{MID-LEVEL UPDATE} This thread is just of me adding a new ability for Ashla. I was very careful not to make it too powerful concerning "real-world" combat and I hope this works... Updates in red.

Name: Ashla Rose Icebreaker
Age: 17
Race: Human / Elf hybrid
Hair Color: Black with brown highlights.
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 110 lbs

Personality: She doesn't think much of herself except for looking nice and keeping on top of her survival game. Ashla can easily be annoyed and pushed to a bad mood, but that doesn't mean she’s a grumpy person. In fact, she is at the most, very nice and trying her best to help people. She knows how much it hurts to be betrayed, back-stabbed, used as a pawn- she tries her best to lead an example opposite of that, she tries her hardest to be a trustworthy, giving person. She has traveled around Althanas in attempts to find a place to call home, and has so far failed to find it. She is very persistent though, and does not give up easily. Ashla has grown to have gained a will power that matches her attitude; no matter what she will never give up - of least not without a fight…

Appearance: Black hair with brown highlights that reaches down to her waist; ever so slightly curled. Bright blue eyes. In fit shape.

History: Her mother died during child birth of her, and her father died when she was four years old. Up until she was fourteen, she lived with her uncle until a rogue band of orcs attacked and killed her uncle. Enraged and heartbroken by witnessing this entire scene, Ashla grabbed her uncle’s blades and slew the orcs with them. Afterwards, she had traveled Althanas in search of a place to call home. In about a year of traveling, she came across two bandits who close to tortured her for money. She had been able to kill them in her self-defense and soon found out it might have been a mistake… the two bandits had been part of an entire group of robbers. Around the same time she met a young man named Julius and befriended him. Only a week after their time together did Ashla realize that Julius was also a member of the robber group and he turned her in to them as revenge for their lost team members she had killed. Ashla escaped without any external wounds- but still left with another kind of deep wound within. Ashla also, soon enough, came into contact with a secretive race called Morpholians and learned their language Akdeneth from Eshwyn –a Morpholian girl-. The Morpholians didn’t like being discovered so they threw her away from their home, almost killing her, and sent Eshwyn into exile. Ashla had gone on many other adventures since, including a couple Citadel fights; an encounter with an exiled prince, Black Shadow; and a visit to a fairy’s home.

Skills: Agility: She is triple as agile as a normal human.
Exceptional swordsmanship.
Hunting and cooking – she self-taught herself to in the last three years in order to survive. Her cooking isn’t a gift though- the only “proper” meal she can make is a basic roast, which even so takes an extremely long time to do. Self-trained at unarmed combat. Not exceptional, but still not that bad at it.

Abilities: Ice powers:
She can freeze small objects when she touches them (If a human, only the part of the body if she can hold it for about two seconds or more, numbing it for an averagely short time (A single post))

Her eyes look like ice when she's angry.

She can freeze and unfreeze herself (as a defense, this can block her from 4 moderately strong hits, or one really strong one –if she blocks against a strong hit, she can only use this power once, and against a weaker hit.) This goes per thread.

Ashla is able to visit her ancestors semi-cautiously in her head. In this universe of souls she visits, she carries all of her physical traits as she is still alive, and visits in her flesh and blood. Her family’s souls’ resting places are unique to the Icebreaker family, and they make sure that despite her half-breed heritage, that she is given respect for her strong will. While she visits, her uncle and father teach her another ability called…
The Icebreaker Blade is a very unique Icebreaker weapon that can be summoned at will for any Icebreaker who has learned the ability and is strong enough to wield the family’s weapon of honor. Even though Ashla practices whenever she can with her undead family, she is barely able to even summon the blade just yet. At the most, a stick made of ice- and barely as large- will appear and melt almost immediately. Ashla can, however, summon the blade completely when she is in her semi-_ universe with her family and is learning how to use the weapon. The sword is about the size of a huge long-sword and requires two hands to wield properly. The blade is shaped like a broad sword at the bottom but is very pointed and shard at the top, so it can be used for both slicing and jabbing.

Equipment: Belt with pockets for odds and ends (including food and a needle with thread) And sheaths for her light-weight long sword and long knife. Outfit: medium sleeved, brown undershirt, with a dark, sleeveless blue blouse on top of it. She has brown leggings under it. She has a very short, light blue skirt she wears over her leggings. She wears a necklace passed down from her mother's side of the family. It is dark blue with a rose engraved into it. A cloak bought from the Bazaar.

Weapons: Steel, light-weight long-sword (originally her uncle’s) – Steel, long knife (originally her uncle’s) – dagger with rose engraved on it bought from the Bazaar.

Familiar(s): A tabby cat: he is orange with dark yellow stripes. He had white down his neck, across his entire belly, to his tail, as well as his paws. White stripes around his tail His name is Fireleaf. Fireleaf has learned an independent ability to hiss out steam. The steam works at the same level that Ashla’s freeze/ numb ability did at level zero ddid. Except that the steam burns instead of freezes small objects when hissed upon. The steam can give a person the effects of briefly being burned, but not for a long time and without much damage. Still though, this power causes discomfort.

Hey, do you have a link to the thread where that ability was earned?

That thread would be a future thread (it follows "Welcome to the Masquerade")
She is able to get this ability in a close to death sequence (Spoiler alert: she is thrown out of a tower) that snaps her into unconscious and allows her to enter that semi-conscious state where she can see her ancestors.
... Yeah, every thing for Welcome to the Masquerade and the next two threads coming along are already planned out, all I have to do it actually write the rest of the story down xD

At the moment you can't add it to your character in a mid-level update until you've earned it in a thread. That shouldn't stop you attempting to use it as you've described in this update in those planned threads, but it won't get added unless its an approved spoil or you go up a level.

Okay, thanks for letting me know. When the time comes and I've finished the next threads, I'll post this again! B)

No worries. I'll lock this as unapproved.
