Hello all, been awhile. Last time I was here, the Corpse War still going on. So it's been a long ass time (used to play as Veatrix, if anybody remembers). And since I've been gone so long, I don't even really know what's going on anymore... Godhand died? Caden Law M.I.A.? Flames of Hyperion... is gone? What happened!? And who else is dead!

I'd love to know who's still around, who are the big players in the game right now. Big and I mean, BIG, like canon important or who've made some huge strides in the Althanas world. I've been reading up on a lot of Caden Law material, and as far as I know, he tore down Anebrilith and created Beinost. Scara Brae is forever changed with the appearance of Sijal Kar... that should be canon now, no? Oh and his apprentice Savas Tigh... where is he, and can I get in contact with him.

And Letho, what the hell have you been up to; you're on my reading list.

Sei Orlouge and his private army of Ixian Knights are attempting to unify corone for peace and prosperity. The Cult of Blessed Torture are currently trying to ascend their leader to godhood.

Uh....an elf and immortal are off to kill Oblivion, one of the forgotten big five. These two also stemmed off a source of corruption in the Red Forest.

The mystic war was a fight between the Knights of Dawn and the Ixian Knights who were led by mystics. But a huge catastrophy befell the mystic race all because of Kyla Orlouge. Though that concluded with the Knight's of dawn tapping out and joining forces with the cult of blessed torture.

Who are the Orlouges, and when did they come to power? The only Orlouge I know is Silence Sei. Is Kyla his... daughter? And who's Akiv! Seems like a family ordeal. #captainobvious

And for clarification's sake, Cassandra Remi is the demigod of the Cult of Blessed Torture, based in Corone. So they're something something, do bad stuff, rule the world, etc. and their ranks have been joined by the Knights of Dawn, because of their loss to the Ixian Knights (headed by Radasanth hero, Sei Orlouge).

And who are the other Forgotten Ones? Wasn't Xem'Zund a Forgotten One? Or was it someone even before that, someone who participated in the War of the Tap, perhaps?

And yes to the Aerith avatar... I've been locked up in journalism school for four years, hopefully that hasn't taken away from my fictional writing. Ahhhhhhhhhhh Jensen, I remember you as a Level 1 character; look at you now.

Yeah, Sei's family grew and what not. The forgotten ones i believe were Xem'Xunds peers or close minions. Fuzzy on the details. The other forgotten is Pode, and uh........Pode.....and.....Oblivion....and.....i dunno.

Cassandra Remi and her cult just attacked the Ixian Knights and is working to become a goddess. Yes. World domination, i dunno, but a series of threads between the Cult and the Ixians should be starting up soon. It's all good stuff....i think. I dunno your tastes. Lol

We had that one thread (Numbers was with us as well) that unsurprisingly also didn't get finished. :( I'm mostly writing with The Cinderella Man lately, though not nearly as much as I'd like to.

It's good to see you back. We could definitely use more active people and it's always good to see an old member return.

EDIT: Is it just me or is Althanas somewhat slow right now? Takes forever for a page to load.

Caden Law, Bloodrose, and Rayse killed Saint Denebriel, one of the Forgotten Ones. Caden Law and Bloodrose are not really active anymore.

Rayse is the de-facto go-to guy for logistics in Corone. He is able to recruit and equip entire mercenary armies and has deep ties to the Salvaran-based The Company, a crime family of super-powered individuals who are biding their time. Rayse's ability to support armies is limited only by how much he's paid, as evidenced by turning a small group of destiny-changers called Phoenix Ascendant into a powerhouse that has so far shown the greatest opposition to The Ixian Knights in their war for Corone. The best part is he does this all through proxies, with maybe only one or two people knowing how he's pulling the strings. He's Althanas' Lord of War.

It's also been theorized that due to his practice of selling to both sides in the Corone civil war (Rangers and Empire), he is perhaps the cause of the initial stalemate (THIS IS HEADCANON NOW (the canon in my head)).

Draug Su'Luc (Homunculus) is the champion of demi-god Cassandra Remi, and likely the one you see when there's terror to be spread. A general rule of thumb is that if you see Draug, you're screwed. If you see Cassandra, you're double screwed. His infamy among both the Ixians and the world at large are growing as the public face of The Cult of Blessed Torture.

Dorian Sesthal (Paragon) is one of The Generals of the Ixian Knights. He's not a big player but I might as well throw him out there. He's able to fate-craft (change the fate of items, create legendary equipment), talk to dragons, and he's a dragoon.

My headcanon for the NWO is that they split up because the personalities in it were far too large to be contained in one group. Maybe one of the original members are active (Dissinger).

Rayse, ilu. This is the detail I relish. Once/if I get my character to travel to Corone (Liquid Time notwithstanding), I'd love to somehow be a part of this Civil War mess. You should destroy Corone. That would be fun. Demolish Akashima or something, do something dramatic! I wanna see some drama in this place! Also, I remember when you registered Homunculus and I was like................... way to create a Frankenstein. But look at what he is now! Champion to a demigod. Oh how everyone has grown, it's literally shocking me.

Letho, what's A Cinderella Man up to these days? Didn't he have a daughter? Or was that Letho... And is Numbers still around? Is he still alive? Still Canadian?

And can someone point me to that Saint Denebriel shit? Sounds interesting. And show me your alts! This might also be good for real newbies, so they know who's playing what. #imnotselfish

As an added suggestion, maybe there should be a page on our wiki that compiles important events such as the death of Denebriel, and the destruction of Scara Brae. It'll make it way easier for new players to wade through the waters of what seems to be almost 12 years of lore, built completely by the players. Plus, it keeps everybody generally on the same page - so we're not killing the same queen over and over again, ya know.

Seth Dahlios is still around, and has been returned to life. Due to events during the night of Debauchery he will be in hiding from the world.

Taka is one of the nine generals of the Ixian Knights and has taken to leaving the castle on extended leave of absence to try and get stronger, not taking his duel with Cassandra Remi (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?24066-The-Night-of-Debauchery&p=196417&viewfull=1#post196417) lightly.

I still exist. I've just been adventuring in The Real World lately. The Caden Character is basically on hiatus while I finish up some stuff with Savas. And Althanas is low on my priority list right now while I grind around for a job and a place to live.

(I'm in DC if anyone wants to hang out/has a spare couch they don't mind loaning to a really awesome stranger who cooks like a boss.)
