Leona Stevvains
10-13-13, 10:37 PM
Name: Leona Stevvains
Height: 5’6’’
Weight: 180 lbs lbs
Build: average
Age: 25
Race: Human Being (Earth)
Hair Color: Dirty Blonde, fixed into a tight ponytail.
Eye Color: Brown

Appearance: Leona Stevvains stands tall for her short height, a soccer ball tucked meticulously under her arm. Her soccer uniform has become tattered after years of experience on Althanas, but is still the pros go-to garbs for fighting. There are tears in both of her goalie gloves now, and exposure to the sun has caused Leona’s face to become speckled with freckles. Her teeth are a shiny white, almost blindingly so, and her voice has become a little gruffy, a slight horseness to her usual soft tone.

Personality: Leona’s time away training with the witches of Berevar have hardened her. She has now spent many years on Althanas, learned the layout of the planets lands, and has come to accept that here, the impossible is possible. She still remains friendly to people, though she is a little less trustworthy due to becoming jaded by the witches. She also tries to

History: Leona Stevvains was a star futbol player, expert goalie and future Olympic Gold Medalist. She had it all; a good family, a future career, and friends she could turn to in the worst of times. However, this all change with an epic plane crash in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle that left her and her sisters separated. Leona blacked out during the events, and when she woke, she found herself on the shores of Fallien.

Her goal at that point had been simple; find her team mates and return home. However, like most things on Althanas, nothing was ever as easy as it seemed. Leona spent years looking for her sisters, entering tournaments, searching the citadel and even going on quests all in the name of finding those that she loved. When she came up with nothing, she began to resort to the drink, finding herself in a deep depression, though earning quite the name for herself in the process. Leona Stevvains had become a drunk.

On one particular bender, Leona heard the stories of the Berevar Witches, who could see the location of anyone and any thing. No dimension was off limits to these powerful sorceresses. After finding where they resided, Leona took a journey to Berevar, and eventually found the mages. They agreed to help her locate her team mates, but under one condition. Leona would have to become the tribute for ‘The Gift’, a powerful ability that shattered the minds of those who could not handle it. Leona, drunk and not caring what happened to her mind, agreed. The ritual took three days, and Leona was bestowed with ‘The Gift’.

‘The Gift’ however, had choosen the soccer player to be its avatar. This meant that Leona Stevvains could see futures. Not just –the- future; ALL the futures. Even the ‘Butterfly Effects’ that threw most precognitives out of whack were still in Leona’s vision. She could see every possibility, what every minor decision wound up causing. She knew things.

Unfortunately, this also meant that she could see her own future timeline. In each and every possible future that saw the young woman finding her team mates, the friends were soon found upon deaths doorstep. There was no way for Leona to contact her girlfriends without killing them, unintentional as it may have been. This brought Leona to the comfort of the bottle once more, even harder than before.

It has now been six months since the girl had quit drinking, a small little chip is kept in her pocket to symbolize the step. She had a mage create it specifically for such an achievement. Now, Leona Stevvains has dedicated her life to using ‘The Gift’ to make sure the world of Althanas stays a happy and safe place.

Abilities:

Heightened Speed: Leona can move 1.5 x faster than a normal Althanian.

“The Gift” – Leona can see the future just as clearly as you can see the words in front of your face. She sees the outcome of everything, all the time. Whereas most precogs can only see one straight future, Leona can see the ‘main’ future (The one as is she did not interfere with fate), as well as what she has deemed ‘The Butterfly Futures’ (These are futures where Leona does something she wasn’t supposed to do, and as such alters the time line). Such a gift is taxing on the young lady’s person, however. It’s as if she is constantly watching –all- the movies at once. Due to this, Leona’s once finely honed reflexes are gone, and she suffers three times under the normal Althanian’s reflex time.

Strength – Leona has double the strength of a normal Althanian.

Drunk Style – If Leona gets drunk, her reflexes return to normal, but ‘The Gift’ disappears.

Inventory:

Six Month Chip – Just a chip made for achieving six months of sobriety.

Soccer Ball – Leona’s weapon of choice. Combined with her strength, this futbol becomes a deadly weapon with just one powerful kick from the girl. The strength of the ball is equivalent to steel.

Welcome back! There's just a few changes I'll request to bring this in line with the new RoG system.

Please reduce either her strength or speed stat to 1.5x that of a normal Althanian. Under the present definition of "The Gift" it seems like Leona could use the ability to predict all or most attacks on her, but due to her slow reflexes she is unlikely to be able to fully avoid them, if at all. That's fine, I just wanted to make sure I understand it properly. If I got something wrong about "The Gift", please edit that ability to make it a little more clear how it serves her in combat. Oh, and if the soccer ball will be used as a weapon, you should specify what it's made of.

Other than that, this looks great. Drunk style ftw!

You have it right Breaker. 'The Gift' allows her to see what will happen in combat at all times, but because she has to take so long to process which counter to make from it, it will usually be too late to do anything and she'll take the hit. Speed was lowered to 1.5 and the ball is on par with steel now.

Looks good, thanks for your co-operation! Leona and Jake need to end up in a drunken soccer brawl somehow. He would have some interesting counters.

Approved.
