Abomination

Previous update here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?25093). I've simplified the equipment integration a bit. Updates in dark red.

Name: Draug Remi
Aliases: The Ixian Killer, The Abomination, Cassandra's Champion, The Son of The Cult
Age: Unknown
Race: Humanoid Homunculus
Hair Color: Shoulder-length, blonde
Eye Color: Black pupils, yellow iris, everything else black.
Height: 6'3
Build: 400 lbs, compressed down to a muscular build befitting someone weighing 200 lbs.

Personality: Draug's emotions are heavily diluted. Extreme joy he can only muster a grin, extreme sadness he sheds no tears. He has an extreme superiority complex and believes that everyone is below him, except for his creator Cassandra Remi. The little happiness in his life is spent doting on her, his 'mother'. He is a ruthless murderer, but derives no joy from the kill. His victims are less than ants to him, and snubbing out their lives is equivalent to stepping on a weed. He is like the nomads of the Tular Plains, who use every part of the animal they kill, but takes it to an extreme and believes that all people are just bodies and he can make better use of their organs than them, as if they're not even alive to him.

Appearance: Long blonde hair that covers one eye. Black pupils and yellow irises surrounded by darkness in his eyes. Deep rings of exhaustion hang around his eyes. He wears a long, black cloak, and his entire upper body up to his neck, including his hands, are covered with thick bandages that start bleeding when in battle. His body has become so unstable that he has to literally wrap himself up to stay together. Below the bandages are black pants and black boots. His mouth is usually slightly open, revealing traces of his carnivorous fangs. His nails are also pointed and sharp. Below his neck, every single other part of his body is not his own. The various amalgamations of body parts are stitched together all over.

History: Draug lived his life like any other. He grew up in a small town, lived with his wife and kids, and went to work every day. Then, he was kidnapped, and subjected to the tortures endured in The Cult of Blessed Torture's 'ghoul' program, which consisted of decent human beings who were forced to watch people getting tortured over and over and they were fled the flesh of the victims along with their meals. Over time they became gibbering wrecks and tossed the food in exchange for flesh. Then they were infused with demonic essences to mutate their bodies into bulky freaks.

He became a mindless monster, depraved like the rest of Cassandra Remi's minions. One night he was out for a kill, craving flesh and blood, and inadvertently saved Cassandra's youngest daughter of 12 years, Catherine. His kill of Catherine's attacker was coincidental, but Cassandra saw fit to reward him with another experimental program of horror. With ancient texts of alchemy and long-forgotten spells, what shred of humanity he had disappeared from his body, and he became a soulless being known as a homunculus. His mind returned, but it was a shell, a fabrication of a human mind. He no longer desired flesh, no longer sought out sadistic joys. All he wanted now was to please his new mother, Cassandra Remi.

His body became unstable, his very genetic material malleable and sensitive to magic and alchemy. His cells started rapidly regenerating, which gave Cassandra the idea to infect him with a new type of plague. While it would kill a normal person in hours, Draug was able to contain the disease as a host, which started mutating rapidly. As time goes on, his body becomes more like a death trap. The result, however, was that his organs would constantly start failing, and he had to replace them all the time. His emotions have become whittled down to almost nothing, his strongest feelings trapped in his mind, unable to be expressed in physical form. However, his demeanor was eerily stable. He became a killer with no remorse, but also no joy from the kill.

~Non-Physical Abilities~
Summary: His smarts! This section is small.

Recoil: Twice a day, when Draug suffers damage he can make his opponent suffer the same wound he did during a melee attack at 0.75x power. He still suffers damage, but so does his attacker. This ability uses complex alchemy that was performed on Draug's body. [Locked until next level]

True Form: The Draug you see is a more compressed form of his body. Through experiments, mutilation, and rampant cell growth, he has become even less human and while he doesn't gain any physical advantage from transforming, it does increase his size by a few feet and augment his grotesqueness. As his body grows, his skin can't keep up so the skin around his jaw rips apart, revealing all his sharp teeth. He also grows an elongated set of teeth that extends all the way to his ears. More skin sloughs off his body and reveals his muscles and bones. [Locked until next level]

~Physical Abilities~
Summary: The natural abilities of your friendly neighborhood Homunculus! These are mostly attributes that increase through the act of assimilation.

Homunculus Regeneration: Draug has a highly-advanced system of healing that heals light to moderate wounds in a minute; serious wounds, severed limbs, organ destruction and the like in 15 minutes several times in a short space of time, and anything more serious than that a couple hours; and severe body mass loss and complete loss of functional body parts in hours.

Inhuman Existence: Draug's anatomy is a mutating mess that shifts and adapts to the frequent removal and addition of body parts, thus his vital organs are often interchangeable and mutate to fill the roles of failing or destroyed organs. Therefore, he can withstand serious damage and organ failure and function for days. However, the process is not instant, and there is a small delay before he can resume his daily functions. After a few hours his strength and motion control become very limited until he can properly replenish his organ supply.

Blood Compression: Due to his body's ability to store, replace, and utilize blood to form virtually any of his body parts and functions, Draug possesses 2.5x the amount of blood of any normal human.

Homunculus Strength: Draug has 6x the strength of the average human. While normally he only has 5x, he can transcend the limitation that normal people have to not self-mutilate their bodies when they fight, so when he throws his strongest punch, it is likely to rip his arms apart, break his fists, etc.

Homunculus Speed: 2x speed of an average human.

Pain Tolerance - Innate: Draug is able to ignore the results of stimulated nociceptors. The amount of pain he feels is a fraction of that felt by average humans. (gained HERE. (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=12558&page=2))

The Disease: Draug is infected. He carries with him a plague that would kill most humans within minutes, but he is able to survive due to being inhuman. This infection takes its toll on his organs, forcing him to constantly find replacements. Due his his malleable body, he is able to rip his replacements out of the bodies of his victims and then stick them into his own. If Draug's blood (or any dislodged part of him) splashes/makes contact with someone's body, they will start to experience symptoms of the plague within minutes (coughing, headaches, nausea, weakness, and eventually delirium) until they remove the blood or any other part of Draug they get on them for a long period of time. The plague however is too unstable to stick around for more than a few days, and is currently non-fatal. The exceptions are The Cult of The Blessed Torture and anyone else Cassandra Remi gave the cure to, who are immunized against the disease.

Body Manipulation: Draug can augment his body to create extra limbs, self-mutilation, stretch his neck or any part of his body, or otherwise manipulate his body in almost any way. This process is as fast as he can move. His manipulations consist of human features such as arms as legs, as well as tentacles and other animal-esque features. He cannot turn his body parts into blades unless that specific part has a blade integrated into it. Each body part consumes 0.1x blood. (This is an upgraded version of the skill received HERE. (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=16043&page=2))

Weapon/Armor Integration: Draug is able to absorb equipment into his body and compress it so it's unnoticeable in a specific place. Helmets integrate into head, chest armor integrates into chest. Armor that is integrated lies just under his outer layer of skin, offering that second layer of skin the same quality of protection as wearing that piece of armor. Weapons that are integrated do not offer any protection, but they can be forcefully (and bloodily) expunged to produce a projectile effect, or softly (still bloody) ripped out to use as a weapon. He can integrate 3 pieces of equipment of mythril quality, and an unlimited amount at steel quality. He still has to buy/acquire them in order to integrate them. Oh, and if you manage to stab through his skin to reach the armored skin, it's the same sound as actually hitting real armor.
----------CURRENT LIST OF WEAPONS AND ARMOR INTEGRATED-----
WEAPONS--
Arm - Two steel swords. One enchanted mythril kunai that magically produces ice burns on contact. (Obtained HERE. (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?24351-A-quick-little-somethin))

Wrist - Two iron daggers.
Shoulder Blades - Two iron daggers.

ARMOR--
Head - As hard as iron.
Hands - As hard as iron.
Chest - As hard as steel chain mail.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Assimilation: Started through the physical contact of The Homunculus with a target of his choosing. When a Homunculus wants to assimilate, its body becomes like a metaphorical sponge and accepts various types of genetic data: ranging from skin or hair contact. If there are multiple targets, and they all touch Draug simultaneously, it is random which genetic data is accepted, but only one can be accepted in the end. This process causes Draug to accumulate bits and pieces of his target's memory, including memories that may be buried so deep that even the target has forgotten them. If they have any interesting abilities, Draug can make use of much lower level versions of them in a limited fashion for three posts. He can not be under the influence of more than one assimilation at a time and can't use more than two assimilations in the same day. This has never required the permission of the other person, so if someone would like to claim that it does, do so in this update thread.

Minions: Twice a day, Draug can summon two dog-like creatures made of pure muscle with featureless heads except for ear holes, noses, and jaws with two layers of sharp teeth in their jaw, which span the entire length of their head. Their saliva is acidic and they can bite through iron.

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

Equipment: Black boots, black cotton pants with a thick belt, black cloak. His clothes are a part of him and can be regenerated in the same manner as his flesh.

The Egg - Having swallowed a magical egg, Draug can now heal three moderate wounds or one fatal round per battle or 24 hours. (LCC Prize)

Yo, welcome to Level 5.

First things first, I need you to cut down on the number of abilities you have, there are too many for this level. I'd suggest True Form, the Minions and the speed. The minion ability is very strong and it drags up your character's strength quite a bit.

Homunculus Regeneration: Draug has a highly-advanced system of healing that heals light to moderate wounds in a minute; serious wounds, severed limbs, organ destruction and the like in 15 minutes and anything more serious than that a couple hours; and severe body mass loss and complete loss of functional body parts in hours.

I don't mind the speed, but I need some sort of limit to how much he can heal himself. Something like:

Assimilation: Started through the physical contact of The Homunculus with a target of his choosing. When a Homunculus wants to assimilate, its body becomes like a metaphorical sponge and accepts various types of genetic data: ranging from skin contact, hair contact, and even clothing and equipment contact currently used by the target. If there are multiple targets, and they all touch Draug simultaneously, it is random which genetic data is accepted, but only one can be accepted in the end. Can you limit this slightly, requiring contact with skin/hair.

You also don't have to mention it in the skill, but some PCs might have specific skills that would counteract this, so just be aware. I'm fine with leaving it broad in terms of 'much lower level', again just be wary.

I don't understand, those are the only ones I added. I also didn't know modifying attributes counted as an ability. True Form is a purely cosmetic ability, if anything it's already covered under Body Manipulation.

Changing shape, is counted as an ability (i found that out myself last update). True form also increases the effectiveness of some of his other abilities, gives him sharper teeth and has his body weight condensed.

As for the number of skills, the amount is set at each level. I'll take your point about the overlap of true form and body manipulation,so if you remove minions and speed you'll be good to go.

Really this whole update was to add some scary minions to Draug. Can I just drop the speed and consolidate Life or Limb into Body Manipulation? Seems like once again there's overlap there. Or I can just remove it.

Overall you need to cut down three abilities. Because the minion ability is considered very strong, you could remove that and one more.

Otherwise Life or Limb, speed and recoil would do it.

I removed Life or Limb, put True Form and Speed on lock until next level, so basically I'm adding one ability and removing another, for a net gain of 0 abilities. Am I good now?

That'll do it. I look forward to clashing with you in the Anita Chamber!
