History: Ozoric is a bastard son of the emperor of Corone. He came into the world as a by-product of a chance encounter between a sultry Radasanthian whore and the emperor approximately twenty-four years ago, by the wax and wane of the imperial calendar. Unable to proclaim ownership of the child, and unable, despite his tainted heart to kill it or its mother, he exiled them both to the farthest reaches of the kingdom.

In the tall towers of the Drakengard, Ozoric was educated well and grew up a strong, if brooding and unstable youth in the company of the last remnants of the Dragoons. The Dragoon Guard once resided over the kingdom, defending it in ancient times against enemies; swooping down through magically summoned storm clouds that rolled down from the mountains in times of war.

Though the Dragoon now exist only to shackle the dragons in the mountain spires, so that they do not tear the island apart or raze Radasanth in a pillar of flame, vestiges of their splendour remains. Taught how to fight, orate and command the great sky lizards, in his duties as a lancer Ozoric has slowly but surely begun to forgive his own self-loathing, and his father’s selfishness. Though he hopes one day to be able to return to Radasanth, he has found temporary solace in the whip of the gale through his hair as he rides, and the warmth of the deep burning flames in his heart that tell of dark revelations and mysteries in his origins.

One day, he will learn the truth, about his creation, and his name…then, not even a dragon’s flame can burn the anger away from his soul.

History Level One: Ozoric has progressed to the rank of lancer, by learning the history of his upbringing, and through completing the rites of passage. He has heard the Storm Hold, and called the dragon's home. He has mastered the stories and fables of the Drakengard. He can muster guard and stomach the kitchen food. Now that he has become the first half dragon to be a lancer in centuries, the fates have much more in store...the Red Dragon, especially, is watching the young Duke with interest.

History Level Two: Finding a foothold in military strategy, Ozoric has begun to prove himself to the upper echelons of the dragons in reconnaissance and battle. (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?25222-The-Red-Dragon-s-Muster-(Solo)&highlight=Red+Dragon%27s+muster) Though he has yet to kill another, to overcome his pacifism, he is finding himself increasingly exposed to conflict.

In a bid to gain advantage against the Empire, the Drakengard has sought to allay itself with the Ixian Knights, rulers of current dystopian Corone. Ozoric went to meet with their then leader, Sei Orlouge, and garnered his truth through a mutual act of mercy (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?25740-The-Dragon-Knight-(Closed)&highlight=Red+Dragon%27s+muster). Upon finding himself invigorated by the fight, he took to the Citadel to train (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26917-Finding-My-Own-Way-(Open))before the war with the Order and their allies proves the might of the Dragon Riders to the world. Failure is not an option.

Personality: Though Ozoric is young, he has an adult outlook to life. He is emotionally cold, though prone to prolonged episodes of both mania, and manic depression. When manic, he is buoyant, childish, enthusiastic and immensely inquisitive. When depressive, he is prone to long periods of silence, working with his dragons or is often reading in the grand libraries of Drakengard. His reclusion in the lofty heights of the north Corone mountains has left him somewhat deluded into thinking he is more world knowing than he is, and he is easily vexed by well-travelled or wise people who venture into Drakengard.

On the matter of love, he knows little, except that his conflicting emotions about certain young servants and scholars in the bastion must lead to what he has read. He is surprisingly confident and domineering when it comes to academic pursuits, stressful situations or the pressures of working with dragons, but like the most clichéd of anti-heroes with a tragic past, he is utterly undone by speaking about his feelings, or speaking to women outright. Perhaps he is more comfortable in the experience of men; he is still too young to commit to society's conventions.

Skills: Ozoric’s menagerie of skills comes from his education. Ozoric has begun to display complex and deep understanding of dragon behaviour, tactics and working with them.

• Academic: This is the skill to apply logic, reasoning, and tact to problems. Ozoric is highly intelligent, calculating and literate, and possesses an adept level of academic comprehension.

• Military Strategy: Ozoric mastered basic military principles with ease. He has spent far too many hours listening to guards and dragoons recount their tales, and as such, he has developed a keen adept understanding of military stratagems.

• Riding: Ozoric learnt this skill on horseback, trekking through the troughs and farrows of the inner mountain range about the foot of the Drakengard. He is an above average rider on equestrian mounts, and an average rider on dragon back.

• Knowledge (History): Ozoric’s education is exemplary. He has a grasp of world history. Though secluded, and much of his understanding is purely factual and theoretical, he possesses an adept knowledge of the wider world.

• Knowledge (Heraldry): Ozoric learned the endless lists of names of all the royal families of Corone. He can identify the vast majority of recognised insignia from most of the known world. He is an adept herald.

Marshalling: Ozoric knows how to prepare others for war. He can fix armour, repair and sharpen swords, adorn knights in plate mail etc. He is an average smith, squire and consul. Formally a pacifist, he can muster average swordplay and drill himself.

Abilities: Ozoric’s abilities are racial, not magical. Things, which effect spells or enchantments, cannot negate them but things affecting natural talent can disrupt his ability to wield them effectively, as can emotion and stress.

• Draconic Empathy: Ozoric possesses natural ability to communicate with all full and half dragons. His aura causes most dragons, except the most wicked and enraged to stall before attacking and consider him an ally.

• Conductivity: Ozoric possess thermal conductivity that allows leaping, falling, and levitate through convection. It affords him X3 boost to leaping and falling. It can manifest as minor levitation at slow walking pace for up to five minutes.

Inventory: Ozoric has chambers in the Drakengard. He has a collection of books and lexicons. He owns dress, formal, and labour clothes. He has access to dragons, but not his own mount. The use of a dragon is limited to training, war, or patrol.

• Murduk: Ozoric is required to wear riding armour. This is in the traditional form of the Dragoon Lancer. It is a leather and chain light armour suit, with a dragon motif, and a heavier build on his ‘lance’ arm.

• Tamar (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26462-Boots-Be-Made): Pair of red, steel-toed boots. When worn Ozoric can fall from 100ft unharmed, provided he lands with both feet flat on the ground. This will not save him if caught off guard, unconscious, or asleep.
