Name: Aullos Morkotar
Race: Elven
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Hair Color: Blond
Eye Color: Sapphire
Height: 5'11.5"
Weight: 162.6 lbs

Language: Elvish, Secondary: Dwarfish, Teritary: Tradespeak

Occupation: Musician, Performance Artist

Personality: Morkotar is somewhat reserved socially, habitually avoiding mingling in large crowds despite often performing before them. He is passionate about his family and the few friends he has found, but hordes them jealously and remains loyal to a fault. He is generally mild-mannered and friendly, but hides a wealth of emotional scarring and can hold a grudge as well as anyone. Most people enjoy his presence but feel little inclination to get to know him.

Appearance: While more humanly than many of his brethren, Aullos' pointed ears, high cheekbones, long smooth hair and bright blue eyes make him an elf to any Coronian who can see past the end of their palm. He usually wears colorful, patched clothing in layers which keeps him warm and draws the eyes of passerbyes. He bears several pockmarks high on his forehead and below his chin, gained on the harrowing journey from Raiaera to Corone, but keeps them hidden with long hair and straight posture. Although he once bore a typical slender-elf form, conforming to the diet of an impoverished Coronian has caused him to gain extra mass in fat and muscle. His skin is pale and bears irregular tan lines, sun spots, and the occasional pockmark.

History: Aullos Morkotar's youngest years were relatively normal, for a middle class Raiaeran. He learned the ways of the courts almost as early as he was running through the less deadly forests and climbing the lower crags of mountains. He studied archery and fencing with little gusto, excelling at song and instrumentation. With his parents' encouragement he applied to the military hoping to reach Tel Taurir and reinvigorated his physical training, returning to several childhood passions. At the same time, the young tenor's only siblings - a pair of twins twelve years younger - were being heralded as the finest youth duet in all of Eluriand. The family's happiness met an end when Xem'zund's forces struck.

Their saving grace was Morkotar's father's connections as a highly touted scribe. Before their city was claimed, he found space for all five of them aboard a military vessel, carrying a skeleton crew and families of refugees bound for the safety of Corone. Disease and a fetid rat infestation shorted their supplies, and many of the survivors died at sea, or went mad when the wind vanished. Aullos had his nose smashed by a stark-eyed sailor, and watched his father kill the raging elf before he could reach the young twins.

Eventually they sighted land - Corone at last. They manned (or elffed?) the oars and began to row...

Skills: Catch wrestling: As a boy and teen Aullos did well in physical competitions, particularly grappling based combat events. His uncle taught him to use his long limbs in order to catch holds and locks, making the most of his leverage.

Music: Aullos can play most traditional elven instruments with some proficiency, specializing in the lute and flute. He also has a fine, some say magical tenor singing voice.

Raiaeran Heritage: Aullos has most of the skills one would expect from an elf growing up with lofty ideals and ambitious parents - this ranges from conversation, public speaking and courtship to wine tasting and horsemanship.

Bow and Foil: Morkotar is an average archer, preferring a recurving horsebow over the traditional standing longbow, and an above average fencer. Since he usually doens't carry a sword, he is habituated to using sticks or whatever else is handy to deflect attacks and strike at vital areas.

Navigating / Hunting (woodlands): Another set of skills mostly leftover from his younger years, but that he will need again soon...

Abilities: Perception x2
Agility x1.5

Song Magic: Although he does not have any specific spells, when Aullos sings (especially if accompanied by a stringed instrument) he may gain influence over some listeners. Most are effected simply by beginning to feel as if the singer were an old friend, someone trusted who they want to see succeed. Generally, the effects grow stronger the longer someone listens to his song. In combat situations, listening to Morkotar's song for 30 seconds or longer may cause an adversary to become confused about their alignment, or lose focus on magic of their own. The effects fade mere seconds after Morkotar's song is interrupted. Those with strong will power may withstand the effects.

Inventory: On his person Aullos has only a few changes of clothing, scant leftover rations, and a stout oaken belaying pin he carries as a cudgel. He also carries an ornate but practical steel belt knife, the hilt shaped like the body of a lute. In the hold of the military vessel the Caihra are what little possessions and wealth the Morkotar family could carry aboard with them, including his yew recurve bow and some oak and steel arrows, and several instruments.

Please add that people with heightened willpower can resist the Song Magic. Otherwise, you're fine.
