Copy and paste a sample of your writing into this website (http://iwl.me/) to find out what famous author your work resembles. Different pieces may get different results.
So far, I've found that I write like William Shakespeare, JK Rowling, Neil Gaiman, and Ursula K LeGuin.
Er, Tolkien, apparently.
... doesn't everyone hate that guy's writing style, though?
Stephen King. We Mainers gotta stick together.

I apparently write like Chuck Palahniuk and Margaret Atwood.
I am Jack's sarcastically rolling eyes.
I got Vladimir Nabokov(for Devon) and Dan Brown(for Erikar.) Hmph.

Apparently I write like Raymond Chandler.
Never heard of the guy.
Edit:
Okay, so I tried out some of my older writing. Mostly, the results seem pretty random and the authors a little obscure. A few stand out though: William Shakespeare (twice so far), Douglas Adams, Stephen King (For a horror post, which makes me proud), Neil Gaiman, Dan Brown, Chuck Palahniuk, H. P. Lovecraft, Jane Austen and William Gibson.
It seems that, after throwing about 40 posts in there, the test goes more off the content of the writing than style. Sci-fi posts got sci-fi authors, fantasy got fantasy authors. I'd imagine they do a keyword search to identify genre, then match an author with a similar Gunning-Fogg score or something.
Still, an interesting little test for folks :)
I write like
Isaac Asimov
Arthur Clarke
Dan Brown
William Shakespeare
L. Frank Baum
William Gibson

I keep getting James Joyce and often Clarke more oft than not.
Never read the former, never heard of the latter.

Robert Louis Stevenson, over and over again with Dirks. Ceidon got J.D. Salinger or Dafoe. Dafoe doesn't bug me so much, because Ceidon is like Robinson Crusoe. Still, I think Quenton might be onto something as the Ceidon post that matched J.D. Salinger was sort of teenage angsty.
I was hoping for Alexandre Dumas, but we all can't be so lucky.

The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Inferno.
Probably the richest current author behind J.K. Rowling.

Oh god. That hurt my feelings. So much.
I think that site is broken.
