Hey everyone, black shadow's thread gave me an idea for a fun little game. Throughout the years, we've had a number of instrumental writers on the site who have moved on to bigger and brighter things. Althanas has changed quite a bit recently and I think it's a good time to invite those folks back to check things out (or possibly rejoin us if they're interested). So I've decided to make a game of it. Here's the jist:
For every oldbie that you "find" you will receive points. The contest will last one week or until all oldbies on the list have dropped by. To "find" an oldbie, they must post in this thread and indicate that you "found" them. Basically saying something to "Hey everyone, _____ found me!" is sufficient. Most of these people still have accounts on the site, but some do not. Accordingly, I will be watching IP addresses carefully for new registrations. If you get caught cheating, you automatically lose (and might get banned). I've kept in contact with many of the people on the list and can easily verify!
There are prizes, of course. 1st prize will be a coveted Althanas aesthetics package complete with a larger PM box (250!), a colored username (not white), a larger avatar & a custom user title! 2nd prize will earn you a custom user title. 3rd prize will net you 250 GP. I'll also be extending the "recruitment drive" during this time. For every oldbie you get to check in, you get an AP which can be used to buy cool stuff or be traded for EXP.
