IC race is about 250-300 and that Z will be getting a blessing to mirror it, Z would have probably just passed away recently, or coming very very close to his deathbed.

Of course, I'd imagine that there could probably be a statue of him or something, he was the Public Face of the Ixian Knights afterall.

Also just wanted to note that this is actually a pretty cool quest idea. Just Bill & Ted this thing up. Or Doctor Who it up. Or whichever permutation of time travel mythos you most prefer. Have fun with it, 'cause it's rad.

Thanks for everyone's interest, I will do my best to incorporate everyone's requests.

If anyone has specifics, please PM them to me, i.e - Artemis, ancestor or statue or story of deed etc.

Hopefully I can do everyone justice!

Being body shunted 300 years into your future self deserves epic continuity!

(And kittens).

I'll give you some details I wopuld like, though no nessicarily -have- to incorporate via IM today

Hey Sei.

Sei is only dead in the future because of something integral to the plot we're working on (i.e, who the bad guy is).

I look forward to hearing about your massive statue and the orphanage in your name though ;)

Huzzah for alternate realities! xD! I'd say just run with it. At this point, I don't know what would have happened to Azza after 300 years, but dying is a good start.

Also, there would be Zerith action figurines and a Saturday morning cartoon and breakfast cereal made after him simply because of his devilish good look and perfect hair <_< damn your perfect hair

STRAWBERRY AND CHOCOLATE BIT OATMEAL FOR ZERITH!

*Cough*

This is going to be the MOST EPIC THREAD EVER

Zerith

...you forgot the fact that Zerith would have his own "Old Spice" style commercial for shampoo.

I imagine Zerith, standing Captain Morgan style with one foot on the back of a bandit. Halberd in one hand on shoulder, bottle of old spice (or Althanian version) shampoo in the other. "You'll smell just as good even after a workout."

^ hahahaha

also:

It's actually closer to 450 but meh

300 years from now Jas would still be around, though probably looking at impending widowhood and most likely retired from adventuring. Her and Z's kids would be quite grown, quite possibly with grandkids of their own

this sounds really awesome, and unless i have a cameo to go over (which would be cool and i wouldn't be posting in this if it woudn't be alright), i think i shall wait until the end to read it

I was just working from the racial description in your profile. But if you say it's closer to 450 and Z's blessing from V'dralla is planned to mirror it, then I suppose Z would be still be around.

So my best guess would be that Z would have finished being a hero for the IK and returned back to Moriah with the family. Regardless if Eric is still king or not, Z would still be acting as both prince and master of the Morian Army.

...though I do imagine that after 300 years, Z's influence would have caused Moriah to expand and become known/involved in Althanas.

Jasmine
09-30-11, 01:29 AM
that's cause i forgot i was thinking about changing it. ooops.

but yeah, if i keep it at the 250-300 range, both of them will be looking at either being dead, or almost dead and trying to decide where they want to be buried.

EDIT: Eric would also not be king, his son, Dylan would be king. Eric is older than Jas and would quite possibly be dead 300 years from now. Course, Z and Jas still being alive at 320-something would be equal to humans today living to be 100+ years old. That is to say a rarity, but not unheard of.

There are far too many long lived or immortal people on Althanas.

Duffy and Jensen don't feel special anymore :(.

Marcus would almost certainly be dead. So dead.

09-30-11, 03:24 AM
You could mention Dorian Sesthal (i'm sure his last name won't be a big deal anymore at that point), who united the dragon clans that rule over Northern Salvar.

Letho
09-30-11, 03:43 AM
Letho will be dead as a doornail as well. His spirit (ghost, mirage, whatever you want to call it) will occasionally be seen wandering through Corone, especially if there are troubled times in the land for reasons I would rather not disclose at this point. His progeny, however, will reclaim the kingdom of Savion, and under their rule it would unite the Island Kingdoms of Audelas which will subsequently rise to be a prominent realm and a significant military force. At least, that's one avenue I see in his future. Not sure if you can use it in any way, but there it is.

Zook Murnig
09-30-11, 08:14 AM
Caduceus will be long dead. He's only human, after all. But feel free to include Sinai magicians like him, as they'll still be around. Any questions, hit me up on AIM.

Wouldn't..... elves live for a relatively long time too? So wouldn't most elves around 300 years ago still be hoofin it around?

But, for those approaching their end, they'd be old and venerable. Or maybe not venerable, but leading a quiet life as a crazy cat person.

At least that's my thought behind. Might even wanna kick it up to a millennium later, just to be sure those who are long lived are either pushing daisies or too old and senile to know their breakfast cereal from cat litter.

Remember! Immortality doesn't always mean a young body. Jensen and Duffy have the advantage of that.

Really, what we're looking for is more along the lines of deeds, ancestors, or accomplishments. We're not gonna really pop in and say hello. Like what Zook and Rayse did, give us grand kids or statues or something like that.

:D

Duffy

We said 300 years to scale the evolution of technology and culture more realistically, and because Duffy would be dead any later than that :p.

OH! I HAVE AN IDEA! The Norlond Brothers who have a forge and who I work for might be travelling, so to speak, with where their forge is currently built, given 300 years. They're leaving Knife's Edge now because of what went down. So you could make the forge with a little memorial there in Artemis' honor while they continue to work.

OH.... mmm... yeah, Azza can be dead. Or perceived as such. (or maybe she lives on a farm in the middle of no where! herding cats...)

Probably a stone somewhere (maybe at the park?) that only has a small carving of the mark on her back or something to serve as her "grave".

No grandkids for Azza~

Holly's orphanage could either still be there, or re-purposed as a school in what was Underwood.

Though... hmmm.... said in the thread that Azza died sixty years ago, and what she was doing until then? XD no idea! But feel free to run with it. I'll only gripe if it's something... weirdly off. Like... I'll let you use your imaginations.

Nope. I got nothing. I'll take my mortality and average life span, thank you.

Most of our elves will probably still be kicking around even a millennium from now. Elrundir would probably be over the hill by that point, but still around.

All right, let's see...

Dan Lagh'ratham went down in his history for his numerous traitorous acts, and while there were some kind hearted few who tried to save him, he always had his own interests at heart. He backstabbed his friends, he turned on his countries, and when he finally found his daughter, she put a knife in his heart. Literally. Dan was relegated to only a footnote in history books as a black hearted turncoat, despite destroying Saraelia and killing his entire remaining, surviving race along with a great deal of the Wilmhearst family slayer clan and their despotic, corrupted ruling council, the Seven Slayers. The most famous of his children, Meredith Tiamat, his daughter with Claire, and Soma Vein Wilmhearst XXVIII, his son with Ghauntyrr'stra Do'afin, are credited with killing their father. There is a statue of the brother and sister adventuring pair in Alerar, near the crater in the middle of Kachuck where the battle was fought. Due to their halfling Saraelian genetics, both are still alive.

Dan regenerated from the battle with his children and retired to the mountainside, carving a home out of a cavern he personally made. There are numerous urban legends and sightings, in the style of Bigfoot on earth, of him, and travellers or soldiers who become lost on the mountain are inevitably found dead from attack by a pack of wild dogs, even though no tracks are ever found.
