Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 5’8” (1.73m)
Weight: 164 lbs (74.39 kg)

Personality: Bakar is an impetuous, insecure, stubborn drunkard with a passion for music, women, and strong drink. His reckless attitudes toward life are symptoms of his cowardly nature, which often inhibits his ability to accept responsibility for his own actions.
Backstory:
Before the civil war, Bakar lived as an orphan in the city of Serenti. He spent many of his early childhood days scrounging for food and shelter on the streets of Serenti. It’s a colorful city, with a colorful culture. The taverns are usually packed with travellers, and among these travellers, are musicians that play from town to town. One musician fascinated Bakar. He was an old elf who played with a guitar-like instrument called a Jarache. The elf couldn’t’ sing a lyric to save his life, but one night he overheard Bakar singing down a back alley as everyone was leaving the tavern. He had requested that Bakar accompany him at nights at the tavern, essentially giving him a job. Bakar would sing the songs that this elf would play.
The two made a decent amount of coin as a small time duo. Bakar had really settled into this life, it beat scrapping in the street over leftovers, or purse snatching which resulted in lashes. There was also the lot of adolescent orphan gangs running wild in the streets. Violence plagued Serenti streets, but that didn’t matter now to Bakar. He spent many of his night, drinking away, and chasing women. His voice never really got better, and many of the harsh nights in the tavern had really given it a hardened, rasping quality. Not to mention his elf father figure had been becoming ill over the years. By the time Bakar had reached the age of 16, his companion’s health had deteriorated so much, that he could no longer play. This old, frail man, passed on his Jarache to Bakar. Bakar had learned how the Jarache functions, picking patterns, and even whole songs. He picked the instrument up naturally. Not long after that, the elf finally passed on in his sleep.
Bakar was now left wondering what he could do. He felt that he couldn’t live in Serenti anymore. Bakar hooked up with a travelling merchant group, and started heading north along the pearl coast. Bakar had travelled all over Corone. He made his living by playing, trading, and even sometimes pickpocketing. He did anything to get him to his next destination. He was anxious, and could never stay in one spot for too long. It also could have been his talent for trouble. It seemed that wherever Bakar went, chaos was soon to follow. Eventually, he started taking up work with local farmers. He’d work the fields as a field hand. It was hard work, but the honest pay meant that he could head to the local watering hole without incident. There was even down time in which he would play away, always getting better with his instrument.
Eventually, Civil war broke out, and Bakar wanted to be as far away from the fray as possible. He took on a job as a deck hand for a local merchant ship, shipping spices and dyes to the other Baronies. He kept this work up for years, until finally returning to Serenti. He still continues the same trek across the land, never stopping, never settling in to a home. He has no home, and never will.
Armor (clothing): Threadbare peasant’s clothes. Worn fur shoes.
Weapon: Large steel tankard.
Skills:
Musicianship- He is an adept musician with an adequate singing voice. He isn’t quite a bard, and he doesn’t know any of the epic poems. He mostly sings passed around love songs, commonly sung in taverns. He also can only play one instrument competently, and that is his beloved Jarache.
Pickpocket- Bakar is a practiced pickpocket. In his youth, in broad daylight, he would stalk potential marks on crowded streets, mostly populated populated by sailors and journeying merchants. With nimble fingers, sensitivity, and finesse, Bakar is able to snatch coin straight out of the pockets of oblivious travellers. In fact, much of his success as a pickpocket can be attributed to his skill as a musician.
Abilities:
Crafty Coward- He can cling to shadows; hide under boxes, or plunge himself into wreckage to stay hidden.
Alcohol Tolerance- Bakar’s alcohol tolerance has become so high, that he’s able to drink almost anyone under the table.
Speedy escape- when given the choice between “fight and flight,” The choice is usually flight. The extra adrenaline will give him a much-needed boost in speed to put distance between himself and danger. His speed isn't extraordinary, but just fast enough to bullet past people wearing heavy armor, or brandishing heavy weapons, and barely escape people wearing lighter armors, and light carrying light weapons.
Items:
Large steel tankard- this has been with him since he was an adolescent. This tankard is incredibly durable, and is commonly dangling off of his travelling bag. It is also used as a weapon.
Jarache- An eight stringed, guitar-like instrument called a Jarache. It has a curved, narrow body, and is typically made out of wood and gut. It is played rhythmically and produces a high, sharp sound.
