Hey everyone. See the announcement in the News forum for more information, but basically I'm curious as to your opinions on the Wiki.

Please participate in the poll and throw up a response.

I'd say keep it, and that I'm indifferent with respect to which wiki you use. I have my census thing in a word document just in case.

Keep it, just make it consistent with the content that's elsewhere on the site and try to improve usability (if moving it to the new system would help with that, that'd be great). As a new person trying to learn about Althanas, it's difficult to find information with the current system.

(I understand that going through everything is a lot of work that requires manpower you might not have right now, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it in here!)

If vault is completely vb compatible then there's no contest in my opinion. That lowers the chance of this happening to the wiki again.

If we can contain as much information within vB and the site itself as possible, that's be great.

So when is this happening? Because I've been wanting to update my own wiki page and can't, and I'd also like to push for other wiki changes/additions/updates sometime soon.

The migration to Vault Wiki is complete. As you can see by clicking the "Wiki" tab at the top of the page, Vault Wiki is completely integrated with vB. All of the old information from Media Wiki is saved on our server, but I have to run several database inquiries to find it. Once I do, I will post the entries here for all of you to re-add (please note you'll have to change the HTML tags to BBCODE). In the meantime, feel free to add any entries you want.

Once I figure out how it works, I'll post a tutorial for the rest of you.

It is actually pretty simple to use.

1) Click Wiki link above, which will take you to a list of articles.
2) Click "Create New Article" and start writing.

Eventually, when we have a bunch of content, I will create a main page that links out like our previous Wiki did. The article list will always exist, but it'll be hidden.

Basically to make a link within the Wiki you use the Name of Article command. To create a table of contents, you simply need to create multiple headings using the HEADING command. If you only have a few headings, you can force create a table of contents by typing this: "FORCE".

Max - I seem to have lost the 'number of unread posts' at the top of the page along with the all-important 'quick switch between accounts' functionality. Given that the loss occurred in conjunction with the above, is there a link between the two?
