View Full Version : Adding to my collection of blades
I'd like to purchase two matching simple short swords with two foot long metal blades and six inch bone hilts (with leaden/metal pommels). Identical, except one has its pommel painted red and the other blue. If possible I'd appreciate quotes for Iron, Steel, and Damascus.
Additionally, I'd like a quote for a dozen Iron or Steel broad-head arrow tips. Not actual arrows, mind you, just the sharp metal heads.
Thanks!
You got it, sir!
Short Swords with Bone Handle (Pair):
Iron: 250 GP
Steel: 350 GP
Damascus: 650 GP
As for the broad heads (Dozen):
Iron: 60 GP
Steel: 90 GP
Great, thanks! I'll likely take both in steel, but I'll need to wait for a few days for the gold to come in. I'll post here again or PM you or something when that happens.
O Lord of the Bazaar,
Apologies for the delay, my gambling habit got the better of me in the Magus Cup. If all goes well, I shall have the gold within the week (If I win my wager, I'm cutting myself off! I promise! And not just because I expect to kroom myself in the next round!).
In the meantime, it's likely beyond my means (gambling inflated or otherwise), but I thought I'd get a quick price check on a fake gun. Yep, you read that correctly, a fully non-functional firearm fit only for a pretend pirate. I'd like it shaped like a typical flintlock pistol (http://www.redriverrenegades.com/LEWIS__CLARK_STYLE_FLINTLOCK_PISTOL_copy.gif) - so made almost entirely of wood - and crafted just well enough that anyone without a decent amount of fire arm experience would be unable to realize it's fake, at least from a distance. The one stipulation is that the metal barrel be hollow, but otherwise there's no moving parts or anything that would require much advanced smithing or carpentry.
If it do please ya, I'd like a quote for the weapon if the main body is made from oak and if it's made from Akashima redwood. In both cases the metal barrel and other fake metal parts (basically non-moving trigger, trigger guard, and hammer) are made from iron - no need for the flint/steel igniter, etc.. The whole thing would be a little over a foot long and around 2 lbs.
And finally, a price per item for simple bullets. Not cartridges, mind you, with powder and casings and such, just the metal bullet part that wouldn't be able to be fired from most kinds of real guns. Quotes for iron and lead would be appreciated, and if there's a difference in price between plain spherical bullets and pointed conical bullets I'd appreciate that too. Let's say .50 caliber in size - a half inch in diameter.
Thanks!
Callan,
For the fake flintlock, you are looking at 75 GP in the iron/wood.
For the Akashiman Redwood, 450 GP is the price.
Now, for the bullets. Shape does not matter. The lead rounds are 5 GP a pop. The iron rounds are 15 GP a pop.
