To the victor goes the spoils, but before we get into that I want to thank all of you who were involved in the war! It was some really tooth and nail fights with some very well done stories and being the only judge after round 2 I can safely say the quality you all tried to put out was just amazing. You guys all worked hard and the rewards will be coming, however, before that I have some IC resolution.

The Phoenix Ascendant!

After many grueling months of war as a mercenary force for the Empire, marshaling troops and obtaining a stalemate across the Corone provinces to prevent a total global takeover by the Ixian Knights, have earned themselves the profit of gold, plunder, and of course, the rights to Boomtown Bar and Grill. While many of the Mercenaries have passed into the night never to be seen again, many have stayed, as well as draw in new recruits. (60 Reputation + Headquarters: Corone )

The Empire!

Caught off guard, wasted by Civil War before a final push to cow the Ixian Knight's, the once tyrannical Imperial Court is finding itself hard pressed to keep control of its lands. The Enemy in the Ixian Knights is one that cannot be ignored, but unfortunately, after the ploy to burn several civilians hiding in the Ixian Knights, several towns have grown to unrest, and for now, the majority of the army can do nothing about their other cities, only stand idly by and protect the Viceroys in Radasanth.

The Rangers!

Now that Gisela is in the hand of the Ixian Knights, the Rangers have no more forward base to run out of. Their fate at the current moment is unknown to the forces of Corone, but it is far to much a dreaming thought to think they will remain silent for long.

Misery Incorporated!

With the war providing plenty of Martyrs and opportunity to promote themselves, the once small force has earned itself a large grouping of followers. Pleased with this, the corporation now has enough Reputation to begin influencing the politics of Corone. (21 Reputation Earned)

The Cult of Blessed Torture!

The aims of the enigmatic cult are always hard to determine and scry, and their hand was not a light touch as many had thought. Spreading rumors of the Ixian Knight's desire to kill innocents to spur more opposition against them, as well as assassinating several key figures to silence Ixian Supporters, the largest hammer blow was to the Mental and Physical damage dealt to one of the Nine of the Ixian Knights. Coupled as well by Draug's, Cassandra's Champion's, reign of terror has boosted numbers to flock to her twisted banner and ensure the people of Corone sleep with one eye open, lest the Cult erupt and attack.

The Ixian Knights!

Defeated by the blunt attacks by the Empire and dragged into a war of attrition, Sei Orlouge found it better to bow out of the war with his men to save several casualties and prevent the innocents from being placed in anymore harm. As part of the surrender, the Ixian Knight's were forced to evacuate from several cities, except for Gisela and their castle. Though ecavuate, the devastated number of Imperial troops have essentially made Radasanth the single last stand of the Empire. Expecting political backlash they shored and prepared for their castle to be annexed and taken away, the Empire oddly let them slide. Several supporters to shut the upstart force were oddly silent, refusing to budge on the matter, while others merely disappeared. The Empire, receiving hell for their tactics in sacrificing the mercenary forces to kill several thousand innocents of Radansath, have caused their hold on Corone to slip once more. For now, Ixia Castle is at peace. Several members of the Chaplain order have been dispatched to help keep the peace. (41 Reputation - Stronghold: Ixia Castle)

The World of Althanas!

New of the end of the Civil War have hit every corner of the civilized war, and many nations are not sure what to think of the private military suddenly attacking an entire country and nearly taking it. As a result, the world has responded in many ways.

Fallien: Ever Xenophobic, the desert nomads have shut down and tightened their borders in even heavier terms. The Outlanders quarter is currently under lockdown, and no traveling papers are being offered within the lands of Fallien. The Ixian Outpost their however, is currently uncontested.

Salvar: Ever watchful for another war, the Church has adopted a no military stance on all private organizations, shutting down Mercenary groups and private military's alike. While some still exist outside the law, or in secret, the Ixian Knights military force there was asked to stand down. In the hopes of peace, the Ixian Knights in Salvar have a quarters for diplomacy only, and no more than twenty guards can be armed at any time.

Alerar: Sei's war with Corone was supported greatly by these people, and they have offered to harbor any refugees of the war in the event of backlash down the road. Sei's military garrison there is given even more support, and a swell of recruits from the elven people have bolstered the ranks.

Scara Brae: Though well known what it was that was going on, the nation of Scara Brae had no real strong feelings one way or another, content to support whoever came out on top. Publicly they have given no real attention to the events going on, and have done nothing to stop the Ixian detachment there. Since there was no clear winner, the nation merely laughs at the waste of life and resources, but of course, this is all in private behind closed doors.

The Unknown World: Other nation's may have their own opinions one way or another, but their effect on the world of Althanas is more to the private eye of the beholder. In your stories, you may have this war effect you greatly, or not at all, but the story of Althanas will go on forever.

So there we have it! Time for the spoils of war! I would like to thank all the judges who helped in Round one, as well as Revenant for helping bring these tallies up to speed. Congratulations to all!

The Awarding Spoil of War!

Imperial Marshall's Helm: A gift from the Corone Empire to the adventurer's of Phoenix Ascendant for assisting their struggles against the Ixian Knights. This helm is a heavy piece of armor forged out of the rare metal known as titanium by the Empire's finest smiths. These helms are generally only given to the highest ranking members of the Imperial Army and are enchanted to be as domineering as the people who typically wear them. Once per thread (or day if the thread lasts longer), the wearer of the Imperial Marshall's Helm can issue a command of no more than five words to a single living target, forcing them to obey. Weak willed targets (most NPCs) have no chance to resist this effect though stronger willed targets find it easier to throw the helm's magic off (higher level characters are only affected 25% of the time, equal level characters 50%, lower level characters 75%). A paranoid lot, this ability does not function against members of the Imperial Army or the rulers of the Empire and their immediate staff.
