Are their map compilations, a single map, anything to go off of?

I searched for Althanas, Map and a game Cyrus made came up from like six years ago ... D;

This needs to have it's own thread and be readily accessible. That's awesome.

Thank you, sir.

The staff is still working hard on overall restructuring, so I'm sure these details will get sorted out in due time.

If help is needed on a new map, my cartography skills are rather evolved. <3

There's a wiki page here: http://www.althanas.com/world/showwiki.php?title=Map+Compendium

If you want to submit your own version, you can do so right on the wiki.

*chin-strokes through interesting ideas* Hmm...

And as such, player prerogative comes to the fore.

Revisions are moderated, but by all means, contribute.

Oh, it was more of taking the compilations of the best maps and creating a singular map with some hover: over effects and fun things so that people had something interactive to zone out to instead of wasting away, playing 20 Questions in the chat room.

Not there's anything wrong with playing 20 Questions in the chat room.

In any case, I'll be starting on a polished version of the previous map I made (the one I linked you to) soon. I've been talking with a few other people about adding some interactive features (as that isn't my strong suit), so we can touche bases and work something out if you feel so inclined.

Sounds good.

This is what I've done:

The current official map is found right where it should be: in the rules. Did you read them?

Lol, Dirks. I wouldn't use the word "current" to describe that relic. :P

It might be dated, but it's official.

Obviously if someone wants to make it more visually appealing, feel free.

Technically mine would be official. I collaborated with International on it back when we were both administrators. The old map you posted can't still be official -- whole regions (such as Dheathain) are missing. (Also, many parts of the Rules section are out of date, too.) Either way, I've improved my fantasy cartography technique since then anyway, so I'll be able to make something even better.

To be technical, yours is missing Lornius and Berevar, has the elven continent angled incorrectly and has Scara Brae in the wrong place.

Not to mention, Istraloth is an archipelago, not a single island.

Christoph

It has Berevar, just not labeled. Lornius is an island, which is easy enough to add. As for the re-angling and shifts in position, TI and I worked that out specifically for various reasons, to make the overall layout more logical and appealing. Don't you remember us talking to you about it a year and a half or so ago? Lol.

Edit: Istraloth is a lagoon, as far as I was aware.

I was about to edit in that the position of Raiaera is actually correct to current canon, and makes geographical sense now. The old map of Raiaera made no sense, geologically.

Liquid Time works for Liquid Geography too, right?

*Since neither map really gets Salvar/Berevar 'right'.
