View Full Version : Where the Heck Am I?? (OPEN!!!)
The Muri

OOC: Open thread! Jump right in!! And this takes place a only a little times after Muri has been reported to Althanas through a black hole... Like five or ten minutes.
Where the heck am I?? Muri asked herself as she stepped into the building. She looked around the odd place. There were men and women or many species she had never seen before. Some had been in legends she had heard of as a child, elves, and dwarves, and even humans! Where they real? What was this place? Given the round wooden tables were corralled with drinks of rich beer and wine which she somehow recognized, and some meals here and there. Some people were lying on the ground as if they were dead, other were clearly drunk. So a "tavern" must mean a "bar". I get it...
She looked around from a recently unoccupied corner of the dark room; this weird place was so foreign and preposterous. What do I do now? Home has been-...
"You find out what you can do in this new world and explore it from there." Said a familiar voice.
I don't know about this, 1756... I just... Muri sighed, the only person she even would be able to recognize around her was her surf, labelled 1756. She anxiously looked around, out of all the places her first mission could have wound her up in, it had to be in this unreal world she knew nothing about.

Cyrus was perched behind a statue of a angel inside the tavern that was up a good 30 feet or so. He peaked his head around the corner and kept his eyes locked on the girl, there was just something about her that made him...
His foot moved and a small pebble fell to the ground "Hello?" The girl turned her head to face the statue, Cyrus moved quickly and hid behind it "Who's there?" She said a little bit louder "Where am I?" Cyrus just continued to remain quiet, after a while the girl started to explore the place and was getting farther out of Cyrus's reach. He reached for his bow and loaded an arrow into it, he took a deep breath and locked his vision once again on the curious little thing walking around. He pulled the bow back and then released it, It his 3 centimeters above her head, Cyrus cursed under his breath and couldn't believe that as good of a archer he was that he missed her...
"Who's here?" Muri yelled as she saw the bow right about her head. Cyrus acted fast, there was no point in trying to hide now that he missed, He jumped off the statue and made a run for the door but it was locked. Muri ran towards Cyrus but he pushed her out of his was "Wait!" She yelled "I just want to know where I am," Cyrus just kept on running till he got to a dead end....

I'll serve as a welcoming committie, care to break this guy out of jail?
In the Old Rickham Prison, inhe town known as, of course, Rickham, better known as the Peaceful Promenade, place of Vacations, Fighting, and many other things upon those accourds. This jail, in it's deepest cell, laid a man, with pure shocks of hair, that rivaled many a man, ith a fuzz of a moustache, and a quickly grayingponytail, Jarrod suffered under a very strange spell, one that afflicts this cell only. Upon the thick oak door, which is banded with steel, is inscribed a message, stained in black, which reads, in spiraling and jumping script.
"For those who enter, youth ahead, will grey and wither with time in place, yet the old along, wise and good, will be reduced to they prime. So beware any soul, who dare enter here, for your wise, or arrogant soul, will only be -Text is scratched off, unreadable-from here on-"
----
Jarrod sighed, his hands startingto shake from th effort of digging out the mortar from the brics, which hurt in general. when a rap sounded on the door, he stood to attention and replacced the grate, as the door opened to the "Magistrate", known to be the man who thrust him in here, and so, damn him. with a motion, two guards game in and gestured to a coat they held, which was emblazoned with various runes some of which he recognisedfrom his studies of the interplanetray rune guide, before the warp drive failed, and he crashed here, not far from the town. With a sigh, he shrugged the jacket on, and as soon as it was zipped, the runes flared to life, as it tightened and stiffened, and expanded as well, encasing his legs in a solid mass of black.
"Wha-?!" He shouted, as a hood was placed over his head, a sweet smelling scent filled his nose, and he slowly drifted into the black, dreamless void.
When he awoke, his eyes flickered open to find a strange stone cieling above him, and he was still unble to move anything, even his cries were muffled by the tight steel mask which ha beens seemingly locked on to his head, and as he lifted his head up, he saw he was handing, suspended in midair by thick leather cables, mute, and bound.
Im not sure what the canon name for this town is, so, i just named it Rickham.

Crafter, I don't really have any plans to visit the jail for now so either you need to make something or wait on someone else to come by.
BlackWing, if you are looking for a battle, the citadel is a great place (fight in whatever environment you make up with free resurrection if you die). If you need any help here on Althanas, feel free to private message me or any of the staff. You could also stop by the chat and ask questions.
Fox quietly drank his tea by the corner table after a long day's journey. His adventurous spirit had tired of the last town he had stayed at. There was simply nothing going on and a serious lack of interesting herbs and plants. However, here didn't seem much better... The kitsune idly watched the human behind the statue for lack of better things to do. His fox senses easily picked up the human quite awhile ago especially since the kitsune's fox ears were out.
Seriously, this was a tavern, not a place to pick a fight as he noted the drawn bow. If the barkeeper saw, that human might be in serious trouble since there was a no drawn weapons rule in most bars last time Fox checked. “If you want to pick a fight, go to one of the citadels in those big cities,” Fox thought.
The sound of the door opening changed Fox's focus. The new female human seemed lost and confused. The green and pink hair attracted a lot of attention as all the none-drunk clientele turned to stare. A number of them double-checked their glasses to make sure they weren't drunk.
“To help or not to help, that is the question,” thought Fox as he studied the new strange looking human. However, the bowman hiding behind the statue seemed to have a different idea. Fox heard the “twang” of the bow and ducked just in time as the arrow shattered his cup of tea. “Well, that makes three people unhappy: The barkeeper, the green-pink lady, and me,” Fox cursed to himself as he saw the wasted tea draining off the table.
“Well, since I'm off my chair, I should see if the lady is all right since none of these locals seem to be doing anything,” the potion maker said out loud. Walking up to Muri, Fox respectfully bowed. “Hello, my name is Fox. I'm a potion crafter by trade. Are you ok? If not, I have a number of potions that can calm down your nerves.”

Blair was starting to get bored. Every day for the past week he had been coming to this tavern, getting drunk and passing out in the street. "It's just lost it's charm." He thought to himself. "Maybe if you did something productive you would feel better." Toby, the name Blair gave the voice in his head, said. "Well you know what Toby, no one asked you!" As Blair was about to continue his delightful argument with himself he heard a familiar twang followed by the sound of shattering glass. He jumped up and spun around in time to see a man jump from the statue and scurry past him. "Hmm, looks like things may get interesting today Blair."
Blair walked over to the girl and the fox, "I wouldn't buy his potions if I were you my dear. I'm pretty sure the one I bought from him last week gave me bad gas. Maybe it was the rat I ate..." Blair trailed off for a moment. "In any case, don't trust this scam artist... Now where did that boy go." Blair wandered off to go find the archer. "I think he went down this hallway."

Vindlyn was sipping her tea in a (very relatively) quiet corner of the bar when she noticed several of the other patrons turned towards the door. Curios she turned her head and spotted a girl with green and pink hair walking into the bar.
Lucky me. A new person whose hair is weirder than mine? I hope that the drunks here will take the opportunity to look at somebody else. She returned to sipping her tea and trying to ignore the noises around her. She was starting to wish she had convinced the waitress to give her the tea in her room, how could anyone even think over this ruckus? She was just glad the tavern had a no fighting rule or she was sure at least one bar brawl would have broken out already…
She heard a snap of a bow and the sound of shattering glass.
Startled she looked up. Had somebody just shot a bow? Inside a tavern? Nobody appeared to be hurt as far as she could see. The girl with the green and pink hair was talking to a redheaded guy and she overheard somebody taking off after the shooter.
Since she obviously was not going to have a quiet or even particularly peaceful evening, Vindlyn let her curiosity get the better of her. She drained the last of her tea (surprisingly good actually) and went off towards the green and pink haired girl and the redhead to introduce herself.
