Esme DuWitt
Basics: 19 years old, 5'3", 103lbs
Appearance: Thin, small, with pale skin and large dark eyes. Esme has brown hair that she keeps braided back from her face, with the tail end of the braid falling to the middle of her back. She wears a blue dress with a frothy petticoat and a leather underbust corset. Around her shoulders is a black wool capelet with hood, the inside lining concealing many pockets where she can keep her elixers.
Personality: Quiet and shy. Esme is highly intuitive, yet she is ruled by anxiety and often lets fear cloud her judgment. She admires her sister fiercely, though feels the pang of jealousy for Emeline's health.
Skills
Alchemy: Upper Novice - Esme knows the recipe by heart for the medicinal elixer that regulates her heart rate, as well as some healing poutices that do not have an immediate healing facctor but work to keep wounds from getting infected.
Herbalism: Novice - Because of her experience, Esme is better at identifying plants in their dried states than in their natural ones, and her personal compendium of plant knowledge is quite small.
Abilities
Spirit Calling: Esme has the ability to see and commune with the spirit world. She can lend some of her energy to the spirit to give it corporeal form and allow it to have some influence on the environment. At the moment, this ability is weak. She cannot influence the spirit to do something out of it's nature (for example, the spirit of a kind matron could not be made to attack someone, but the energy could allow the spirit to bring a blanket from across the room to cover a sleeping child), and any physical action is only the strength of a shove or punch. No spirit's weapons can be imbued with enough power to cause damage at this level. Only one spirit at a time may be given energy. The effect can be sustained for 3 minutes at maximum. Keeping the energy going for the full maximum will result in Esme's heart beating out of control and her falling unconscious for three hours. Can be used twice per day, unless used until maximum and then only once as it is too draining on her health.
Earth Magic: Very weak: Esme can move soil and break up compacted soil at the rate of 1 cubic foot per second. She can also "see" through stone by placing her hand on it to know if something is incased within the rock or against it on another side.
Emeline DuWitt
Basics: 19 years old, 5'3", 119lbs
Appearance: Muscular but short. Her skin is tanned, and covered in scars both new and old. Her dark eyes are hidden behind a pair of round-framed glasses, her brown hair cropped short. She wears a brown knitted jumper with dark grey leather pants that tuck into black steel-toed boots. She always travels with an oversized pack on her back.
Personality: Emeline is quiet yet profoundly confident. Standing beside her sister, she seems to tower over her despite the fact that they are the same height. She is a quick thinker, logical and decisive. Endlessly optimistic, she feels that Esme is capable of far more than she lets on and looks for opportunities to let her sister live life to the fullest.

Engineer's Eye: Emeline has a natural knack for architecture and structural integrity.
Researcher: [i]She is talented at finding out information, either by word of mouth or through reading. An avid and quick reader, she can also read several different languages including Elven, Dwarvish, and Akashiman, though she is not very proficient at speaking them.

Fire Magic: Weak: Emeline can create two different kinds of flame. The first is a non-heat-producing light that burns as brightly as candlelight and can be sustained for several hours. The second is a hot flame, the temperature of a camp fire. Emeline can hold this flame (which is a fireball the size of a fist) in her hand without being burned, but she cannot throw or toss it.

Esme and Emeline were born on a warm summer night to a loving merchant family. The DuWitt's traveled often for business and at a young age Emeline developed a passion for exploration. Esme was born in poor health, and often bedridden for a heart condition. When the twins developed magic talents early in life, their parents didn't do much to encourage them to cultivate them and in fact asked them to keep them hidden. When the girls came of age and inherited a modest sum of money for an apartment in Radasanth, Emeline convinced Esme that they should choose a life of adventure and fortune with their talents.
