Personality:
His primary mode of living is focused internally, where he deals with things rationally and logically. His secondary mode is external, where he takes things in via his five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. He has a compelling drive to understand the way things work. He enjoys taking things apart and seeing the way they work. He has an adventuresome spirit.
He thrives on action, and is usually fearless. He is fiercely independent, needing to have the space to make his own decisions about his next step. He does not usually believe in or follow rules and regulations, as this would prohibit his ability to "do his own thing". His sense of adventure and desire for constant action makes him prone to becoming bored rather quickly. He is loyal to his causes and beliefs, and is a firm believer that people should be treated with equity and fairness.
Although he does not respect the rules of the "System", he follows his own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. He will not take part in something which violates his personal laws. He absorbs large quantities of impersonal facts from the external world, and sort through those facts, making judgments, when he is alone.
He is an action-oriented person. He likes to be up and about, doing things. He is not a person to sit all day and do long-range planning. Adaptable and spontaneous, he responds to what is immediately before him. He focuses on details and practical things. He avoids making judgments based on personal values - he feels that judgments and decisions should be made impartially, based on the fact. He is not naturally tuned in to how he is affecting others.
He does not pay attention to his own feelings, and even distrust them and tries to ignore them, because he has difficulty distinguishing between emotional reactions and value judgments. This may be a problem area for him and may be something he should work on. He is excellent in a crisis situations. He is good at following through with a project, and tying up loose ends. He is usually a patient individual, although he can be prone to occasional emotional outbursts due to his inattention to his own feelings. He is optimistic, full of good cheer, loyal to his equals, uncomplicated in his desires, generous, trusting and a receptive person who wants no part in confining commitments.
History:
Valdr was born many years before the time of the War of the Tap. He had the misfortune of being a halfling. His sire being a wealthier merchant from one of the tribes of Corone that traveled to Raiaera to trade. His wealth is the reason for attracting a young elf maiden who was the daughter of a powerful Elven Guard Captain of the Raiaera government. Valdr was treated badly while growing up being ostracized from both human and elven children for not fitting in quite right.
His grandfather being a guard made it his duty to have Valdr proficient in weapons of all sorts including hand to hand combat. Valdr at a young age seemed to have developed some sort magical enhancement that aloud for him to have telepathic powers, most likely inherited from his mother’s elven blood. Although he had some power he was not gifted in most of the ways of magic for his tainted blood left it beyond his grasp. His father being wealthy from his successful trading company made Valdr free to pursue his own interests in lieu of getting a job. So to make up for his lack of magic he studied the newer studies of science in secret from his parents for most of society was of the mind that magic supplemented for the need of technology and thus disproved of it.
With his excess of time he delved into his studies and covered many fields from the study of language and anthropology to the primitive discoveries of biology and physics. With his studies of physics he was able to implement his knowledge molecules and electric charges into his telekinesis and shape the world around him to his will and enhance his physical speed and agility. For near 3 centuries Valdr studied and trained his mind extensively. Over his long years of questing for knowledge he developed a keen liking to particularly interesting way of fighting. He discovered a very remote tribe of ancient elves deep in the woods of the Great Forest. They fought with a weapon called a Qua’ldi which consisted of about a yard of staff with an ornate blade of metal around a foot and a half in length. The metal and staff varying in quality based on skill and status. With time Valdr grew very skilled in the art of Ha’ldgina (Dance of the Blades) in the language of the ancient tribe.
His telekinetic powers were never that strong originally making it hard to lift heavy objects but where able to use it to condense molecules and atoms into relatively small nearly indestructible spheres. He was able to augment his telekinetic powers with mystic crystals that were either found, traded for or bought. Once the war broke out between the Forgotten and the rest of the world Valdr was contacted by the order of magi formed to stop the sorcerers and end their evil. In battles that ensued many fell to the enemy before they were finally defeated and sealed in the Antifirmament. During one of the battles Valdr was taken by surprise and suffered a nearly fatal wound his head and left shoulder.
To avoid certain death Valdr had his closest friend whom was fighting also to make haste to one of safe houses in which he stored many of the ancient powerful artifacts found on his many adventures in the many centuries of his life. One of these artifacts was a mystic sarcophagus which healed even the gravest of wounds but took more time based on the severity of the wounds (which he was able to derive from text found near the sarcophagus. Even though the ancient sarcophagus was untested by Valdr and its side effects unknown he had his comrade submit him to a slumber of healing. The slumber was only supposed last a few years because of the severity of Valdr wounds but upon the shattering of the Tap the power of the sarcophagus was greatly diminished to the point of being nonexistent.
Thus Valdr Eldia was forced for untold to sleep centuries until the time of the modern era. Once the healing was done Valdr awoke with nothing but vague memories and nothing but the knowledge of his ability to use telekinetic s. He also seemed to have retained his skill with his Qua’ldi. Also with the Tap destroyed his telekinetic powers were also diminished to a fraction his is true power.
