Requiem of Insanity

The Requiem of Insanity's Lyrics can be found here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?24243-The-Requiem-of-Insanty-The-Goddess-of-Blessed-Torture). This is two updates in one, and a significant change to her considering her new status as a demi god.

This Level Update represents the taking over of the Cult by their Avatar, Cassandra's daughter Catherine Remi - The Crimson Angel. Please replace all ability instances of Cassandra with the word Catherine.

Catherine Remi's newest skill sets and upgrades shall be done in Yellow
Name:Catherine Remi
Age:26 - Due to being a divine being, her body never ages past this youth.
Sex: Female
Height: 5'8
Weight: 157 lbs.
Occupation: The Crimson Angel

Cassandra Remi is your average brunette bombshell. She stands at that perfect height, that perfect weight where you can just pick her up and have your way with her, her hair long and flowing in that perfect way. She has that look of wildness that lures men into a false sense of security, and that infallible ability to bat her eyes in just the right way to make a man's blood churn.

Now in her Divinity Cassandra has an aura around her that is beguiling and charming. Many people find her strikingly beauty, as if she was chiseled from a god's hands. Her body is poised and elegant, and she never rushes anywhere, always walking. Her feet never touch the ground; instead red sigils of suffering are etched under her naked feet so she never has to place her flesh upon the mortal world. A Corona of Dark energy halos her head, usually in the color Red or Black, changed upon her mood.

~~~~~~
If I could tell you the story of Cassandra Remi, my mother, in one word, I would have to say Determination. For when she plans something, placing her entire being behind this idea, there is litterally nothing upon Althanas that can stop her. And trust me, many have tried.
Cassandra has done the unthinkable. She has manipulated Viceroi's of the Coronian Council, united Salvars military to her cause, and somehow organized a den of Rapists, Thieves, and Serial Killers to one banner. Her indominablte Will is so strong that her lessers do not even think to betray her. Only be her twisted power could such a gathering of scum be able to perform the miracles she has created.
The most awe inspiring moment of her planning and dedication to her ideals was the ill fated Night of Debauchery. A personal attack upon the lands of Sei Orlouge and his Knights put them on the defensive in such a manner that to this day they still are recovering. Thousands of lives were lost, many influential people of both armies were crushed, and alliances shattered upon the anvil of war. No more so keenly felt by the Ixians than the loss of General William Arcus, the Revenant, who turned traitor on the night.
Losing the one man she ever loved, crippling her Daughter, and losing more than three quarters of her military she obtained her prize - a Godly trinket. Such death orchestrated for the sake of stealing one of Sei's Thayne gifts. In my mind I have no doubts that she could have planned this without the level of bloodshed that was given, but to her...there was no other option.
Her hands in the Coronian civil war ensured that her military could rebuild while the Ixians were further placed on the defensive, manipulating the world and showing the ugly side of Sei's legions. But all of this is not to chafe away at the Ixians power in spite, but carefully planned to keep them too busy to assault her meager forces.
And now it has come to pass. She has left this world in the final trimester of her ascension, and in a few months time my mother will be Reborn a Goddess.
To be honest...I'm not sure that is a fate I want...
Skills:
Alchemy and Poisons: There is not a thing Cassandra doesn’t know about Poisons, and her time studying the rituals of Godhood as well as the tutelage of Alexander “Memnar” Rayz and Amelie Boheme have made her an Expert on both subjects.
Swordplay: Cassandra has used enough of her Butcher’s Bill to know how to swing it effectively, but she is far from perfect. Cassandra is Average with a blade.
Axeplay: Catherine has become one with Hope's Requiem and can get the most out of it. She is considered an expert with this weapon.
Devoted Love: Catherine hates her mother, but also cannot bare the thought of not being with her forever. She is enthralled to her mother and those associated with her, including an intimate relationship with her sister Aerith. Catherine cannot be be charmed or seduced via love or love potions
Mistress of Torment: To be able to inflict the poetic justice she so rightly administers she must be well versed in the art of punishment. Her past has given a good head start on how to inflict harm, and she has no problems with learning more. Now her skills have been tested against foes far stronger than herself, and she has learned much from them, including from the dark sinister book of Catrina Ferman. Cassandra in short knows how to hurt people for maximum effect.
The Red Thirst: Catherine cannot control herself if she goes long periods of time without shedding blood - her own or someone elses. Her character begins to degenerate the longer she has to go without shedding blood, creating a strange Bi-Polarism effect. This is only ignored when with her sister Aerith.
The Fallen Angel: Catherine is the Crimson Angel, the avatar of Blessed Torture. Her pained existance is inspirtation to the Cult, and she commands the Elite military of her Mother's Horde.
Flight: Catherine has wings upon her back that do function and can carry her. Such is her practice in live combat with them that she can Expertly fly in even heavy elemental conditions.
Abilities:
Divinity: Cassandra is a demi god now, and has since been elevated from normal status as a human. She’s exceeded the peak of humanity and risen to be something more. This means her stats are boosted in the following ways of the average human.
STR: x8 - Boulders and the like of up to 600lbs are of no burden to Cassandra or her daughter. Please note that while she is immensly strong, she cannot perform certain feets like lifting a thousand year old oak tree out of the ground because she wouldn't have a good enough grip.
END: x6 - Catherine, unlike her mother, can last for seven minutes in combat without fatigue, and can use her wings without draining her personal reserve at leisurely paces. Obviously, please note that wounds inflicted upon her will diminish her endurance accordingly.
SPD: x6 - Catherine, unlike her mother, can use her wings for boosts of speed and acknowledges that sometimes you just gotta run. She can run as fast as a Cheetah (55mph) and do so for three minutes before she tires with her Endurance. If flying, she can zoom around at 70mph for three minutes.
AGI: x6 - Catherine has fought with Draug, her brother and the Cult's Champion, to sharpen her skills and focus in battle. She can bend her body like an expert contortionist.
In addition she also has Divine Regeneration: Scratches, and minor wounds will heal instantly on her and more signicant wounds will gradually heal over time ( In two posts, a laceration or deep gouge will seal up and she is immune to all poisons and potions as befitting a higher being (unless specifically designed for a god.) Also, for purely cosmetic reasons and HAS NO BEARING IN COMBAT: If Cassandra is left enough time after a battle, she will fully heal quickly and succinctly. (It’s just a neat way when a battle is over for her to quick heal her wounds, but obviously in battles that last more than the one fight this will need Opponent’s permission to pull off.) However, she is still very much mortal, and will be killed by several mortal means.
Demi God of Blessed Torture: Cassandra, being all that embodies torture, can make blood seep out her fingernails and perform various functions. Each one is capable of being done only once a day, unless otherwise stated. Also, as a divine being, Cassandra’s blood is considered holy, and will harm those that are harmed by such things if made contact.
-Poison - Cassandra can channel any of the poisons she mastered over the years into her weapons like the Butcher's Bill or her nails including:
Poison- a low based poison, only designed to make an opponent feel nauseated.
Love Potion: (Only works on PC’s with permission) creates a stimulation and attraction to the first logical thing the person can love.
Twilight- A poison designed to make it so the effects of Vampiric disintegration in daylight now affects vampires in the moonlight, making it safe for them outside only in the twilight hours. (PC permission only.)
The Howling- A poison designed to overflow the sense filters in your body when the moon hits your skin. It's overloaded super like feeling shuts the brain down to an animalistic like state where you’re in a permanent combat high and lose all cognitive thought. (Need player permission to use.)
Umbra- A poison that deadens the nerves that make muscles move, incapacitating the target. However, they can still feel all pain they receive. (Need player permission to use)
Blood Sire – A vicious poison that actually signals all the nerves in the body to feel as if they are burning, followed by stimulation to the brain to hallucinate that bugs or other such horrors are crawling under your skin. Excessive will power is needed to not succumb to ripping your own skin out to stop the pain, and takes forty eight hours to leave the system. For those with weak wills, it is only safe to tie them down and wait it out. (For PC to roleplay out, but if they choose to ignore the effects, they will still feel at least the burning sensation.)
-Rend – With a swipe of her hand the blood creates a slash in the air no wider than a sword’s width, and flies out like a wave and hits the target as if she had swung her sword at them. In short, it’s a long ranged attack that works exactly as if she had swung her blade at them. She can perform this attack 6X a day.
Meteor Strike - Catherine can use her wings in combat to lift her to a high height, and then vault back to the earth with ground shaking impact doing an area of effect attack that sends out enough force to shake the surrounding area and create a three foot diamater crater. 3x a day.
Blood Rage: When Catherine is shedding blood in combat, her ability to reason lessens and her demented lifestyle is brought to the fore. She almost transforms into a vicious monster and for three posts her Endurance will not waiver unless serious bodily injury is dealt to her. (Becuse sometimes, you cannot ignore your arm being chopped off.)
Blood Sense: Catherine can hear the pounding of blood in her ears, and when combat is high she can sense people around her by their blood. Catherine will not be snuck up on in Combat unless it is by traitorous hands or she is preoccupied. In short: Catherine is never caught off guard unless deemed reasonable. (Judges may nit pick this if they like.) 2x a quest, 1x a battle.
Equipment:
- A jet black sneaking suit made of Vlince. It can reflect all light when in a predominantly shadowy area. Purchased in the bazaar.
-Make up kit for stage performance, a satchel to hold her belongings.
-Set of knives, all varying in types, no stronger than Dehlar with a few Titanium and all but three items really usable for combat. Those would be The cat's claws (A wooden pole with blades that come out like a pair of claws(STEEL), Foot long dagger(STEEL), and a parrying knife (STEEL) for two dagger fighting.
Since incorporating her father’s own knives she tossed a few of her cutlery in favor of new ones, her utensils of death now include the following:
-Titanium Butcher's Knife
-Titanium Fillet Knife
-Dehlar Serrated Steak Knife
-Dehlar Iron Potato Peeler
-Dehlar Butterfly Knife
-Dehlar Searing Knife
-Steel Basic Cooks Utensils.
-Dehlar Santoku Knife
-The Butcher's Bill- A Dehlar Blade that is three and half feet long, the tip angled down in a diagonal and is extremely sharp. It is most excellent used as a giant's butchers knife, the metal and sharpness strong enough to cut through bone.
-Hope's Requiem: The Axe of Tabitha has runic charms upon it to keep the edge razor sharp, and it always shines brightly and never tarnishes it. A nifty Titanium axe with a dehalr handle and masterwork leather hilt.
yo! Welcome back :)
How often can you use Meteor Strike and Blood Rage?
Also the strength amount seems a bit high, I'd think more like 500 pounds would be the upper limit of 8x strength. What do you think?
Before I edit, how about 8x the average human, which seems fair to go for 600 lbs. :D
I'll edit twice a quest and once per battle for blood rage.
Three times for meteor seem good?
