Lian Vas'Garth
09-17-06, 04:37 PM
Name-Lian Vas’Garth
Age-Unknown
Race-Vampire
Gender-Male
Height-About 6 feet
Weight-About 100 pounds
Hair Color-White
Eye Color-Red/Blue

Appearance

-Lian is a little taller than average, as of right now his body is sickly thin with little muscle. The black wings on his back are little more than long flaps of skin, no more use than the cloth they feel like. His face is thin and shallow, his skin pale and white, his eyes bloodshot red, and his hair lusterless white. He looted what clothes he could; patched tan pants, a white long-sleeve shirt with only one sleeve, one black leather boot and one tan boot, and a thick black velvet curtain worn like a cloak.

Skills

-Feeding: Immediately after feeding, Lian gains some of his old powers for a few minutes. This allows him to be twice as strong and fast as he normally is and closes all wounds. These wounds are not healed, but the skin will have closed.

Abilities

-Psychic: Vampires have advanced minds and it is fairly common for them to develop psychic abilities to some degree. In his prime, Lian was exceptionally powerful, but the passage of time has been very harsh. Currently he can only augment his senses giving him increased hearing, smell, and sight. Each of these is roughly 2 times their normal capacity.

Racial Traits

-Divinity: After such high exposure to holy damage, Lian is more resistant than most vampires and will only suffer slightly increased damage as compared to the utter destruction most vampires suffer.

-Sunlight: Lian suffers when exposed to direct sunlight, though it is not deadly. His skin will begin to steam and eventually smoke after much exposure, but he can withstand as long as 2 minutes without much pain.

-Slayable: Wooden stakes to the heart will permanently kill him as will decapitation and somehow getting silver into his blood stream, but other than that there isn’t much to keep him down. If he were stabbed in the stomach, it would be very painful but it would not be a fatal wound, if he suffers enough pain he will eventually pass out though. A vampire’s body is essentially dead, and is very flammable making them easy to incinerate.

-Flight: At his current state, his wings are completely useless. He cannot move them at all, though they will eventually become strong again.

-Body: Vampires are well known for being much faster and stronger than other races, though Lian is so weakened it is not much. He is actually a little weaker than normal humans but he still retains some of his speed. At this point he is 1.5 times faster than average.

History

-Lian Vas’Garth was once a name to be feared, everyone knew it yet none dared to speak it. This was time when vampires reined supreme over the known world, but it was short-lived. Originally born as a human child, he was blessed with vampirism at the age of three, when one tried to feed on him and his father staked him before Lian ran dry. He grew up as a vampire then, developing his body differently. Most didn’t become vampires until they were nearly full grown, but he started much younger. Because of this, he grew in a fashion that natural vampire children grow, first developing wings and then eventually entire new organs.

Later in his life, Lian rose to power in vampire society and was renown for his power by vampire and humans alike. For many years he lived easily in Salvar, but then the church of the ethereal sway formed. At first the vampires thought it only a new organization, but when they began to oppose the vampires, they became a threat. Not treating the humans as any real problem, they didn’t try very hard and were met with horrible defeats. The church employed powerful blessed weapons that caused grievous and fatal damage to vampires, quickly gaining members and systematically eliminating the vampire race. Lian was one of the first to face them, an attempted assassination of the church leader. He failed, almost killed by divine maul that caught him in the chest. He managed to escape, barely alive, and made it to Berevar before collapsing. There in the frozen wilderness he drifted into a recuperative stasis.

When at last he awoke, healed, hundreds of years had passed. His body was thin and frail, a mere husk of his former glory, but he was alive. Now he sets out to regain all that he lost and take revenge on the church that cost him so much.

Do you have any weapons or armor to note?

Other than that, it looks fine.

No, I wrote the history and then the rest of the character, and I got to the weapons and armor section and realized it wouldn't make sense.
