Kyla Orlouge enterered the small weapons shop, not taking time to read the name posted about the door. This is where Sei had promised large sales to equip the war effort. She was well equipped enough, but this would be a grand opportunity to purchase her son's first weapon. As she reached the counter she noticed the shopkeep kneeling in the corner working on something or other. She cleared her throat, "I was looking for a child's size short sword, I was told we could get something at a fair price for trying to help Corone? I need it to be made exactly like a regular sword, just smaller and lighter, perhaps something made of titanium?"

The man lifted quickly to the voice of the girl who asked for his services, banging his head hard on the head of the shelf that held his supplies. He mumbled obscene words about whores, tits, and goats, and then smiled brightly to the girl. "Sure thing, I got just the weapon!"

Kyla raised her eyebrows as the man spoke, she hadn't expected the price to be quite that good. "I'll take it. While I'm here though, I'd like to price something a bit more rare."

The woman dug in the bag at her side and pulled out a somewhat dishevaled piece of paper from the bottom. She unfolded the page and looked at the drawing, a smile showing in just the corner of her lips. "I of course understand that with a weapon of this power the discount for the war effort will not apply, but I'd like a version of this." "I'd like the handle made from talymer, the rest from titanium. I know the picture shows a nine-shot weapon, but I'd instead like mine to have only three to make it easier to carry. I also want the name 'Orlouge' engraved into the handle. I'll also need a dozen bullets to get started."

The man behind the counter looked at the parchment with a sly grin. "We do just happen to have that particular gun on sale. It's a rare piece, so I can't let it go for less than, say... 1,875 gold?" He flashed a smile, his teeth capped with gold before rolling up the paper and handing it back to the woman before him.

Kyla smiled at the price, she had expected to leave the store with a lot less. "Perfect sir, thanks!" She folded the page and placed it back into her bag before looking around the small shop while she waited for her purchases.
