A somewhat odd request for this transaction, whomever takes this thread, please contact me for the details.
“Ten minutes to arrival,” the voice of the coach driver called back to the passengers that were his fare. “Please begin to gather your things in preparation for arrival to Ettermire.”

William lazily opened his eyes, bringing his focus from his contemplations back to the here and now. Around him the other three passengers who had shared this journey with him busied themselves with the process of stowing the plethora of objects which had managed to splay themselves across the carrige’s interior during the eighteen hour ride that was finally nearing its completion. Handkerchiefs, bits of cheese and bread from pre-packaged meals, and even a book were all gathered, neatly wrapped, and placed back into handbags and other personal cases. Alone of the four, William remained still, having brought nothing with him to while away the long hours inside the box.

He hadn’t failed to notice the looks of interest, curiosity, and annoyance upon the others’ faces as they went about their task. Each had come together during the long trip in an attempt to break up the tedium of the journey, making introductions and small talk about who they were and their purpose in visiting the Capitol of Alerar. One was a student on break, the son of a wealthy nobleman travelling to broaden his education in worldly matters so that he could better handle his father’s affairs when it came time to take over the family business. Another was a seamstress who had struggled to make her way through the world before an inheritance had wound up in her possession, giving her the funds to finally make the change in her life that she had so long dreamt of. The last, though he had hid the true nature of his intentions behind carefully concealed walls of obfuscating words, was a Salvaran war profiteer posing as a shipping magnate. His hope was to make enough coin in the conflict between Alerar and Raiaera to be able to retire to a comfortable Coronian villa where he would never have to suffer through another Salvaric winter. Alone of the group, William had picked up on this, familiar as he was with the process of war. Not that it mattered to the Revenant. Little about this meager group had.

Though the others had made efforts to drag the silent stranger into their conversation, had tried to clear the brooding atmosphere from the corner that he did little more than occupy, William had spent the entire eighteen hour journey with his eyes closed and a frown plastered upon his visage. He was well accustomed to patience, having spent years of his life wrestling with the gruesome desires lurking just beneath the surface, and unlike the others he was not bothered by a bit of boredom and silence. Also, a private and wary person by nature, William failed to see exactly how it was that his business was anyone else’s.

Abruptly the carriage jolted to a stop amidst the bustling sound of the crowded streets of Ettermire. A bit of bustle later and William finally departed the carriage, his dark eyes following the other passengers as they collected their baggage and said their goodbyes. Alone with the coachmen William claimed the single heavy bag which was his claim. He silently accepted the burlap, along with the folded slip of paper which transferred silently from the coachman’s hand alongside it.

“Thanks for your patronage, my lord,” the coachman cheerfully announced. “And please remember us for all of your travelling needs.” Their eyes locked for an instant, a dark matter of understanding passing between them, and then he was gone.

William had business to attend to.
