View Full Version : Looking for a PG that's not Ixian? Look no further!

Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It has come to my attention that since dissonance fizzled out and died, that we need a strong PG to take the fight to the Ixian Knights. Now, Requiem's Night of Debauchery seems like a good start to release you baddies into the world, to realize that we're not just going to take it and allow Althanas to become overrun with the concept of justice and peace and what have you.

That is why I'd like to introduce you to Misery Business.

What is Misery Business?

We're a company that, as far as outsiders know 'try to alleviate the misery of Althanas. That's our business'. This is merely a facade for our grander scheme, which is to further our own goals along, regardless of whether we cause misery.

Did we just save the orphans from that burning orphanage? Chances are, we -caused- that burning orphanage. What? That baron was slaughtered in his sleep? Looks like one of our own will take up the mantle and put the killer to justice, even if it is his own child and even if it means that hero has to take up the reins as a new baron.

Who are members of Misery Business?

As it stands at the moment, there is only one member of Misery Business, Zack Blaze. However, I am hoping to have such a decent turn out that I may be able to establish a sort of 'Anti-IK' sort of deal. This includes teams dedicated to creating monsters, a team for espionage-esque sabotage, False information brokers, an Anti-Hero team (that is, a team that causes disasters and tragedies to some how turn them around and make themselves look better), and a team full of escaped convicts and prisoners to counter-balance the 'Reformation' aspect of the IK.

Why make a new PG? They all tend to fizzle out.

Though my activity as of late had been somewhat lax, I promise you I will pour out my heart and soul into making this a PG on par with the Ixian Knights. An Alternative for all of you baddies who don't see yourselves as the harbingers of Althanas Peace, but the rulers of its domains.

Do you have something against the IK?

Not at all, its just that Sei been recruiting people for far too long without anyone really batting an eye towards him. I figured it was time to make sure that we correct that by giving him a decent run for his money. Besides, we might be able to incite a massive Power Group War, and from what I understand, those things were all the rage at one time.

What should I do if I want to join Misery Business?

Simply whip up a quick synopsis similar to that of the IK. Name, Reason you want to join, how you might think you can benefit Misery Business, ways you want Misery Business to benefit you, and how active you can be in your posting. Once that is done, I will make sure to run a quest with you so we can start getting this thing off of the ground.

Now, who's ready to get into the Business of Misery?

Sure, this sounds like it could be jolly good fun.

Name: Madison Freebird

Reason to join: Maddy's always had an inkling for committing acts of subterfuge and villainy, and ever since her bookstore was burned down, it would give her purpose in her life. "Eh, it's something to do, I guess," as she would put it.

How she could benefit Misery Business: A former assassin of mild infamy, she can be reliable for cloak-and-dagger work. Also, as a burgeoning alchemist, Madison would be pleased to grow into the Mad Doctor role for the group. Need a mildly threatening disease developed and unleashed in order to curry favor with a cure? Or perhaps a few vials of volatile substances that can quickly spread fires? Why not Zoid--er, Madison?

What she'd want out of the group: Adequate supplies and test subjects for her experiments, as well as a safe place to do them in.

How active I can be in posting: I can knock out a post within three or four days, tops.

Welcome Aboard, Madison. I'll get with you to discuss your initiation.

Now we have some star power, maybe this thread can pick up some steam.

Sorry for the delay, BlackAndBlueEyes, but you finally have your reply up.

Warpath
09-01-12, 10:26 PM
Name: Flint Skovik

Reason: At his core, Flint is a conflict-addicted anarchist with authority issues. Being a bully is a philosophical choice for him, and he only respects strength. He ought to fit right in.

Benefits: He's the best in hired muscle, and he's smart to boot. He's a sharp thinker, a sly manipulator, a deep schemer, and an expert rabble rouser. He'd be as comfortable in the role of mastermind as he would be as a common leg-breaker. With nearly two decades of intensive combat training, he's got plenty to pass down to the next generation of brutes, ruffians, and bullies. You know, cannon fodder.

What he wants: Conflict. He'd join up with any group willing to stoke the fires of conflict on Althanas, and bring its corrupt governments low. After all, you can't do everything yourself.

Activity: Eh, varies a bit week to week. I try to write a little bit every day, but every other day might be more likely.

Alright! Now we're talking! We have ourselves the Brawn, the Brains, and the Science! It's like The Sopranos meets Breaking Bad! But you know...less tragedy coming our way.

Will get with ya on a recruitment thread, Warpath.

Ags
09-02-12, 09:31 AM
Name: Agnie Lar

Reason: She's new to Althanas and has bounds of enthusiasm just waiting for the right outlet, so her answer to an invitation into an exclusive club would be a no-brainer. Her own moral compass is messed up enough from being raised in the chaotic fairy world that, as long as it's worded eloquently, most anything seems like a completely reasonable idea.

What's in it for you: She is a master of disguise, commands hoards of minions, can get into lots of places she shouldn't, fixes stuff, and once she's been somewhere, can teleport fellow MBs there in the blink of an eye. Plus she bakes damn good cookies.

What's in it for Ags: A sense of belonging, perhaps, though she's self-interested enough that she would fit in fine with this particular kind of crowd. She'd really just like exciting stuff to do and to make some cool "friends" (that term is used lightly as she still has a thing or two to learn about normal relationships).

Activity: I can post most days, though it can vary.

Been expecting you Ags, welcome aboard! I will have both a recruitment thread for you, as well as one for Warpath, open tonight, once I get off work.
