As with all Regional Bazaars, you may purchase materials in Salvar that are not on this list, but there is a 50% price markup on these. For a list of the materials not special in Salvar, look here: http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=2577. If you are unfamiliar with how the bazaar works (craftsmanship levels, material types, and all of that) please check out the main bazaar info and get acquainted before you purchase something here.

Notes on Knighthood: There are four levels of purchasing in Salvar. The first level is for general sale to everyone. The second level is available only to those who have been awarded a certain rank of knighthood by the crown (think of this more like honorary knighthood than meaning you have to go about on a horse in armor) and the third level for a higher rank of knighthood. The other level means that you are a wanted criminal and banned from the regional bazaar, so you’ll have to use the black markets of Salvar.

Notes on NPC Slaves: These are slaves that you may use in quests (not battles or tournaments) to assist you in whatever way you wish. Their level will be one-fourth of your level, rounded down. So a level one will have a level zero slave, a level four will have a level one slave, a level eight will have a level two slave, etc. You must post out a profile detailing your slave’s racial attributes, skills, abilities, magic, etc.—anything and everything that could be considered to make them powerful. If you want your slave to “level up” when you reach the appropriate level, please take it up with the RoG.

Notes on Bulk Workforce Slaves: Bulk slaves are sub-level-zero slaves are used to supplement your estate’s, business’, or town’s workforce. They can never level up and will always remain level zero. They should have no more than one designation—i.e., they’re good either good at mining, farming, or cooking, but not all three. They cannot be used to go on adventures with you like your NPC slaves can, but it’s fine to use them as plot devices in any threads in which they don’t give you a distinct advantage.

Notes on Hides: All hides purchased in Salvar should be considered effectively one craftsmanship level higher than what you purchase.

Available to the General Public

* Hair Weave - This is woven from the strands of actual human hair. It is very strong, if made properly, though some people tend to be put off by it. Good for capes, cloaks, and other over-wear. When burned, this fabric is particularly noxious. There aren’t many people, however, willing to sell their hair, and it takes several heads of the stuff to make a decently sized garment. This is all moot, though, if you kill someone and take their hair.
* Real World Pines - All real world woods exist in Althanas precisely as they do in the natural world of earth. Pines should be used according to how they are use in real life. If you need help with this, try http://www.wikipedia.org/ or just use a Salvar pine.
* Salvar Pines - Eklan, Ulder, and Trakym. If you need descriptions on these, just check out the main bazaar: http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=2577.
* Arctic Beast Hide - Mammoths, elk, and other arctic mammals have hides thick in both fur and skin. As such, these hides provide better cold protection when they are used as furs and better weapon protection when made into leather. Despite which modification they undergo, they will still be better in both respects than normal fur or leather.
* First NPC Slave – 400 GP.
* Up to 200 sub-level-zero bulk workforce slaves – 20 GP each.

Available to Those Who Have Attained Knighthood

* Bones - The skeletal remains of large-bodied mammals, bones are in Althanas what they are in the real world. Although weak against blunt-force trauma, bone retains an edge and functions as decent armor against slashing. Bone is also an excellent component of composite bows.
* Ice Drake Scale - The layered armor taken from the scaly hide of an ice drake. These scales are broader and much stiffer than conventional scales. They provide average protection against slashing attacks, but are vulnerable to puncture wounds. They give the wearer a marginal ability to channel water magic and a marginal ability to resist fire.
* Liviol - Liviol wood is the product of trees spending centuries in magically saturated grounds. Modern Liviol comes in colors ranging from deep blue to royal purple. It takes its name from the blue trees, which were the first ones found. This wood, depending on what wood it originally spawned from, are good for different things; Trakym Liviol, for instance, resists magic with extraordinary power. Eklan Liviol, on the other hand, carries latent protective properties. Almost the entire Warded Wood is made of Liviol; however, this forest tends to appear when it wants to appear, and disappear just as quickly. This makes constant lumberjacking all but impossible, and thus drives up the price exponentially.
* Second NPC Slave – 800 GP.
* Up to 200 more (400 total) sub-level-zero bulk workforce slaves – 20 GP each.

Available to Knights of the Rathaxean Order

* Prevalida - A blue metal, Prevalida is a bit stronger than mythril and slightly heavier than Damascus. While it is good for almost all weaponry and armor, its true value lies in its magical properties. Prevalida is both resistant to magical attacks and capable of channeling the magic of its wielder to new heights. A skilled enchanter can “bypass” its magical resistance using the proper spells, as well as “immunize” it to magical attacks coming from non-friendly sources. How Prevalida distinguishes between the magic of its owner and an attacker is unknown, but the fact remains that it is powerfully linked to the person who is using it.
* Sea Serpent Scale - Layered armor taken from the scaly hide of a sea-serpent. Pigment depends on the race, gender, and depths from which the monster was taken. These scales are finely knitted together, much like snake's scales. They provide increased resistance to cold, and can provide a conduit to channel magic energies. The Salvarans are very jealous of these scales, and guard them intensely.
* Icemold - Icemold is a synthetic material unique to Salvar. While what exactly it's made of and how it is made are well-kept secrets, it's a widely known fact that it's one of the best materials on Althanas. It is a shiny substance of translucent blue that projects a mild sense of cold, although it will never melt under direct sunlight. Icemold weapons are renowned for being able to slice straight through anything--even adamatine. However, they are so brittle that they shatter on impact, truly making them one-use weapons. Pieces of armor can also be coated in icemold, making the armor capable of withstanding a single blow from any weapon or magical attack. These armor coatings, however, also shatter when they are struck. The care and secrecy that goes into the construction of Icemold makes it wildly expensive. It also takes 3 months to prepare your order (so you can only use it 3 months after your transaction ends.)
* Third NPC Slave – 1600 GP.
* Up to 200 more (600 total) sub-level-zero bulk workforce slaves – 20 GP each.

The Black Market

If you are a criminal in Salvar, you obviously won't be granted ranks of knighthood that allow you to purchase from the higher levels. But I'm sure crafty characters will figure out ways to acquire the things sold here through illegal channels.
