Hello all, thanks for stopping by to check out my request/discussion thread.

I would like to discuss my solo, The Key Beneath The Doorstep (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26955). In this thread, I plan to have my assassin, Lye, hunt down and kill a Gorian'fel within the Concordian forest. Though this sounds simple, it will certainly not be easy. For a brief description of a Gorian'fel, click the link to the thread and read the excerpt I put together using past and current references on Althanas. Based on this thread (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?14597) by the missed Cyrus the Virus, I gathered that they were rather massive and similar to a bear. Using the Bazaar Guide (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26527-The-Bazaar-FAQ&p=220671&viewfull=1#post220671), I learned that the Gorian'fel are subterranean creatures that reside in Concordia. It is also apparent that the beasts have an affinity for psychic powers. That picture seemed to give the combination a good visual for what I will be up against.

Now, for those that TLDR (too long, didn't read), what I would like to have happen in this solo is a few occasional cameo appearances in the thread. Currently, Lye will be entering a bar where he will try to collect information on the Gorian'fel from anyone that has heard of them. This is one opportunity for a cameo to discuss the Gorian'fel and elude to any sightings or rumors.

As the thread progresses, Lye will come across a den and through a series of events, finally engage in battle with one of the beasts. This battle will be long, it will be loud, and there will be blood spilled on both sides. That being said, I am contemplating another cameo where a second player jumps in near the end of the fight or discovers a dead Gorian'fel next to a very wounded Lye. This cameo would obviously cover getting Lye and the beast back to Underwood.

In Underwood, the return of the assassin and the giant, dead animal will raise quite the uproar. Obviously Lye does not want this attention, but certain interested parties will come looking for the Gorian'fel. I want this to work in Lye's favor and have a third and final cameo with a smithing/skinning character. This person will assist me in prepping and skinning the beast for half of the hide.

Those that complete a cameo and work with me on the details so it fits the story, will be entitled to a small patch of the hide. This will be an OOC reward if the IC spoil is approved. The assisting smith/skinner with be entitled to half the usable hide (I imagine the battle will be rather gruesome, so the hide will not be perfect).

That being said, who is interested?

EDIT-He's sorta been drinking his cares away for the past year. So. I figure you'd find him around the bar.

At that. I must say, this is a brilliant idea for a solo.

If you want a member of the Order to cameo and find Lye, I'd be more than happy to oblige.

*pops hand into the air*

Phi is always to be found in bars... and has perhaps heard of a few wild tales in her experience with many weary travellers (whom she makes more weary but never mind). Chances are she may have heard of rumours of some wild beast north/south whichever direction Lye ends up travelling - basically towards the caves he ends up travelling in. It might even be just a single mention, but if you are wanting a random faun whore I am your lady

Daughter of Concordia and Knight of the Seven at your service, sire.

Good! Good! Glad to see this garnered some interest. Now, to see who fits what roles. Obviously Allennia needs to be included to some capacity. Please let me know which role you think your character would fit best. I am thinking a bar patron, helping the uniformed drunk to his feet, or rescuer.

Erikar, I may end up using you depending on what Allennia chooses. The fact that Order members are there may elude to Noir having sent others to find Lye. So that part may fit. Keep in mind that when fighting or around one of these beasts, any skill that is activated or controlled by the mind is nullified. That being said, your magnetism would be inert.

Phi, I might be able to include you somewhere in the thread depending on how Allennia wants to participate. It may start off as a conversation between you and a ranger - him boasting about seeing one of the beasts and you remarking that you've heard of them in the past. Lye could confront Phi, and as he prods for information on the beast, Allennia could interject advising him to halt his search. That may foreshadow Allennia's rescue of Lye should Cyd pick that route.

Kraus, if Phi drops out of the role listed above, you might fill in. By the sounds of it, your character seems to fit the setting the least of the four.

Thoughts?

I still need a skinner/smith. *cough*Otto*cough*
