Hello! I'm new, but this isn't so much an introductory thread as a plotting one. I was wondering if anyone out there has any characters whose current personal goals might weave in with Luned's. Here's her character sheet:

http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?24317-Luned-Bleddyn&p=197072

tl;dr: Luned is a scribe from Corone who is traveling to the continent for scholarly pursuits. She's easy to work into most types of plots, gets along with pretty much everyone ever, and is particularly good at causing mischief. She's currently seeking work opportunities and travel buddies, but I'm really open for anything; there are bound to be some detours.

Any ideas? Or even if nothing comes to mind, anyone have a spare character they'd like to use?

My character is a contractor. Forgeries would be useful. Or an accountant. Disappearing/invisible ink sounds very useful for secret documents. I don't have any ideas off the top of my head.

Hmm... there's definitely potential there. I'll keep it in the back of my mind, not sure how to work with it at the moment though. I think once I get to know the "world" a little better ideas will come easier.

Well, I could do a thread with you. It shouldn't be too hard to figure a reason for all of it. Perhaps they were travelling on the same horse-drawn cart (because people do that, right) and something unimaginably interesting happens. Keep in mind, though, that I have some other threads I'm getting set up for too, and I'd prefer not to overextend my writing abilities too awful much.

I just saw the crime drama thing, maybe that'd work out! Thanks for the response, but don't want to drag you into something else if you're spread thin. : )

Check out my alt:

Might be able to do something.

Hi! I'm new too -- perhaps we could find a thread that suits us both? Mine's not so good as far as education goes -- reading and writing are not her forte -- so perhaps there's something there. Zilla could always pilfer some important documents, maybe from Luned herself.

Thanks, SirArtemis! I'll let you know if I think of something to do with your alt.

Mokley, some sort of hijinks with pilfering could be lots of fun. Luned has sticky fingers herself, so there could be some fun there. I'll try to brainstorm a cohesive little plot, and let me know if you think of something, too!

Random question...

Do you have an interest in Welsh?

Bleddyn means wolf in Welsh, is all I ask.

Yes! Both Luned and Bleddyn are Welsh. I took a class based on Tolkien's linguistics work and have been into it since.

Then you and I (as a welsh man living in Wales) need to put this knowledge to good use!

And how would we do that? (I am not claiming to know Welsh by any means, I just nerd out over it regularly.)

A thread with a celtic element is a must.

I'm down for that. Not sure how to work it into Althanas, but I'm open for figuring something out. My AIM is aspirithaunts, or we could brainstorm here, or whatev'.

Did someone say Celtic Thread?

In all seriousness, I've authored my first solo story in Althanas. Now I believe I would like to move on to someone collaborative. Would you be keen on allowing a foreigner tag along? Jack, wonderfully enough, fits in almost any story quite easily.

I'm down with that but Duffy started the thread, so it's up to him. (Welcome back to Althanas, btw, Jack!)

Go for it, let the bidding war for the giant's affection begin!
