"Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin is by far my favorite book series. I'm a fan of Tolkien as well, but Silmarillion is my favorite work of his. Frankly, I find the whole Lord of the Rings series a bit boring at times. Movies still kick major ass, though.

As for TV shows, I like Supernatural, up to about, I don't know, third season or something like that. When they started messing with angels and demons and all the other bullshit, it just wasn't the same anymore.

Best TV series I've watched I think was Lie To Me. I've rewatched the whole thing too.

As for books, I like the stuff by R.A. Salvatore. It had some golden moments. I also like Asimov's Foundation books. 1984 is a good classic, though I liked Animal Farm less. John Irving is good, and Dan Brown, and I like the Artemis Fowl series as well as the Harry Potter series.

I love YA books. I like pretty much anything by John Green mostly because his characters are so interesting. Its rare to see teen characters as fleshed out as his, which is also why I loved the Harry Potter series. I think my connection to a book has very little to do with the subject matter and almost everything to do with my ability to relate to the characters. Give me a main character I love and I'll read about them doing anything.

I'm also obsessed with Jodi Picoult books and love every single one except her last one, Sing you Home. She has this awesome ability to mix romance and the legal system with teaching you about different lifestyles. She does a ton of research for every single book, and thanks to her I have a pretty good understanding of whale migration patterns, amish people, epiliepsy, and tons of other things that I never would have researched without being inspired by her books. I can honestly say I've never read something of hers without having my heart broken and learning something new. :) I'm also a big crier and if a book doesn't leave me in tears at least once I probably don't love it. haha.

Hmmmmm... for TV I'd have to say either Prison Break or Burn Notice. Although i as well have gotten myself into the Clone Wars.

As for books, either the H.I.V.E. series or.the Virals series.
