Name: Thomas Armerson

Race: Human

Age; Gender, Hair Color, and Height/Weight: 21; Male; Golden Blonde; 6’ 0”/190
lbs.

Language: Common

Occupation: Student. Part time smith.

Personality:
Thomas is the type who is always eager to be helpful. Of course, due to his upbringing as the son of a blacksmith, most of his solutions involve just the right amount of force. What the right amount of force is depends on if was enough to get the job done. If it wasn’t, then you require more. He’s never one to back down from a fight, or to start one if it will help someone weaker out. But luckily for him, he knows when it’s time to run from a fight too, though he’s loathed to do so.

History:
Born in the land of Salvar, Thomas Armerson was the son of the local blacksmith, one talented enough to stay in business, but not much else. But Thomas still felt content, save for wondering if there was more to life than cleaning out the forge. Day in and day out, he worked to keep the shop tidy, his father stocked with material, and the local pigs from the nearby pig farm out of their yard. He should really get that fence mended someday…

The years passed without note, (save for the time the old windmill became flooded with popcorn. That was an exciting day!) and with each one passed, Thomas grew stronger, his endurance lasting longer, and like all in his trade, he learned that most of life’s problems could be easily solved if you hit it enough. But all this changed, while clearing out the old shed in the back of the yard, filled with the mish mash of junk once belonging to his uncle’s cousin.

While pulling a particularly large black kettle (or was it a pot), a pile of knick knacks became dislodged, and he was soon buried under old dwarf tossing trophies, pornographic macramé, and a complete set of Encyclopedia Turnipicus. But it was the heavy tome entitled “Famous Hero’s Adventurer’s Correspondence Course: VOL I” colliding with his head that his mind was changed from the simple life of a simple black smith, and when he awoke from his mild concussion, he found his every waking hour not at work pouring over the extensive manual on how one could go from an everyday to an extraordinary Hero!

Skills:
•Swordmanship: Intermediate; he’s past figuring out which end is the
pointy end, but he still has a ways to go to reach “Master” class.
•Shield Defense: Above average; due to a few bad romances, he learned
at an early age the value of grabbing a piece of wood and hiding behind it.
•Black Smith: Growing up with a black smith father, one can’t help but
learn how to correctly hit something with a hammer.
•Wilderness Survival: Due to a few years in the local junior path finder
troop, he picked up a few basic understanding of what mushrooms to
eat, and what not to poke with a stick.
•Test Taking: Thomas is good at taking and organizing notes, the use of
mnemonic devices and correct study habits.
•Throwing: Above average. He’s been known to bulls eye ground gnomes
on the back of his thoroughbred.
•Horse Riding: Average.
•Reading: Above average. He has an above fighter class level of literacy,
due to his uncle’s fondness for erotic farmer’s almanacs.

Abilities:

•Thick Skull: Thomas can take a hit to the head. Several times.
Repeatedly, and still stay conscious. Unfortunately. This gives him two
times human endurance.
•Famous Hero’s Adventurer’s Correspondence Course Guide Book: No
matter the circumstance, no matter the situation, and no matter how
much is going on, there is a chapter on it, and Thomas can find a way to
read it.
•Shield Bash: Sometimes the shield is as mighty as the sword. Allows him
to stun a target with a well-placed strike from his shield.

Equipment:
- Simple Steel Sword: a simple gift from his father as celebration for him
finally leaving home.
- Simple Oak Shield: Good enough to take a few hits instead of you.
- Leather and canvas Backpack: Just what every adventurer needs to hold
all the stuff he finds on his adventure.
- FHACGB Vol. I: Everything a budding adventurer needs to know to embark
on the adventure of a lifetime. Hopefully, that will last long enough to order
the next volume.
