Vasil Mirkglaive, Cattle Driver, Horse Breeder, Man of Monsters

Age-19

Hair Color-Sandy Blond

Eye Color-Light Green

Height-5'11

Weight-100Lbs

Race-Human

Personality-Many had called Vasil a madman. But he called himself brilliant. He had the ideas of harnessing the power of the legendary Thunder Steeds, which were really rather docile if you got to know them, and use them to help humans instead of ruin them. This has shown him that life is not all about the thrills, it's about helping others. With this, he has grown to become incredibly fond of people, even though he still prefers the company of animals. With that attribute, he is also a man of many strengths, being unfazed in the midst of a battle, and known to be perfectly calm under intense pressure. Unlike some people though, he cracks when there is nothing to do, and is rather bad at standing still.

History-It was a clear day in the fields. The cotton was perfect, ready for picking, and the entire family was standing, baskets in hand, near a bush, one that dwarfed all the others, with a young boy and a large white and black striped cat stuck in it's branches. The boy grinned, his eyes filled with a mirth that could only be caused by boyhood and somethin funny. He quickly said "My name's Vasil! Can you get me down?"The farmer's family only stared on, their eyes wide, as the bush almost triple in size now, started shrinking slowly, yet surely. And within five minute, Vasil was standing on the ground, his tiger sitting obediently at his side. "Terribly sorry. I spilled one of the potions i got from the market. " He bowed to them, his face split by a smile passing ages. "So, as you heard, my name is Vasil, and I drive cattle and breed horse and oxen, and all them nice animals, monsters, and such." The family looked at each other before a man stepped out, his face fissured by many wrinkles of ages, but his frame still full of muscle, caused by over fifty years of hard work on a farm. His hands held the gentle touch of a gardener tending flowers and vegetables, and yet the brute strength of a soldier. "I am Siegfried Draulyan, Owner of this Farm. May i ask you why you are out 'ere?" Siegfried asked, cocking his head to the side. Vasil looked over to him and nodded, his face taking on a more serious look. "There's a heard of horses that show up only when a storm brews, ones that ride as if a black tornado, and fly as if a gale on a summer night. They're known as the Thunder's Steeds" Siegfried looked obviously distraught, his eyes downcast, as he looked to the west, where black clouds were slowly creeping in. "Those things are no horses son. They're elementals, of air, which took on the mannerisms and minds of a horse when their plane was destroyed. " He shook his head, thinking the boy was crazy, but worth it if he could possibly get the damned things under control. Once a year they all came and trampled his crop, burning it all to a crisp that reeked of ozone. He might be cocky, but he was a good kid, and by his looks, he was good on a horse. "Yet from you. I'll reckon you can do it. You'll need to be fast. And you'll need something to take that lightning." Siegfried said, nodding. He liked what he could see. At that moment though, Vasil spoke up, and held up a small cube. "This will take the energy and make it useful. I wanted to sell it, to some mage or sort, but if you'll feed Quan here, ill give it to you and show you how to make it work your mill. " Siegfried's mouth gaped. An automatic mill was a brand new concept to him, not having to push the grindstone would be so much better, and the doc wouldnt be needed every few days. "Yessir. I can do that. What does he eat?" Siegfried asked. And forty minutes later, he really wished he hadnt. The damned cat had eaten most of one of his cows, and then lapped up four buckets of water. And yet it never stopped for air. "What the heck is that think boyo? A devil?" Siegfried asked, his eyes wide, Vasil looked up from his hot stew. "No, he's a mountain tiger. His name is Quan." The boy went back to his stew, lapping it up like a starving man, which he was. And yet outside, a thunderous roll was heard in the distance, and the herder jumped to hhis feet. "That's my que" Vasil mumbled, running to the massive tiger and jumping on it's back skillfully. "I thank you for your help Sir, and i will duly reward you for the food." He said, before nudging the tiger's flank with his heel, and riding off. --- Vasil looked upon the massive herd of black and grey horses, with cloud white manes, and lightning streaks of fur on their necks running up the plains. They were beautiful creatures, no matter how dangerous, even if they lobbed lightning at him as if the storm itself. The Ion would take care of it. He grinned, his eyes alight with a fire that only came from the thrill of a hunt. He drew his bow from his back and shot up an arrow, mumbling an incantation, and suddenly, without notice of any sort, one horse stopped, frozen in it's tracks, and led out as the head stallion. "You'll make a fine mount my friend. Quan here isn't meant for what i use 'im as. He's a hunter, no proper transportation." And with that, he spurred his tiger on, and ran, yelling out in the midst of a rainstorm for calm among wild horses. And within his mind came voices. One of overwhelming anger, but in those was a calm voice, the one of the leader of the herd. "Herder. We are no race to be tamed. We are the storm itself." Vasil shook his head, frowning. But he knew this kind of thing. this was commonplace in his line of work. And he had worked with horses for nineteen years now. Yet these were different as- "Damnit!" Vasil yelled as a lightning bolt arced dangerously close to his head, but was absorbed by the Ion seconds later. "Thunder, Lightning. Bot are harmful, but can be harnessed! You can help the nearby farmers! You will have clean grazing lands instead of these rain steeped flats. All i ask is that two males, and two females come with me to breed, and to ensure the continuation of your race!" Vasil telepathically yelled. And with that, the voices silences, and four horses, one of them the leader trotted over. "If what you say is true, me and my mate will come with you, and breed, as long as our colts remain ours, and when we are gone, you give us honorably back to the air and storm" Vasil nodded, a smile on his face, and bowed in respect. Jumping down off Quan, he went over and stroked his mane. "Though i have one question. What's your name?"

"Stormlight"

Abilities-

Animal Telepathy-Not sure if this is an ability-Vasil can talk to any animal that he has seen with his own eyes. He could not talk to a horse that he's only seen in a book and has not looked at yet.

Fortitude and Fury-Vasil is incredibly resilient. He has stood up to the toughest challenges in life, and is therefore almost impregnable mentally. (50% Higher Willpower)

Calm Before The Storm-Vasil goes into a state of deep meditation, contemplating his enemy's movements, and then striking out in a predatory dance, one of kicks, punches, and flips. This will end in the boom of a thunderclap, and a single lightning bolt hitting the opponent, causing mild burns. Useable three times a battle.

Skills
------
Vasil is a master of martial arts, though he still is rather capable of using weapons.

Animal Tamer-Vasil has the capability to tame any animal given enough time. Say he was given a dog, it would become friendly to him within one week. But give him a bear, he'd have to wait months to gain it's trust. This ability does not work with anything that is related to dragons.

Vasil was born into horses. He lives, breathes, and sleeps horses. This lifelong love is above anything else, excluding the safety of himself and others. This also conveys into his deep knowledge of the horse, from being able to help a mare with pregnancy, to helping a lame horse canter again.

Appearance
----
Vasil Mirkglaive isnt really a remarkable looking man. He stands at six foot, with sandy blonde hair and green eyes. Though they may not sparkles as if emeralds. They are a very uncommon trait in his family, and usually signify great deeds. His hair however, is almost bleached by the sun, and is constantly tied back in a ponytail that descends down to his shoulders. This is held in by a solid steel band. The clothes he's normally found wearing aren't exacty typical, though pretty good for riding. A pair of denim blue jeans and an iron studded black leather chestpiece, with black and grey leather lace-up boots make up his outfit, this is accompanied by an oak greatstaff along with a grey hide cloak on rainy days, and white and black fur cloak on cold ones.

Howdy, you alright overwriting your current character for this one?

Animal Tamer seems more like a skill than an ability. Are you planning on getting a bunch of animals to accompany him everywhere? If so, those animals would become abilities in his profile at a later date.

Calm Before The Storm is fine in terms of damage uses, its probably worth noting that the speed should be 'fictional lightning speed' rather than real world. So people can still react somehow if they notice it descending on them (how realistic their response is would be judged by the mod of the thread).

I sorta threw tamer in there as i wasn't sure what I could write as an ability or not as far as the telepathy goes. So I'll move that to skills.

Count two. I can do that.

Lastly, how do you intend to use Quan?

As he's a rather large tiger, and would probably rip anyone not in plate armor to shreds withing seconds, definitely quest only.

He's mostly just supposed to be Vasil's traveling companion.

And Calm Before the Storm would last approx 5 seconds per use

Apologies for the delay.

The Tiger will need to be an npc rather than a familiar. While he can't be used in battles, it will still cause issues in competitive quests. You can still use him in the same way as a familiar, but will require the consent of the other people in the thread (regardless of type of thread), where as a familiar does not.
