Landain is a tall slender elf, strong in nature, with long flowing greenish gray hair and greenish blue eyes. His pale skin almost appears white in certain light. Landain's elven crafted armor was designed and crafted by some of the finest artisans in Serenti. Heryk spared no expense. All of this was crafted with the finest Elven blends of Mithril and steel enchanted by local mages.
History: Landain was born into a ship building family near Serenti, Tylmerande, Corone. His father, Haryk owns a profitable shipbuilding company known as Agrivar Shipping Company (ASC). Maybe you've heard of it? This isn't the largest Shipwright in tylmerande, but the company holds its own on the seas, creating a comfortable living for the Agrivar family. The family estate is palatial including servants, a horse barn, carriage barn and three hundred acres of both undeveloped land and parcels used by share croppers for farming. Haryk Agrivar receives compensation generated from his crops at market.
Landain has two older brothers, Nylian and Jonas. He has a younger sister, Nuala and a younger brother, Dakath. Landain had a pleasant upbringing with all the amenities a young elf could hope for living in Corone. His father, a veteran of the Civil War insured his children were prepared to defend themselves, if necessary. They were all trained from an early age in the martial arts. Nylian, the oldest brother has been groomed since birth to inherit the company. Jonas has received a similar education as Nylian in preparation to assist his brother with Agrivar Shipping Company (ASC).
Landain on the other hand met with a different calling. He excelled at the swordplay and even took to riding at the tender age of six. It was as though, he was naturally bred to ride and fight while mounted. The smile on his face, when racing across the fields on an energetic destrier was electrifying.
Landain was parceled out to a local noble as a Page. Upon reaching his twelfth birthday, he was appointed a squire and at age 19 he was knighted as a member of the Ixian Knights. His father, paid for all of Landain's armor, weapons and his mount. His father also provides him with a stipend to ensure he does not go without.
As a Page and Squire, Landain was trained in the use of several weapons including how to handle the longsword, a rapier, a lance, a mace, a saber, a dagger, compound bow and crossbow. He trained to fight both on foot and from the saddle. He excelled in this training. His training included the more humanitarian pursuits as well as the art of speaking. The function of speaking with humility was one he succeeded at only when speaking with someone of a higher station. His perceptions of those of lower stations in life, are lost in his arrogance.
Landain's mother insisted that he learn a musical instrument. He has been learning to play the violin since he was five years old. He has given private performances for the noble families of Corone. His work is appreciated all over the Island nation.
While training and following his master, he observed the tactical art of maneuver. He observed how archers were deployed in relationship to footmen and cavalry. How the various types of unit formations whether they be footmen, polearms, archers or cavalry served a variety of purposes. He questioned his master on these topics and has taken up studying the art of maneuver or tactics on the modern battlefield. This is a subject he is excited about and learning more as each day passes. He considers himself a tactical genius, although his understanding is more at a novice level. Fortunately, he possesses the common sense to keep his mouth closed and to pay attention to what Knights more senior to him have to say.
