While I am furiously typing away and trying to remember old website codes, I want to review Ender's Game and get you lot out there to see/read it.

Do you like tactics?
Do you like bug-like aliens?
Do you like space ships blowing up?
Want it all topped off with an awesome score?

Then go see Ender's Game. I read this book as a kid and absolutely loved it. It challenged my mind and being the kid that got picked on, it really identified with me. The movie does not do the book justice, but it was a good watch with just the right amount nostalgia for those that have the read in their mental libraries. Ender is not necessarily an anti-hero, but he is a dominant underdog. His actions and brilliance in the book shone through in the movie and watching him operate on the big screen was phenomenal.

I highly recommend the movie as I will be paying to see it in theaters again soon and have purchased the score.

Lye is right. Watch this movie if you are a fan of any of those things. This is a rare gem of book to movie work, where it followed pretty damn close to the writing.

My only qualm is that they skipped over so many great battles in the arena. I realize they had to make the movie fit in the 2 hour time constraint, but boo.

This will definitely be a blu-ray pick up for me. Underrated by the critics. I feel like Gavin Hood and co. did a great job of keeping Card's ridiculous political views out of the movie by focusing on the actors. Asa Butterfield impressed as well.

I agree Driks, there were way more arena fights, and the jump from school to school was too quick for me. The Salamander battle with him duel wielding in zero grav was awesome. I also felt like Valentine was a much bigger role in the book and Ender's struggle than they depicted in the film. Even Peter came out in him and tugged at his mind quite a bit more.

Still good though. I am wondering if they will tackle the continuation of the series even though they pale in comparison.

Ender's Game is a very good film, but the books are still much better.
I got so confused in the film because I still have an edition where the aliens are called "Buggers" rather than "Formics" (I actually just had to wikipedia the film from the new edition of the books and the film).
Though the film is great, still great, worth seeing. Love the way they interpretated the dream sequences and the Hive Queen
