As of now to earn a bit of GP here and there i am selling my services.

Inarm Thread Bracelets/Designs

Bracelets-As of now i am selling these and will take two Days to make the transaction to go through and for me to do the proper threading. The process is that i barely pierce your skin with a needle, going about a millimeter deep, with thread attached to the needle. The piecing is only every two inches starting at the top of your wrist, and. Ending around your elbow. It spirals up around your arm thrice, and can be multicolored. Prices listed here. It is safe for your PC and is taught against your skin as to not get caught on anything. The threads only need to be brushed with soapy water now and then to clean them.

Bracelet-Solid Color-15GP
Bracelet-Dual Color-20GP
Tri Colors are 25, and i don't do more than three.

Designs-Overall the same thing but it is a design that is made of the thread, and is chosen by you. These take four in game days to make, due tithe complexity, they are also made of self cleaning enchanted threads, which is why they cost 45GP for a three color design. I will do more for an offer.

(As of now, im just doing this so i can add a few GP to get myself a nice new staff and not have to write out a quest. I hate solos and i don't have the time for an efficient quest with anyone and Praxes is gunna be long, so i figured i would try this. So, please, everyone buy one and enjoy!!!!!!)

I'm sure Tad would be happy to dance with Brand at the Citadel, though it might not be quite what he's expecting ;)

No, NO MORE TURTLES... I wanna kill. ;)

Tad_MacLaren

On there wouldn't be turtles. But there probably wouldn't be killing either if Tad hosts the challenge lol. We'll have to see if the turtles get him invited to not come back though :)

Are you going to get it or not? Or do i have to bring you into the back room?!?

Otto

I might be interested in purchasing something, but I don't really want it sown into me. Can you offer anything else? Otto could really do with a heavy-duty rain coat, I think.

I also have a proposal for you: Otto is an armourer, and he can easily make you a decent staff. Furthermore, he can enchant it, but only with the equivalent of a level 0 character ability. Instead of paying, why don't we collaborate in a short thread and trade our services? I will double check with the Bazaar staff to see what the thread requirements would be to get such items as spoils, but I think that just a short one detailing the creation of these items should be fine. And as we're making them, we might only have to pay for the base cost of materials (but you might want to add embroidery/weaving/something like that as a skill in your next character profile).

It was meant to be a passive but i dropped my phone in a lake before i posted the edited version. (I should be posting three new profiles and offering three services in the bazaar. Mostly they will actually one profile with different traits, a split personality persay...)

And I think making a coat couldn't be too hard, as a special treat ill throw in some nice plated shoulders and a free item from the trove on The Vex once i finish writing it.

Materials

Leather, two layers
Two metal plates, procured from The Battlemaster when Brand was trapped there.
Buttons, made from scrap metal found in the heaps thrown away by blacksmiths
Needle
Thread
Cloth to make the interior of te pockets.

As of now, i shall make a quick quest namely "Shopping Trip" in Corone, where both f us may have credentials for our respective peices.

For the staff, my specifications. It does not need to be EXACTLY like this.

8'
Steel
Spiked or sharpened at the top
The height and the fact that it needs to have a grip are my only must haves, the rest is yours to toy with.

Otto

Great, I can do that. As for the coat - just a waterproof one will be fine. No need for the shoulder plates or other item, thanks :)

Any preference for an enchantment on the staff?

Mmk.

Not really, got anything that involves fire?

Otto
08-10-13, 07:46 AM
Sure, I can do fire. Keep in mind that it'll be a fairly low-powered enchantment, but you are getting it pretty cheap. From what I can see, acceptable enchantments would be the ability to conjure a small persistent flame at one end of the staff (good for light, and a controllable fire source), shoot small (say, tennis ball sized?) balls of flame over a medium distance, or spray a cone of fire for a short duration over a very short distance. Tell me which one sounds best, or if you have any ideas of your own, I might be able to use those instead.

As for Otto's item, let's make it a cloak. He already has a woolen coat. Since Otto actually leatherworking as a skill, how about he takes care of the general shaping of the outer waterproof layer, while Brand can do a decorative (and warm) lining on the inside. Perhaps he can also ink some decals on the exterior?

I'm good at inks, and i have leather. Just come by the inn once i get my Post up tonight.

Otto

Will do.

Bazaar mods, can I get a quote for a) 2 mild steel ingots, b) an 8' length of hickory, suitable for a staff, and c) a 5' long strip (thin) of soft leather?

EDIT: to save time, if you look here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?25404-Enquiry&p=207926&viewfull=1#post207926), Logan worked out the cost of a steel ingot to be 13.75 gold.

Otto

Bump.

Also, two more things.

1) As Brand doesn't actually have any gold (I'm assuming this, since that particular character has not completed a thread/been awarded any spoils yet), I'm curious as to whether the cost of the leather can be subtracted from GP awarded for the thread where we make these items (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?25711-Shopping-Trip)? Or if it could just be awarded as spoils?

2) The item Brand is making is an oilskin cloak. It will offer no protection/combat benefits, and should be relatively simple to make. Is it feasible that Brand could create such a cosmetic item, of basic quality, based on his profile (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?25655-Brand&p=210030&highlight=#post210030)? There are a few assumptions here, such as that as an 'art mage', fashion/tailoring would fall under his purview.

Krausus

The integration of the flame design along he edges is the fire elemental in Xaxan's staff. It provides nohing other than a cosmetic design on the cloak. And if you need to. Subtract gold from here.

I'm aware that the cloak is not enchanted, not least because it can't be (it would require the use of an ability that none of your characters have, unfortunately). My questions were actually directed to the Bazaar mods, since it is up to them to handle the transactions. I'm not sure, but I don't think that you can use one character's gold to purchase things for a different character, even if they are both your own alts. Hence why I am asking the Bazaar mods if the cost materials could be subtracted from 'Shopping Trip', once it has been submitted and judged.

If not, I could always fork out the gold for materials myself. We would just have to edit one of our posts so that Otto pays up front, before Brand gets the materials he needs for the cloak.

Can I please get some pricing for this?

Mordelain has been kind enough to judge the thread, and has set some conditions for the award of spoils, including a discount - here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?25711-Shopping-Trip&p=212622&viewfull=1#post212622).

From what I can make out from the pricing guidelines, the cost should approach 243.75 gold, sans enchantment, after item type ('medium polearm'), tier, quality ('above average') and additional multiply due to regional non-specialty. Obviously, this would be something you'd want to double check, and I have no idea how enchantments would be worked out, too.

For the sake. As long as its possible, ill just round it to 280. No need for some complex mod-Funtime. Also. Do we wanna make a decent quest between Otto and Brand? You can have some face smashing hammer time if you wish. And I wanna verbally slice some ***** and have a fun time going slightly insane.

These asterisks exclude a violent scene in which my typing became distasteful, and for the sake of modesty. I omitted it.

With Duffy's discount, the total would be 150 GP to enchant the cloak and 200 GP to construct and enchant the staff.

These numbers are taken from the Althanas 2.0 equations, not Metaldrago's interim fix.

Otto
09-13-13, 06:51 AM
There's no enchantment on the cloak. Brand was awarded no gold for the thread, so I'm guessing that Mordelain deducted the cost of materials from the spoils.

200 gold for the staff is fine by me, though. As I was the one who bought the materials, it should be deducted from my account (the cloak is my payment).

Thanks, Dirks!

Ah, I see. My calculation is a little off then, but consider it a gift for playing this out.

Transaction complete.
