What's going on, everyone? Figured it was convention to hop in here and say hey if you're new so... hey. Was referred by a member who no longer plays here, though I don't recall the name of the account.

Not new to the post-by-post style either, but I am used to a more futuristic and mechanized setting, so I'm looking forward to the change of pace.

Anyways, I'll save the long paragraphs for the infinitely more interesting story-driven writing (my life story isn't all that exciting, so I don't count that). =p

You could always write in alerar. That's a more technologically advanced location in Althanas and I feel an underserved region given how many people roleplay the more fantasy fiction aspect and less on the sci-fi. Either way, welcome and looking forward to seeing some of your work! Feel free to ask questions. The people with italic names on the bottom of the forum are mods so hit them up =)

Be sure to check out some of the regional information in the wiki (Compendium) and read the newbie guides, there are a few. Aha, right on. Although I don't think Alerar has seen anti-matter weapons or thrusters that make a machine move faster than the eye can see! Never too late though, eh?!

Aha, right on. Although I don't think Alerar has seen anti-matter weapons or thrusters that make a machine move faster than the eye can see! Never too late though, eh?! Pack enough gunpowder and set it off and you'll have a hard time finding matter after that. Does that count as an anti-matter weapon? Also, some elves can run very fast. Both can be found in Alerar. :P

Good enough substitutes for me, I'm looking forward to a change of pace anyhow! The sci-fi things get a little out-of-hand sometimes... imaginations running perhaps a little too rampant and whatnot. The laws of physics have been broken inside peoples' heads (and manifested in their writing, as a consequence) more times than I can possibly count~
