or women really...I'd like to start up a few battles. I'd like to brainstorm some ideas for some unique battlegrounds as I find basic one on one battles pretty boring. If you're interested either reply here or get with me on AIM- jessilynngardner

Do you even need to ask Amber? Hehe. I don't recall ever fighting you either, so that makes me even more keen, especially as you've blossomed as a writer, and as a mystic. I submit Ruby, Narran, and Anke/Varg or Mordelain for your pleasure. Or whosoever, really!

Connor is up to it. As for ideas, I've always liked having a one-on-one spar in the midst of a larger battle. It's simple, versatile, and at the same time unpredictable. Other good locations are boats (especially during a storm-- Because you have to be either desperate or really unlucky to be fighting in a storm), steep grades, high-class bars/restaurants, rooftops, and any kind of landmark. I don't know anywhere specific in Althanas, but we can think of something.

Please ask any questions you have about the ROG or approvals here.

@Duffy- I think we've got one worked out! I'm excited!

@ Conner- Kyla gets seasick, so a boat would be pretty rough for her. We could do the midst of a larger battle though, that might make for a fun thread.

@ malikinam- If you have any questions--fire away, I'm sure the mods would be happy to answer. Or you could PM Letho--he's doing most of the approvals and is always super helpful.

@Amber:

Well, now there's only one thing left to decide: Everything else. Where should we have the battle? Who's in it? Should the one-on-one fight take place at the start of the battle, the middle, or when? Do we plan out the fight, or wing it?

I ask because I really have no idea.

As an aside, if you want another brawl, Connor, throw up a post and you're on ;).

Conner, it just so happens that there is a pretty large war going on at the moment, and Kyla is a general in it. So if it would be fitting for your character to be defending Corone the war would make sense. I think it would make more of an impact if the battle had already begun, give us more setting to work with if you will. If you have anything specific you'd like to accomplish we could plan it out, but most of the time I wing it in battles. Would you like me to get something started?

Well, since I'm not actually in the war, that option's shaky. I could just be a mercenary sent to go into battle and mess your day up a little.

As far as planning goes, all I want is the ability to post with a little control over pacing without worrying about powergaming. When you plan things out, it makes it easier for me to write a couple blows for you and lengthen my post, and powergaming isn't an issue. We could have a kind of revision of each others' posts before they're in the thread, too, and it'd solve the problem. Other options are simple, blow-by-blow outlines and asking permission for any use of the opponent's character. We can also go without, and just cut our posts off halfway through each blow, but it's not my favorite way of doing things.
