I'm new and wondering if someone could give me the rundown on the players and groups of Salvar. I may also be interested in making another character to join your group in another kingdom if you sell me the idea.

Hello, welcome to Althanas! :) I'm BlueGhostofSeaside. . For players and groups of Salvar, I am currently in one thread within Slavar: "A Rose On The Grave" (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?24571-A-Rose-on-the-Grave-(Open)) which is an open thread. Other than that, I am role playing in Fallien and The Citadel. it's always nice to see new members (I'm fairly new myself) and I really hope you enjoy your stay here, Penance.

Thanks to the brilliance that is liquid time, you can have your character anywhere, anytime. So, you're not tied down to playing in one region with a handful of people.

Makes it easier to tell your character's story and get other writers to join your quests.

Also, everything you might need to know for Salvar can be found here, in the Wiki (http://www.althanas.com/world/showwiki.php?title=Salvar)

Welcome to Althanas!

BaBE already covered the Salvar info, but just speak up if you have any other questions. Welcome to Althanas!

Hi Penance.

Welcome to Althanas, a world of possibilities (and all that clichéd jazz).

Like many said before, just ask if you've questions. I have a character or two invested in Salvar's post-war world and recovery efforts, if you've desire to write something more down to earth and day to day than your fantastical war epic.

Enjoy your stay all the same :).

Hell yeah. I love me some post-war world and recovery effort threads.

Well, welcome to Althanas!

And as said, with the magic of liquid time, it also creates paradoxes! Kinda...

You could potentially go to any time frame and do a post-war recovery effort type thread!

In case you're confused by all these people talking about liquid time, I'll explain really quickly. Basically, so long as you only use what is approved in your profile and/or judgments since your last update, you can write whatever you want, anywhere you want, at any point in your character's story. For instance, I've got several areas of my character, Cohen's, story going at the same time, with a basic understanding in my mind of where they are chronologically. You could even write your character's final death first, and then still write more stories about his or her life from any point before that, or even ignore it completely and write as if he or she never died.

Also, welcome to Althanas, on behalf of the Judging staff. We look forward to reading your work.

Yeah. I get the gist of it. I'm used to doing roleplays in a dynamic, continuous, evolving world like Althanas. I participate in this kind of stuff exclusively on other forums.

I actually joined Althanas years back and was drawn to the power scale system and its fairness since it was based on developing your character, and your fairness, versus being rewarded a strong character because you started them off that way or you're a good writer.

Being a good writer doesn't stop you from being a cheap roleplayer that runs around with a character much stronger than everyone else and commands them to die. Trying to kill everyone you come across tends to destroy a lot of great character development for yourself and for them between your characters.
