Okay, another simple game (which I created, thus this game is going to be boring or something...) You post a question about writing/ reading anything on Althanas or just plain writing related, the person who posts next replies and adds another question, the third person replies that then posts a question... You should get the idea.

No posting for five more posts after you go - that includes your alts!

I'll start off:
What is your favorite Althanas region to write in and why?

Fox Owen Xavier

Right now, I think Salvar seems to be one of the more interesting areas to write in since it's a lot more wild and untamed. It also seem fairly well developed and the church is definitely something I wanted to make a thread involving but that idea got scrapped due to lack of time. :(

Having said that, I am also very interested in Raiaera. With all the ruins of cities and war torn lands, I could think of all sorts of exciting adventures. The next two characters I have planned are two elves born in Raiaera to hopefully do some quests there. Right now, I believe Christoph is updating the region in his spare time. From the little that I seen, I'm really looking forward to his renewal of the area and hope that increases interest.

Anyways, here's the next question: Who would you like to write with and why? Is there a certain quest or something you would like to do with that person? (Could use IC, OOC, or however you wish to use the question)

Erikar

Oh, definitely Otto or Dirks. If I was writing with Otto, it would be a thread about us forging an epic sword for Erikar. If it was with Dirks, I'm not sure what we'd write about but I still think it would be fun.

Next Question: If there was any one feature you could implement into Althanas, what would it be?

Writing Classes - This is the place where you go to learn how to write specific categories of threads. Examples of categories include Dates, Material Gathering, Fighting, Exploring, Drinking Games, etc. This can help those who want to do a specific type but doesn't quite understand how to do it in an interesting way.

Next Question: If you could Date any of your characters, would you? and if you would then which one?

BlackAndBlueEyes
05-11-14, 07:58 AM
Oh good heavens, no. I've had two female characters; one was a straight up psycho with a penchant for cutting people, and the other is Madison.

Query: What kind of segments would you like to see implemented on Althanas Community Radio?

Erikar
05-11-14, 09:16 AM
Oooh, ooh. I've got one: Weekly Battles Segment - look at ongoing(actively >_>..) battles happening around the site(other than just the clan war), give your opinion and commentary and maybe even who you think would win! Gives some attention to oldbies and newbies alike, since a lot of our newbies fight oldbies to get the hang of things!

Line of Inquisition: If your character could have one power, with absolutely no limitation whatsoever, what would it be?

Quentin Boone

Without a doubt, the denki gama.

Question: What is your character going to be like in a year's time?

Christoph
05-11-14, 03:42 PM
It's hard to say with Elijah. His personal desires and motivation is a constant tug-of-war between pining after the peaceful, normal live he once lived and wanting to make his mark on the world, right wrongs, and generally become more awesome. I reckon it'll come down to who he meets and the impact they make on his life. I'm sure he'll be back in Salvar doing -something-, in any case.

Question: If you could change one thing about the setting, what would it be and why?

Alyssa Snow

If by "setting" you mean the overall Althanas regions, then I would like to see more maps of temples/ruins sprinkled throughout the land. The Corpse Horde, Demon Wars, War of the Tap, and other massive events should all have a few locations scattered about for players to use in their writing. Now I know they can be made up at any time, but just a few notable ruins with a short backstory might allow players to craft deeper, cannon-related arcs. That would probably be best completed during a timeline revamp.

What is your viewpoint about male writers writing female characters and vice versa? Is it odd for you to write against them? Does it jade your decision for your two characters to become intimately involved?

Ashla

I'm okay with guys writing girls and girls writing guys as long as the writings aren't offensive and/ or abusive towards the gender being written. I write several male characters myself and I feel I'm doing a nice job.

Have any of your current Althanas characters been inspired from other characters or character concepts you made in the past?

General Roy
05-21-14, 11:52 PM
Yes, General Roy here was actually created for me to use in my first story. Sadly, that story is lost.

Timothy Gold was actually created for a creative writing class in 11th grade.

If you had to create a dragon character, what would that dragon look like?

Lye

Most likely a skeletal dragon with glowing purple eyes and wings made of undulating shadows. It would breath darkness that would blight and decay anything it touches.

What is your favorite character on the site and why?

Fox Owen Xavier
06-10-14, 10:33 PM
Hmm, really hard to choose, there are a lot of great characters on this site. I think some of the most memorable to me personally would have to be Witchblade (for some reason that sewn mouth and her avatar just sticks with me), Aure (Do I even need to mention why he stands out?), Zack Blaze (Just a true jerk sometimes), Madison (first person writing plus just an awesome character), and Draug (Just a pure evil monster). Out of these many great characters, it's really hard to choose one over the others. Maybe Aure? He does a fantastic job of being the lovable devil while being a horrible half demon to others.

What are some interesting books to you and why? Note: I mean interesting as in unique ideas or plot twist or something that really stood out as different/original in a good way. It might not necessary be your most favorite book.

The Knights of Arrethtrae is my favorite series of books ever. The books are:

Sir Kendrick and the Castle of Bel Lione - A dangerous new order threatens the Knights of Arrethtrae. Only loyalty to the King can bring Victory.
Sir Bentley and Holbrook Court - The people of Holbrook are suffering under the rule of the greedy Lord Kingsley. Can Sir Bentley discover the truth and help restore the kingdom?
Sir Dalton and the Shadow Heart - The shadow of doubt can destroy the most noble man. Can Sir Dalton rediscover his allegiance before it's too late?
Lady Carliss and the Waters of Moorue - Lady Carliss faces the challenge of her life. Can she save the kingdom before it's too late?
Sir Quinlan and the swords of Valor - Two friends face the Dark Knight's deadliest scheme, but only one knight has the courage to overcome.
Sir Rowan and the Camerian Conquest - A knight left for dead. A country on the verge of ruin. And an evil lord rises to conquer.

Question Time: What is your version of the perfect villain like?

Tobias Stalt
06-10-14, 11:29 PM
The perfect villain is an abstract conceptualization. Any villain is perfect, provided they properly foil the situation they're in.

Good or evil.

I suck at writing evil characters, so good xD

Question: Are you one of those writers who gets their best story ideas from dreams and/ or nightmares?

Aurion Centris
06-11-14, 09:37 AM
No. If I translated my dreams or nightmares into stories, they would be potentially the most volatile and disturbing things short of Aurelianus.

If you had to kill one of your characters, how would you do it?

Philomel
06-11-14, 10:41 AM
Aside from just having two of mine deleted and thus permanantly killed...

Are we talking NPC or PC? If PC then I would have to go with Leaf out of Leaf and Philomel because I only have two, but NPC... I would kill off Master Draak of Silence Hall, Phi's psuedo-employer.

I don't want to kill them off D:

Question: If your character became an evil genius what would their first mission be?

Rosie
06-11-14, 12:25 PM
My first mission would be to sit down with the mighty Sei Orlouge and have him train me to enhance my telepathy. Afterwards i would use my gifts to manipulate the npc of Raiaera into doing my bidding.

Question: How would your character cope with becoming completely paralyzed?

Lye
06-11-14, 01:32 PM
He wouldn't. He'd go mad with his lack of control and inability to seek revenge on the world for his wife's death and letting the killer get away. His depression, madness, and loathing would eventually force the rest of his body to shut down. He would lose the will to live while desperately praying for anything free him from the prison that is his body.

Wow. That would really suck for Lye. Let's not write that thread. *nods*

If a series of threads were written where Althanas loses all magical affinity and thereby removing all magic-related abilities, then how would you react as both a writer and character?

Fox Owen Xavier
06-11-14, 04:51 PM
Hoytti!!!! Did you read the opening post before responding to my previous question???? Okay, I'm not really that mad, just wondering if you read the rules or not.

I think more than half my characters would be very sad (Sanste, Fox, Rapture, Tytaunus), one would be truly dead (Sir Walter), and the other (Wolf) would care too much about it. As a writer, I would probably lose my motivation to write. I do love fantasy and magic so taking out the magic would kill half of the apparently little motivation I have.

What is your writing inspiration? Do you want to become a famous writer? Is it just something fun you like doing? Do you want to improve your writing? Or share your adventures? What are the forces that drives you to write?

Aurion Centris
06-11-14, 05:47 PM
One day, I want to write a fantasy series that the entire world can enjoy. I actually have a hard time coming up with ideas and putting pen to paper.

Do you like gummi bears, or are you a heretic?
