Actually, I'd like to write some stuff with whatever active people are around still. Prefer Scara Brae for now, till I get some kind of story under the characters belt. I have a couple idea's for the character and the direction I want to ultimately take him, but starter quests and getting used to him would be fun.

Hi, this is one of Duffy's many accounts.

He is called Arden Janelle, and in effect, he is the second in command of the Scourge at present, a title called the Hound.

As per the description in the almanac entry here (http://www.althanas.com/wiki/index.php?title=Scara_Scourge), the way to contact the Scourge is fairly prescribed.

If you post a thread with the White Hand on your door, and then pop to the Message Tree, ensue an entrance :)

However, if you get yourself...'noticed' shall we say, I'm sure yourself and Blank can cross paths and we can welcome you to the reformed, but still secretive premier muscle.

Blank has been working on turning the Scourge more into a freedom/resistance group to temper violent crime in the city. By all means, they're not exactly goody two shoes now, but they're certainly more honourable than you might have been used to.

Imagine the Thieves Guild and Assassins guild of Discworld fame combined with the Knights Templar (sans religion) and you're kind of there.

Don't piss them off though!

Kidding! joining the scourge sounds like something a thief would do. Not saying the BoO would not cool either!

I'm thinking the BoO would be a fun thieves guild to expand upon and spread over time, getting a group and haven for the group in every major city... make it a PG in the future. For now, training and a background with the Scourge would be a good start to being a leader of a thief PG, haha.

I'm thinking that we can play off the fact that the two have past, with the New Years thread.

My idea is this: I started the thread with a couple posts as an intro, just because it was so long. Amras is escaping through the sewers to get away from guards after stealing some stuff from a general goods store (didn't name it, you could if you wanted to go with this idea). Atelar, being an accomplice in this little thief task, could have escaped a different way and meet up with Amras back at the Broken Lion Lodge where the two are sharing a room in the Numarr Slums. Meet in the hallway, or you could get there before, and see the White Hand on a piece of paper tacked on the door.

From there it's just a matter of going to the Message Tree and taking on our names and interest and then letting Blank jump in and go from there.

Good plan?

Lol restless, I do the color text because its a little habit of mine, and I prefer to make the dialogue stand out from the walls of text lol, it is a bit annoying on the white background, if that's the one you're using, Lol I use the darkthanas background so it looks pretty good.

And I tend to repeat people's dialogue so I can more merge my post with theirs, also helps for timing and stuff, if I wanted to, like, say something before or whatnot,
anyway, I guess I'll drop the color I guess :/ Lol they've grown on me xD

Also, I'm not sure if you allowed Amaretta into your New years thread, but I am a bit confused now, I'm guessing she PM'd you and you allowed her to slightly auto your character, so I guess I'll just continue as nothings going on?

VietMyke: Amaretta was going to join from the beginning, she was the original person that was going to be part of the thread. we talked and I wrote the dialogue that Amras said in her post so she could add it, isntead of writing smaller posts for little dialogue. We can do the same thing if you'd like to do that as well. I don't mind a little bunnying, as long as i'm warned or asked first.

The colored text thing is just a little pet-peeve of mine. i think it detracts from the narrative by drawing the eye away from what is written and forcing it to focus on the colors instead. unless there is a specific reason for it, it's distracting. That's all. Repeating dialogue is just unnecessary, normally, because the reader doesn't need to read what someone said twice. You can interject things between dialogue anyway you want as you go though. If you'd like to add something you can PM me with something you've written and want to put into my post and vice versa, i think that way works best in the long run. =)

Blank: Not to worry, you are fine. We needed to get the white hand on teh door anyway, so it was either you putting it there or us just writing that it was there.
