... I present Eivør Pálsdóttir (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiv%C3%B8r_P%C3%A1lsd%C3%B3ttir).
If Korn had been a hot blonde chick hailing from (semi) Norwegian roots (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faroe_Islands), in a different language, backed by only a drum (that she plays), this is it.
Be prepared for something different...

Why -are- there still Korn fans?
I figured most had slit their wrists by now.

Because unlike what you think, Korn ain't emo music. Now, had you said My Chemical Romance, I would be inclined to agree with you. Instead, I feel I must remind you of utterly awesome songs Korn did that are by and FAR not emo... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=239vHrwt8Rs&ob=av2e)
Back onto topic, good song. Definitely different...but then again I'm a fan of artists that try different and manage something that sounds good.

Ummm..... Freak on a leash? Falling away from me? Somebody, Someone? Coming Undone? I'll buy that they aren't completely emo, but their lyrics usually have to do with two things, and thats either sex (Twisted Transister, the soing that made me lose all respect for Korn, and ADIDAS), Or being overtly depressing to the point of hurting yourself/others.
Don't get me wrong, there are good Korn songs. Chutes and Ladders is awesome, but you can't deny that they don't also appeal to the emo crowd. Thats a bold face lie.
As for the song. Meh.

Back on topic I honestly don't hear any resemblance between this band and Korn. At least with some of Korn's songs you can head bang to.

God that was awful!
Haunting vocals, Sage.
She's strikingly beautiful, too, so not just a pretty voice.
Will have to indulge my world music fetish with this a little more.
Especially when she starts guttural rolling and the drums get heavier!
Helllooooo Viking PC...

Hey, I did warn you... it's different.
I've been in the radio industry since I was 17; I'm pretty jaded by what the music factories crap out (which the people inexplicably consume like slop from a trough).
I tend to be a little adventurous in my listening pursuits, and I'll listen to anything once. And this... hehe, it's a chick with a drum, grunting. That tickles me pink, just for what it is.
If you've any more suggestions Sage, I'm all ears.
Brostnar Borgir
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd3-DRZurNY&feature=related)That's my favourite of hers thus far.

Sometimes I go hypocrite and indulge my emo side while I listen to this... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrvAWuGzAVs)
Don't tell anyone, especially Sei. ^^

Lol :) The guy in the top hat dancing reminds me of someone...
I was digging this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5-ddLodThA&feature=related) last night.
Edit: if your thing is world... this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB7IlSOUlyQ&feature=related) is interesting. A didgeridoo worked in.
Ha!
When I saw the trailer for that film I vomited.
When I sat down and watched it, I was actually pleasantly surprised. It's pretty good, and the music is too :).
In a vain attempt to give a snap shot of my current music preferences (I'm eclectic, to say the least):
The National - Bloodbuzz Ohio
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfySK7CLEEg&feature=related)
Jon Allen - In Your Light
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWQIn46i8mg)
Jessie J - Nobody's Perfect (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSZVYZTze74)
Ruarri Joseph - Blankets
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQdxR_LZp8k)
Silversun Pickups - Lazy Eye
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6jCdUaaE1Q)
And...about one of my favourite 'hardcore' bands and songs to finish off: such a singalong belter!
We Are The Ocean - The Waiting Room (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWTIgmAHFS4) (And they're not sodding American either!)
I'll get off my soap box now...

Niiiice choice with We Are The Ocean!

Dang... this is definitely different. \m/ I think she might just be the best female growler and grunter I've heard so far.
Pleh. Most American artists nowadays either use auto-tune or just plain crap, honestly. Especially those who are "mainstream"... >.<; And people wonder why I don't listen to the radio. XD

I'm glad someone said it. I'm not even sure this is even in the rock genre, much less having any similarity to the band Korn. It was a very strange comparison.
As for music I've been listening to recently...
Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3RYvO2X0Oo)
Infected Mushroom - Saeed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cxov0BQ2fpE)
Infected Mushroom - Heavyweight (the only video with the last half which is the best part) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auAlWRDANzc)
Soundgarden - Burden In My Hand (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmIqIVxUuKs)
The Zombies - She's Not There (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5IRI4oHKNU)
The Collective Soul - December (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utYjsmDzMi0)
Alice In Chains - Heaven Beside You (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DmmLAicrQA)
Cranberries - Linger (acoustic cover I like a lot) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nir2EtmRr3Q)

That's why I said "If Korn had been a hot blonde chick hailing from (semi) Norwegian roots, in a different language, backed by only a drum (that she plays), this is it."
The only thing is the grunting reminded me of a Korn song... tongue planted firmly in cheek.
Nice choices, by the way.
Never would have guessed you're into Infected Mushroom, Rayse. Nice choice :).

Oh hey, another Silversun Pickups fan around here...
If we're turning this into a musical preferences thread... Well, the contents of my Zune have slightly unnerved certain temporary admins 'round these parts at one point or another.
Let's see what the shuffle button brings me...
John K. Samson - "When I Write My Master's Thesis (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_S5UpGx6470&ob=av2e)
LMFAO - "Sorry For Party Rocking" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ng_t5D8tVvM)
Oh Land - "Sun of a Gun" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiG2nbt04d4)
The Hives - "The Hives Meet The Norm" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gauwaj_pMCA)
Dragonette - "I Get Around" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_t56jJOcNk)
Metric - "Gimme Sympathy" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMGSpRJMnuU)
Ke$ha - "Backstabber" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrIIEYOiVx0)
Muse - "Knights of Cydonia" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_sBOsh-vyI&ob=av2n)
The Black Keys - "Sister" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kC6Rl3HXaA)
Metric - "Gimme Sympathy"
That is a really great song, but the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq3-wZs64n4&ob=av3n) always amazes me when I realize it was shot in one continuous take.
Let's see what I can dig up on YouTube to share.
Aranda - Undone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRMRosmDASU)
I'd love to link Karizmata, but YouTube all but denies their existence. I'm not a hipster, I swear!
Instead, have some Silvergun - Caution (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf4VO0MrlKA&feature=related)
Want something a little harder? Sevendust - Splinter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQts7LMT5g8)
Or maybe something slower? Forty Foot Echo - Brand New Day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZFf6bCWJ4E)
And just in case you think I'm predictable!
Earth Wind and Fire - Can't Hide Love (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wr0ekZlcM8E)
Kool and the Gang - Too Hot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBlRuGFT7Ew)
Dang... this is definitely different. \m/ I think she might just be the best female growler and grunter I've heard so far.
Pleh. Most American artists nowadays either use auto-tune or just plain crap, honestly. Especially those who are "mainstream"... >.<; And people wonder why I don't listen to the radio. XD
This, though really, your real options are basically this chick and Angela Gossow. And they're doing very different things with their voices.
I'm loving it though.
