The group’s in-character location:
Currently centres its operations in Winchester Mansion, a modest small holding in Scara Brae’s noble district. The house is by no means least lacking in flair and style, but is humble compared to the other trading companies that run in direct opposition to the Winchester Rose. The company owns two small warehouses on the dockside district in Scara Brae, from which it loads the two small schooners that run regular supply routes around the island. For missions further afield, they possess a large galley ship that can run as far afield as Salvar without difficulty. They operate a small outpost in Knife’s Edge, through which their caravans run out into the shattered landscape, and north through the Ahyark Pass to Berevar.
The group’s goals and purpose:
The Winchester Rose is a member of the Guilds-man Circle of Scara Brae, a collection of guilds and organisations tethered to a common Law that operates a senate of governance that holds almost as much power as the Queen herself. Leopold Winchester is a Maester of the Guild of Merchants, alongside Lady Clarissa Montague, his closest rival of the Montague Brigade Trading Emporium. The goal of the group is, in essence, to turn profit. They are an idealistic trading operation, however, never shipping illegal goods, arms, or narcotics of any nature. They specialist in shipping building materials from Scara Brae to further afield, covering the gaps in the market that the other trading companies, who see a quicker gain in weapons, fortunately create.
