I think pretty much everyone has something they do and/or love that they aren't exactly proud of. What's your guilty pleasure?

For me it is terrible tv shows meant for people ten years younger than me. I watch Secret Life of the American Teenager even though it is terrible, Pretty Little Liars is another. I also watch some of the silly reality shows like the Glee project and get really upset when someone I like loses!

Oh, lord. I have a very unhealthy obsession with Masterpiece Classic/BBC miniseries based on history and literature. I can watch an entire six hour series straight, without moving, until my eyes hurt and I'm thinking in an English accent. They're like crack.

I also love reading but most of what I do for school and work is boring and dry, so my personal reading selection is about 90% YA novels about princesses.

That kind of segues into my obsession with animation, including but not limited to Disney, Pixar, and Studio Ghibli. But at least, since I work in that field, I can pretend it's "research". For "work". (Sure, it is.)

I'm pretty obsessed with YA books too. I always find it funny when people I know say thier favorite book is Pride and Prejudice (which I like btw but is far from a favorite) and I have to respond with "Mine is 'The Fault in Our Stars'"

I also love BBC shows, there is just some element that American TV seems to lack, I couldn't even tell you what exactly it is, but I just enjoy non-american programing more.

I should've added comics to that list, too. Omg comics.

And yes, YA is amazing. It's hard to pick favorites, though. I've added the title you mentioned to my "to-read" list. ; )

At one point, I walked into our living room from our office to inform Amber Eyes that "Our son is watching Strawberry Shortcake..."

That would have been fine, if not for the fact that I then added, "And not even the good one they had in the 80s".

I'm actually kinda proud to watch anime, as well as read comics and YA books. Games too, are a pleasure, but not really guilty per se.

I guess my guiltiest pleasure would be the fact that I regularly watch Dance Moms, and then comment on it as if they can hear me.

I like to laugh and giggle at everything... including inappropriate things. You may imagine the inappropriate thing as anything you'd like... and I'll more than likely snicker.

Scotch. Oh wait, I'm not ashamed of that in the slightest.

Table top RPGs then. They're so nerdy it makes a (quoting someone else here) "ultimate nerd" like me cringe. But, still love em anyway.

Women and beer. ^^

I drink out of the milk carton. And the vodka bottle.

I use the copier at work for personal purposes.

I'm a grown woman who still laughs at fart noises.

I read Twilight. Then, I watched all the movies released so far in a day-long sparkle marathon. Then I got over it. (Pretty bad, though, when the writing is more frightening than the vampires.)
