Dear Althanas;
I just spent three days straight designing a character for your community. I did research - something I promised myself I wouldn't do after I had graduated from college this past May. Please help me make sure that said venture was worth it and:
1.) Write with me!
2.) Tell me what you think!
I'm new to this whole writing online bit. In fact, I haven't written much of anything other than poetry.

There's so much CELTIC awesome in your profile I don't know where to begin!
If your next words are 'I'm Welsh' then we're going to get on like a house on fire.
Welcome to Althanas :)

An Ithaca student? Bah. Had he gone to a vanilla SUNY college, I'd take Jack more seriously as a character.
That said, I wouldn't mind doing a thread with you.

Sei always be willing to do a thread with you, yo. Just PM me with some ideas and we'll shoot back and forth.
Also, felt the need to finish your thread title.

Haha! Wow, this is awesome - I don't think I've ever had quite the quality of welcome as I've received just now. Thank you, everyone, for all the compliments, regards, promises for collaboration, and assistance with finishing songs.
And Duffy - I was born and raised in South Carolina but both sides of my family are wholly Irish. That being said, I'm madly in love with Celtic lore and the Gaelic family of languages. Sorry to disappoint!
That's okay, we can jazz it up Irish vs. Welsh sometime.

This might seem strange, but just looking at that last sentence makes me happy. I think it's all the "y's".
Also, so that I can work on improving my writing: Did anyone else have trouble understanding that Dyrnwyn wasn't a corporeal sword but an essence that Jack could manifest and wield at will? I feel a bit sloppy for not having communicated that more precisely. Hrm.

I had typed out a response but then the computer ated it.
Long answer short:
You are megaman, without the mega and more man, and you suck powers by touching weapons.
that's how my mind worked...

Precisely! More will be detailed in my first thread, as well, but you've grasped the concept.
It's funny, I hadn't even thought of that metaphor. However, I do love me some Megaman.

Everything tends to be better when you can use a Megaman reference.
RIP Legends 3.

I curse the heavens and shake my fist at the gods for their fickle designs.
Megaman Legends 3, you will live forever in my dreams.

Sei, did you know that when you see that sidebar on the right with the post previews on the index page, your avatar looks like the eye of sauron?

I appreciate that, Silence.
And since I know what Rayse was trying to say was "OMFGURBACKOLOLZ," I'll thank him, too.
Less talk, more posting.
*also, welcome back, good to see you, how have you been, what have you been up to!?

Welcome back to the site. We never met as I was on my own hiatus the first time you were around but I look forward to reading your work this time around.

Ah, Duffy -- I'm looking forward to finishing that battle, you know.
And Revenant, I sincerely appreciate the welcome. I'm looking forward to doing a gratuitous amount of writing now that my life is back in some measure of order.
