There is Darkness inherit in everyone's heart. There is a primal need to maim and do harm, and survive off the skills you were given since birth. Yet society has made us all weakened from our true power. The laws, rules, and regulations that a person must abide by is not the nature of any species. We were born to use these urges to survive, to be ourselves and thrive in a hostile world. Yet we are shunned the opportunity, and hunted like deer in the forest. It is time it stopped! The Cult is a grouping of like minded individuals, who enjoy raping, killing, stealing, anything the social normality despises. It's a home for wayward races to be safe to be themselves without the compass of mortality judging them.
These lost children are taken care of by their Dark Mother, Cassandra Remi. A demi-Goddess on the verge of being reborn as the true Thayne of Blessed Torture. Yet she needs her children to help her ascend, and that is the primary goal. In return for her Children's love and protection, she too protects them, and once she is a goddess, the world will scream the words to the Requiem of Insanity.
