Name: Persi Zartosht, Zoroaster, Theo Hansol
Date of Birth: OLD, sometime in the M.C. era of Raiaera.
Race: Human
Hair Color: Mahogany
Eye Color: Green
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 170 lbs
*Occupation: Once hermit, now wondering magician for hire.

*Personality:
Persi is quite the talker - one to use words to his advantage when need be. Because of how much he can seem to jabber, he can come off as grating to others. Though all in all, everything he does and say has some sort of reason - typically to work in a way to read a person by judging reactions to the oddest of things.
Persi can also seem distrustful at times with how insinuating he can be with his words as well.

Appearance: Little bit'o'artwork here (http://31.media.tumblr.com/1b47ba325380fb6ff8a5521c327f50d5/tumblr_mooclphxdT1r0i969o1_1280.png)
Persi stands rather short amongst the high elves of Raiaera, and dresses in the foppish clothes of a traveler. He usually is wearing some form of cloak with the emblem of a seven-pointed star on the back as well as a clasp decorated with the same sort of star. While some may think this is an adoption of High Elven culture for Persi, it is anything but - the star being a bit of a trademark for himself and his business.
As for notable physical appearance, Persi has wildly curly reddish hued brown hair and green eyes. His face is a bit pudgy at the cheeks, and his nose is rather large, though not bulbous in a way. His body itself is lanky with not much to it for muscles or fat. For as much traveling he does the only 'toned' area of his body would be his legs.

History:

Born a son of a backwoods merchant couple in Corone, Theo Hansol would spend his youth blissful to much of the outside world. While his parents spent some time traveling in order to purchase stock and supply, the young boy would tend the shop with just himself and his dog. At the age of twelve they decided to take the boy with them on their traveling to the capital, Radasanth, where he was promptly lost amongst the crowd as the young boy took an interest to a shop stall where a magician had set up. Without knowing, Theo had been picked out of the crowd by the mage and stolen for the night, waking aboard a ship heading to Raiaera.

His first experience aboard a ship was a rather...messy one, and even these days it takes quite a bit of effort to get Persi aboard a vessel, even on settled bodies of water. Sea sickness got the best of him, and he spent much of the travel hidden in the mysterious man's quarters trying to keep food down. It was during this time he learned the man's name - Zoroaster - and what exactly he was: an aging human mage who coughed quite an amount and seemed to receive letters twice daily despite them being at sea. The man explained that Theo were to forget Corone and his parents, since he were to spend his time as an apprentice. The young boy was shocked and terrified of the man, though had nowhere to go. He was kidnapped.

To put it shortly, his apprenticeship to Zoroaster was very quickly a sham as Theo was treated as a servant instead. When they made it to Zoroaster's home outside of Anebrilith, the mage took the time to enchant Theo's memory and rename him - Persi Zartosht - claiming the boy as his own son.

Life as Zoroaster's son meant that he spent much of his time doing chores and traveling to and from Anebrilith on errands. Every month, Persi was expected to stay in the rickity hut's basement, watching at the floorboards above him as light from a tabletop illuminated numerous sets of feet above him. At times there was screaming, yelling, cursing, but each and every night seemed to end in the group's hushed whispering of spells and murmurings of the capital's dealings.

He had barely been in the man's hands for more than two seasons before he was caught below by one of the mages who frequented Zoroaster's home every month, a woman with thin eyes and a mole under one. She didn't bother to introduce herself and instead went about finding some wine in the basement for later celebrations. At first the woman scared the young boy, especially with her piercing glare, but she'd frequent the basement as the years passed, slowly seeming to ease up on the glare each time. Though the young boy never seemed to notice that the woman never seemed to change in appearance each time as time passed, looking the same age when he was thirteen to when he was a strapping lad of twenty-one.

It was then the woman finally introduced herself as Cham, and gave him something more than just a piercing glare. She handed him a set of books, told them to keep them away from Zoroaster's eyes, and then pat his head as she left. The books she gave him were a collection on magic and its uses, including a loose description of curses, spell circles, and abomination created through unholy arts such as necromancy. It was through his explorations of the books that he found a letter stuck between the pages of one - a written note explaining the plan Zoroaster had for Persi. Through the years Zoroaster had developed an idling weakness, and despite his magic he couldn't fix his body. Instead of Persi, his son, taking his place and being trained as a proper apprentice, he was to be used as the man's new body after a spell.

The man that he had thought to be his harsh father was instead a body-snatcher, and he was to be his victim. He was treading on egg shells now knowing what Zoroaster had planned for him, and terrified that it could happen at any time. After sleepless weeks, Persi stole into the man's room one night and brandished a kitchen knife to stab and kill the mage.

And then Cham showed herself again, as if expecting this reaction. She explained to him what Zoroaster was: a member of a group of blood mages that held themselves in high-esteem, The Cyrus Circle. And as he had killed Zoroaster, he would be expected to replace him, training under the other six mages, his final test to become an actual member being a spell that would result with him becoming an ageless mortal. It was all quite a bit to take in for the poor young man, but there wasn't anything else he could do beyond nod along and agree to join.

It'd be the beginning of a long life full of daring, vicious experiences.

More recently, Persi's home in Raiaera was overrun with the undead. Because of how dangerous it was to dwell in, he has decided to take up walking about as a wanderer instead of being the hermit he had resorted to being the past hundred or so years.

Skills:
Chess-master - While Persi is amazing at the game of chess, he also is amazing at reading ahead in a situation and forecasting his opponents next move. This of course, relies on how much he can study a person beforehand, or if they are readable in any way.

Agelessness - As the result of a spell, Persi has rendered his body stuck at the age he cast the spell (mid thirties, it seems!). This however does not mean he is immortal in any way - he could die of everything but old age. He still gets sick, still has the same reaction to physical wounds as other mortals, and still can die.

Blood Magic - A type of magic that works off the body parts of other people, not restricted to only blood. This type of magic requires him to write out a proper spell circle, and thus also requires the use of some sort of writing material and surface. Depending on the spell, the circle can range to being small and handheld to being large and unwieldy to the point of needing to be scrawled out in chalk on the ground or a wall. This magic also requires for the spell circle to be drawn out rather carefully, as an error can end with unwanted consequences.
Outcomes of this magic typically are creations of abominations, golems, gnosis, undead and other monstrous results. It can also be used to create good things as well - such as plants, heal wounds and even give the user agelessness. All in all, the use of blood and body parts is simply a replacement to typical energy that magicians use, but considered to be a concentrated energy that allows for more flexibility.
This magic is directly dependent on the amount of income of the spell as well. A spell that creates something powerful must have the proper sacrifice behind it to be given the energy/magic to create it! In an example, the creation of a golem requires two bodies and the material for the golem to house as a body.
Persi reserves this magic for his high paying customers, or only when necessary. It is not something he uses publicly, of course, seeing that the use of others for a spell could be seen as rather ruthless and unlawful.

Abilities:
Blood Magic:
Current blood magic spells available to Persi:
*Ichor Mine - Requires a spell circle that's about a foot in circumference and a half-quart of blood. Upon being activated, it lays in wait until it is stepped on (or any applicable pressure), in which it explodes in a tower of fire five feet tall, a foot in circumference, lingering for a total of thirty seconds.

Bardic Magic - Magic cast through the use of an instrument and singing. Persi uses Vivibelle for this, as well as his own voice. Depending on the song, it has different outcomes.
Current spells available to Persi:
*Shimmering Fields - While located in a more foresty situation (where plants already exist), Persi can awaken the plants to bloom and give off pollen that can cause suffers to fall asleep. This, of course, depends on his opponents actually breathing in the pollen, and can effect him as well. Defending against this spell is as easy as wearing a handkerchief over the face, seeing as so long as you do not inhale the pollen you won't be effected. It effects wherever both his voice and lute can be heard, though the pollen itself relies on wind to effect users.
*Chord Shot - A twang against the strings that creates a burst of air that is just sharp enough to be a blasting force of wind that also leaves the opponent possibly dazed and temporary deaf. The strength of this spell depends directly on how heavy and hard the strings of the lute are hit, though the heaviest force behind it is the force of a heavy punch. Attempting a rather heavy force could lead to the string snapping and the spell backfiring against the caster.

Equipment:
Vivibelle - Elvish Lute - A well crafted lute with elvish design, Persi is liable to never let this off his shoulder let alone in another man's hand.

Mage's Hat - The trademark pointed, wide brim hat of a mage. Persi has enchanted it to hold a number of things, though it leads to an existing place (a dresser drawer in his old home). If one were to find his hut, well, then they could certainly mess with the contents of his hat.

Monocle - Persi is rarely seen without his trademark eye wear. Why? Why not?

Familiars:
Because of Persi's type of magic, he has been left with a numerous amount of gnosis - spirits bound to objects that are capable of communication through ghostly bodies. The only one he typically has on him are a leather bound, locked journal: Matthias - a human man of noble blood who only seems to come out at night at the campfire, and pretends to still be alive, being oblivious to his own spirit form.

I'm not very fond of the vagueness of the Blood Magic. As it is described, it can produce just about anything, from additional troops to magic effects. There is no way to know how big of a circle has to be for certain effects and how long he has to work on it in order for it to work. Is it even applicable in combat? Are the effects and creations temporary or do they go away after a while? Can he work with all materials in the creation? Because I don't think people would like to fight an adamantine golem.

Also, you have one ability too many.

Lastly, the effects of the Chord Shot should be equal to a strong punch.

Sorry to sound a little confused, but what do you count as his fourth ability? The description of blood magic is entirely just for back-story/description, and in no way some of it is liable for him to be using (yet, but when it comes to it, I'd write up a proper spell/ability description for it), only the spells noted are abilities that he could use at this level. Blood magic itself is completely dependent on a spell circle, so anything he does with it needs to be prepared, etc, I wouldn't even call it something you could use actively in battle.

As for Chord shot, for the punch, would that just be applicable to the force of the attack, and he could still keep the possibility of deafening his opponent (temporarily)?

It's just that the way the Blood Magic is described, it sounded that you needed a lot of preparations for the big stuff, but could do smaller things on the fly. But if you meant it as a plot device and not something usable in a battle, then I wouldn't count it under abilities.

The sound effect in Chord Shot is fine.

I tossed it under skill instead of abilities to make it a bit clearer, since all in all it was suppose to be more of a plot device, not something he'd actively use in any kind of battle. I could write out more about its capabilities if you'd like, though, but the only stuff I'd use in a battle of any sort is what I kept in abilities. Also, edited Chord Shot for the force of the hit.
