View Full Version : To Kill A Thayne...

You require planning, a good party dynamic, and a bit of luck...

That's right, for a while now, I've been working towards getting vengeance on the Thayne and freeing the Old Gods from their sleep...

This means, for want of a better word, that bitch Jomil has to go the way of the dodo.

It will not be easy.

I will be immensely picky.

I'm tentatively looking for a meriting partner, who gets along with Ruby and Leopold, to accompany them to the Ice Henge.

Warning, quest will involve explosions, deity defying stunts, and potential evisceration.

I want in. Surely you didn't think you could have a Thayne party and not invite their Champion?

Mordelain

I'd have assumed Sei would do everything he could to stop them destroying the Ice Henge

Of course : P

But what's a good tale without a little sabotage?

Did someone say sabotage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5rRZdiu1UE)?

Well, as discussed, I'd be up for joining this thread.

Even with my apparently piss-poor grammar. :P

Jensen lives to hunt the gods and kill them!

Im in. Old gods dont have indomitable wills, right?

Sabotage! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn3sqYJoqC0)

I'd love to be involved in the killing of a Thayne, considering the potential numbers we could almost have a battle royale...

For the time being, given the character history and the fact he's already killed Forgotten Ones and given demi-gods a run for their money, Enigmatic Immortal is definitely in.

We won't be fighting Jomil herself, merely smashing in the Ice Henge, as that's her source of power and hold over the Old Gods in Berevar.

What protects the Ice Henge, on the other hand, is more of a problem...

I may possibly ask Sei to be the antagonist; thank you to everyone for your interest, but there's no previous history between Talen and Krausus to work with - yet, at least!

Talen follows N'Jal, he has reasons to attempt to kill another Thayne, although being in a thread with Jensen and Sei would pretty epically messy....

The idea of Jensen and Sei fighting properly against one another *shivers*

I would destroy him : P

I also have no problem being the antagonist.

Krausus

Im fine with anything. Including not being accepted. As for Talen. I don't really know anything other than what I've see. Her wrote.

Sei has Jensen's number only in the same way superman has goku's. I'm just not at his level yet...yet.

Glad to be on board!

Duffy i wanna run an idea by you.

Feel free to wax lyrical here, or via PM Jensen.

I am contemplating adding Aur to the mix, now we've worked a way to make plots work if we finish our current thread.

This could prove...interesting.

The reply for that one is forthcoming.

But, if it becomes too much trouble, I don't mind taking a back-seat. Whatever works best for you, cutter.

Say what? Goku would easily kill Superman. When Goku was a child bullets were slightly painful, since then his power level increased what? 1million %? Superman can not destroy a planet, while Goku could easily. There is simply no one stronger than Goku.

Really now? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyl97TG8jbA)

Superman has -always- had the ability to destroy a planet easily. He just has reservations about using his true strength, a fault Goku typically has no problem with due to one of his (many) flaws.

Well, I learnt more than I ever knew I would about superman. There is quite a big assumption that they missed, that Goku's base strength remained unaltered prior to developing SS1. I can't exactly remember where it is said, but I am sure they reference being able to do things at a greater level that they could only before in SS mode. But then all that stuff about Superman....

Yeah, Death Battle is an excellent series for letting you find out quick backstory references to some big names in pop culture. The next one they are doing is Ivy from Soul Cal Vs Black Orchid from Killer Instinct.

I'd be game. Dirks has the requisite history with Sei and is not particularly fond of the Mystic at the moment. Moreover, he is emotionally broken and could easily be convinced to sabotage the saboteur. Also, if you pick me I'll find a way to insert the line, "Hokey religions and ancient Gods are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid." Your battle against the crab inspired me Duffy. Pick me! Pick me!

Duffy, why do you ignore me :(

Mordelain

Sorry Max, having no exposure to your character means we'd have to establish some before hand - that involves another thread ;)

Max Dirks

Which character are you using?

Mordelain

Leopold.

I would have volunteered Ceidon had it been Mordelain. How disappointing :(

Mordelain

Ceidon can help me kill Jya sometime next year ;)
