How much would it be to enchant a single steel throwing needle with the following:
When the needle impacts a surface and penetrates, it will grow steel "roots" that will spread into the target and seem to pull the projectile deeper. The roots will remain in tact until the needle is pulled out. The needles can be removed if fully rooted and will slowly revert if force is applied in puling them out. This means that if additional time is taken and enough force is applied, the needle can be removed as smoothly as it was inserted. Pain will be an obvious factor during the process if the target is living. If time is of the essence, they can be removed quickly, but the roots will tear rip away at the target as it is pulled out. These roots will be like steel fibers and only grow and inch outward from the impact site. The part of the needle sticking out of the target will look as though it is growing deeper, but only due to the displacement of metal needed to grow said roots. It takes 10 seconds to fully root themselves.
Have at it!
