It has come to my attention that Kyla is a level 8 weenie. So I'm finally attempting to bring her up to level. Updates in blue

Age: 25

Race: Mystic

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Blue

Height: 5feet 6inches

Weight: 155 pounds 310 with necklace.


Personality and history: Kyla is both incredibly complicated and incredibly simple at the same time. (Just like a woman huh?) She’s usually wrapped up in some silly drama or another and tends to get herself into trouble. She’s a lover and a fighter, a best friend and a fearsome enemy. Most of all, she’s just a young woman hoping that one day all her dreams will come true.

History: Kyla's younger years where a mess. Her time was spent following a group of bandits from place to place and watching the world around her burn. During her teen years she discovered that she was in fact the child of Niche Orlouge, eldest of the Orlouge brothers. She was taken in by her uncle Sei who did his best to train her to be a great warrior for Radasanth. Kyla is many things, but she is certainly not predictable. Her inability to take life seriously and follow orders had led her to many a bad situation. Kyla gave up all memories of her former life in an attempt to start anew, but so far has simply followed in her own footsteps.


Abilities:

Mystic Protection- A birth rite spell for all mystics. If it is cast, any attack will cause a glass shield to surround Kyla and Explode outward. This spell may only be used three times per battle. Furthermore, Kyla has recently discovered the 'True Nature' of her Mystic Protection that most Mystics discover around her age. Now, when the glass shield explodes outwards, the glass shards are set ablaze with fire.

Shadow magic- Kyla can use her shadow magic to create any weapon she can envision. She cannot create automatic weapons like guns or explosives. If she creates a throwing weapon it will disappear when it comes into contact with the ground. The weapons she creates are the strength of titanium. Kyla can create up to two weapons at any given time.

Shadow Magic Technique: Shadow Step - Kyla is able to meld into any shadow and step out of the shadows into any place she chooses. Kyla can carry people with her. In battle, this effect can be used 3 times per thread.

Levitation- Kyla can lift items up to twice her size with her mind. She cannot move anything that is in another person’s possession. She cannot move another player without their permission.

Light Magic- Kyla can create a lightning bolt to attack a foe. The bolt holds the same power as that of a live electrical wire, but the lightning will shoot through the person attacked. Thus, very weak characters might suffer nerve damage or even organ failure, but stronger characters might just receive minor burns. This effect can be used 5 times per battle.

Light Magic Technique: Firework - Kyla can create a bright 'firework' of sorts, that will temporarily blind any enemy who sees it. The blinding lasts for about a minute. This can be used 2 times per thread.

Mystic Bomb: Kyla combines her light magic and shadow magic together (In the Mystic world, a big no-no) to create an orb of energy, this orb of contradictions causes a large explosion, covering roughly twenty feet around. The bomb is powerful enough to break bones if another person is within its range.

Shadow Soul: Kyla’s shadow can now take a life of its own. She is able to send her shadow to do her bidding. While it cannot directly affect another player, it instead drains them as it attacks their own shadow. This attack drains 25% of their current stamina after three posts. The shadow can be sent off once per thread, it lasts for 3 posts. This effect is only effective if Kyla's shadow successfully strikes the shadow of the other player. By moving their own body another player can use their shadow to fight off this attack. Kyla does not receive this stamina.

Shadow Swap: Kyla can steal a shadow from someone and attach it to another. This allows the second person to mimic the abilities of the original owner of the shadow. This effects 2 abilities. The original owner will have the option of choosing the abilities stolen. While the swap is in place the original owner cannot use these abilities. This lasts for 2 post not including the one it is summoned in.

Healing light: When in direct sunlight Kyla’s light magic becomes more powerful. She is able to heal minor wounds on herself and others.[/COLOR="#0000FF"]

Kyla possesses 6 times the strength of a normal Althanian.


Kyla possesses 4 times the speed of a normal Althanian.


Items:

The Limiter Necklace: A necklace made of two silver clasps, N'Jalian spider silk, and a single small diamond in the middle. When Kyla wears this necklace, it doubles her natural weight. Due to training with Ciato, she has learned to wear this and go about her every day activities normally. When she takes the necklace off, however, Kyla receives double strength and speed for three posts. After that, she becomes extremely tired and weary until she can put the necklace back on.

Steel dagger used mainly for hunting

Sophia’s Mane- The Mane is a zodiac Weapon. It is a glove that reaches Kyla’s elbow. When Kyla tenses her hand the glove sprouts three small blades. The glove is able to take the soul of any enemy it mortally wounds. (This is only used with permission from the other character obviously)

Magic balancing Anklet- Removal of this anklet would cause Kyla to die in a matter of minutes. It controls the magics within her body. If removed Kyla’s body will explode with the blasts effecting an area of thirty feet.

Harmonica Pistol- Bought for her son, Akiv, this pistol can hold 6 bullets which can be shot in quick succession.



I realize this is a lot of updates, but I sat down with Sei and figured out how many abilities and what levels I should be at with my current level and realize I was seriously underplaying Kyla. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to level 8. I'll be your guide.

I just need some clarification about some skills:

Shadow magic - How strong are these weapons?

Shadow Magic Technique: Shadow Step - Can we limit the amount of times she can do this? 3 would be the normal amount.

Light Magic - How much damage does the bolt do?

Levitation - I assume you can't do people?

Mystic Bomb - When you say large explosion, what do you mean? Taking out a brick wall? Blowing up a house? Because of the radius I'd suggest strong enough to break bones, or you can make it stronger.

Shadow Soul - How much does it drain them after three posts? Does the shadow materialise or is still a shadow? Does it get dispelled if there is light?

Shadow Swap - I'll need you to limit the number of abilities that are mimicked (happy for it to be an ability(ies) of their choice). A character that suddenly gets six new abilities and boosts to strength and speed is a bit of an overkill. I'd also like someway for this to be dodged or resisted by the target character, it could be that she needs to hit their shadow with a string made of shadow and wrench it off or some such. Instantly docking one of their skills by 50% and giving it to someone else (or kyla) doesn't sit right.

Staying to the shadows - This is a bit too strong. It could be that she draws in the shadows and doubles a single shadow ability once per thread for one post. Boost abilities are considered quite strong.

The Limiter Necklace - Just to check, is the 155 pounds in her description her doubled weight? Or is she normally 310?

For Mystic Bomb and Shadow Soul they can be stronger or weaker, I won't know how much room you have to play with until I get my head around the other abilities :)

Okay. I adjusted her weight to explain what the necklace does. I also removed the defense boost it offered. I specified that the weapons are the strength of titanium. She is able to shadow step 3 times (though if I end up being able to upgrade this I'd like to. I also stated that this applies to battles, not quests because it would be very inconvenient in a quest setting. If this is a problem please let me know.)

I clarified a bit on mystic bomb, shadow soul, and shadow swap. Staying to the shadows is removed. I think that is everything. I really am not sure at this point though!

Oh, I also clarified on Levitation that she cannot move people without their permission.

Mystic Protection - I'm pretty sure that this can block most attacks, does this include things like a bullet? Assuming she has time to cast it.

With the Limiter Necklace, when she takes it off is her strength equivalent to 12x a normal person?

I went back and specified that she can make two at a time. If I need to change this to only for herself I will, but I like the idea of her being able to hand it off in a pinch. If this isn't okay I will make the change.

Yes, I've always played it that it can stop any attack. With that said, if someone were to shoot two bullets with a few seconds in between, she would have no defense against the second one, and no time to cast. It is only good for one hit, not one attack.

Yes? That's where it is now, but I will change this if needed.

Sorry for the delay. Adding up all your abilities, you are one over the limit. Are you able to remove one? It can be one of the weaker ones such as Firework or the flames on mystic protection.

I'm happy for you to reasonably RP the telekinetic ability, but can I get a number of times you use the Lightning Bolt and Firework?

I removed the fire element of the MP, as its only real purpose was to limit the bloodiness of the attack. It was more for story purposes earlier than anything else. I put the lightning at 5 and the firework at 2. If those are too high let me know. Thanks for your patience, I know this is a pretty complicated update.
