Anyone who has talked to me knows I'm a huge Sony fan boy. You could imagine my excitement when I heard that Playstation All Stars Battle Royale was an actual thing (http://www.youtube.com/show?p=mqFItHg3kiM). Essentially, this will be a Sony version of Smash Brothers, only better since Sony apparently isn't drawing exclusively from Sony titles. Thus far on the character roster we have....

Nathan Drake of the Uncharted Series

Sly Cooper from the Sly Cooper Series

Big Daddy of the Bioshock series

Parappa the Rapper of the Parappa series

Fat Princess of Fat Princess

Kratos of the God of War series

Cael from the Killzone series

Sweet Tooth of the Twisted Metal series

There have currently been rumors about Jak being featured (they're filming a commercial in which a 'character with goggles on his head' participates, though this doesn't necessarily mean Jak, he's probably the most likely candidate. There are also rumors that Cole McGarth (of InFamous) and Solid Snake are going to be playable characters as well.

Each stage is a combination of various playstation games. For exapmple, the Patapons are fighting Hades during the God of War stage, and the host of Buzz uses a Little Big Planet poppit on the Buzz! stage to answer question (which looks like it will be one of the most fun stages in my opionion).

As far as I know, the only way to win is to score enough points, which can only be gained by hitting an opponent with one of your level 1, 2, or 3 super moves. All of these super moves that I have seen so far look great (Sly's level 1 involves 'The Murray' delivering a devastating punch, Fat Princess' Level 2 involves riding around on a giant chicken, Sweet Tooth gets in the Transformer Version of his ice cream truck and shoots missles as his level 3). The control scheme seems to be 3 attack buttons, 1 jump button, and then one of the trigger buttons to use your super move. There also seems to be no invinicibility frames upon respawn, which is a great little feature I think.

Anyways, enough of me ranting about what will probably be my most played fighter of this year, does anyone else have opinions on this game? Any wish-lists someone has compiled and hope they'll add? Personally, I will be happy if they hadd any Portal character to the game, but preferably Chell herself. Though with the way the game is shaping up, I'll be happy with almost anyone else. *crosses fingers for Garrus*

I have high hopes for:

Crash, from Crash Bandicoot.

A final fantasy character, perhaps? Though the Erhgeiz game covered this ground, as did Dissidia.

Solid Snake, though he appears in Nintendo's Smash, is very much a PS title...

Jak - yessir! On that merit, Ratchet too.

Overall, definitely going to pick this beauty up on release! Smash Bro's is one of the best formats ever, so to have it on my own console...genius!

I doubt FF is going to see a character released, what with Dissidia being so popular. Maybe if it had bombed, we would have gotten Lightning, but I don't see a FF, if we see any Square character, it'll probably be Lara Croft.

Because from what I'm noticing most of these characters are either (a) so old that a new game is in their forseeable future or (b) they're already announced with a new game, or their newest game has come out recently.

Example: Bioshock Infinite for Big Daddy, Uncharted 3 for Drake, Sly 4 for Sly, Twisted Metal for Sweet Tooth, etc etc.

The only exception to this rule is Fat Princess, but even her game debuted when the PS3 first came out almost 10 years ago, unless you count Fistful of Cake, which I only kinda do.

So, it seems as though the two new reveals are Heihachi from the Tekken series (looking a whole lot younger than the series' latter iterations, I might add), and Toro, the Sony mascot of Japan whom some of you may be familiar with ala Street Fighter X Tekken.

While Heihaci makes a little bit of sense, Toro is a big 'meh' for me. I can understand his appeal in Japan, but he doesn't really strike me as someone I'd actually play with a lot. Kinda like how I felt about Game & Watch on Brawl.

Heihachi = Duffy is buying!
